Cyber House Rules: James Law Cybertecture International

After training at the Bartlett in London and an influential period working in Itsuko Hasegawa's studio in Tokyo, James Law returned to launch his own practice, James Law Cybertecture International, in Hong Kong. Working globally and across media and disciplinary lines, Law has captured the imagination of his home country - he was recently awarded the Microsoft/Esquire ‘Cool Guy Digital Lifestyle Award 2006’ by the general public as the personality most symbolic of the new digital lifestyle of Hong Kong. Intel64体系结构的数据预取机制及效果

数据预取是为缓解微处理器与DRAM之间速度差异而出现的隐藏访存延迟的方法。当前Intel各系列处理器都采用多种预取机制来加速数据和代码向Cache的移动,从而提升程序的性能。通过对Intel64体系结构存储层次的分析,剖析了X86/X64体系的数据预取机制,包括硬件预取和软件预取,并且分析了编译器对软件预取机制的支持。最后测试了Intel64体系结构数据预取对科学计算程序中紧嵌套循环性能的影响,总结出了影响数据预取有效性的几个因素。此项工作对在Intel平台上进行循环数组预取优化有指导意义。     

DeviceLink技术在PhotoShop中的应用

ICC色彩特性文件(ICC Profile)是用来描述输入、输出设备或者某种色彩空间颜色特性的数据集合,它被广泛用于色彩管理。通常情况下,用设备特性文件在色彩管理中实施颜色转换的时候,要经过连接空间(PCS)进行转换,即先把源颜色空间的颜色转化到PCS空间,再由PCS空间转换到目标颜色空间。连接空间一般是与设备无关的颜色空间,例如CIEXYZ或CIELAB。这种方法在颜色空间转换过程中,会对部分颜色重新进行分色,有可能丢失一些非常重要的颜色信息。而DeviceLink技术与传统的基于ICC的色彩转换不同,能够直接在设备颜色空间之间建立联系。下面我们将探讨DeviceLink Profile的工作原理以及应用。     

肝内胆管细胞癌预后因素分析

Objective:The outcome of surgical treatment of patients with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) is poor.This study was designed to analyze prognostic factors after surgical procedure for ICCs.Methods:A retrospective clinical analysis was made in 183 cases of ICC,admitted to Department of Hepatic Surgery,Eastern Hepatobiliary Surgery Hospital,Second Military Medical University,Shanghai,China,from December 1996 to July 2003.Fifteen clinicopathologic factors that could possibly influence survival were selected.A multivariate analysis of these individuals was performed using the Cox Pro-portional Hazards Model.Results:The accumulative 1-,3- and 5-year survival rates of the patients were 51.3%,21.6% and 11.8% respectively.The statistical analysis showed that surgical procedure,lymph node metastasis,serum level of CA19-9 and pathological differentiation grade affected postoperative survival significantly,but transfusion,postoperative radiotherapy and chemotherapy,diameter of tumor,serum level of AFP,cirrhosis,preoperative total serum bilirubin level (TBIL),ratio of albumin to globulin (A/G),sex and age were not significant factors influencing postoperative survival.Conclusion:Major hepatectomy with systematic lymph node dissection may be recommended for the surgical treatment of ICC.Aggressive treat-ment and prevention on postoperative intrahepatic recurrence and lymph node metastasis are important strategy to improve the survival for ICC.     

特性文件制作软件精度对比的研究

通过实验研究,比较了几种常用生成ICC特性文件的色彩管理软件的优劣,提出了针对各类特性文件规范的评价方法和评价步骤。同时,根据具体实验所获得针对几种软件产品的独立与客观的评价结果,采用色度精度分级方式,为软件用户建立了一种可靠的选择依据。     

印刷色彩管理的色域映射技术

基于色域映射技术在印刷色彩管理与跨媒体图像复制中的核心地位,阐述了色域映射的基本原则和色域映射的方式。初步探讨了色域映射技术研究的主要内容,包括色域映射空间的选择、色域边界的计算、色域映射的类型、媒介色域与图像色域的选择、色域映射的方向,并预见了色域映射技术的两个发展方向。     

Intent Pattern Recognition of Lower-limb Motion Based on Mechanical Sensors

Based on the regularity nature of lower-limb motion, an intent pattern recognition approach for above-knee prosthesis is proposed in this paper. To remedy the defects of recognizer based on electromyogram (EMG), we develop a pure mechanical sensor architecture for intent pattern recognition of lower-limb motion. The sensor system is composed of an accelerometer, a gyroscope mounted on the prosthetic socket, and two pressure sensors mounted under the sole. To compensate the delay in the control of prosthesis, the signals in the stance phase are used to predict the terrain and speed in the swing phase. Specifically, the intent pattern recognizer utilizes intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) according to the Cartesian product of walking speed and terrain. Moreover, the sensor data are fused via DempsterShafer's theory. And hidden Markov model (HMM) is used to recognize the realtime motion state with the reference of the prior step. The proposed method can infer the prosthesis user's intent of walking on different terrain, which includes level ground, stair ascent, stair descent, up and down ramp. The experiments demonstrate that the intent pattern recognizer is capable of identifying five typical terrain-modes with the rate of 95.8%. The outcome of this investigation is expected to substantially improve the control performance of powered above-knee prosthesis.      

ONYX RIP专色匹配技巧

色彩管理在电子雕刻凹版制版中的应用

为了保证凹印制版质量,利用三种特性文件生成软件(Monaco、Profile-Maker和GMG Profile Editor),生成电子雕刻凹版印刷特征文件,将所建立的profile特性文件采用不同的色彩管理方法对凹版制版进行色彩管理,考察印刷品的色彩再现性,分析比较生成凹版印刷的ICC特性文件的软件与色彩管理方法。研究结果表明,相比较而言,利用Monaco软件生成的特性文件色域范围较大;利用Profile maker生成的特性文件在蓝色到黄绿色的色域范围较小;利用GMG Profile Editer软件生成的文件在a轴(红绿色域范围)色域比前两者都要优秀。采用GMG色彩管理方法对凹版制版进行色彩管理,能获得良好的效果,为最佳凹印色彩管理方案。     

ICC印刷流程中感知映射意图评价

一场对于ICCv2和v4感知映射意图参考色域的视觉评估实验在Bonnier等人前期实验的基础上展开了。实验的目的在于评估sRGB v2和v4中感知映射意图在ICC打印工作流的表现。用于评估的文件包括ISO标准sRGB图像,所有图像均从一台色域范围中等打印机输出,承印介质为普通打印纸。实验邀请到了两组评估人员,专业评估组均为经验丰富的图像质量评估人员,或为色彩学研究人员,普通评估组由未曾接触过图像质量评估的人员组成,所有人员均有正常的色彩视觉感知。实验结果显示,ICC v4打印工作流在总体上优于v2版本,但从偏好性和复制准确性来看,所有测试的打印工作流没有同时满足这两项要求;从评估者本身来分析,专业评估组对于图像质量的判断从自身一致性和同批一致性上均优于普通评估组,偏好性实验的结果与前期Bonnier等人的实验结果一致。
