Over the past decade, ionic liquids (ILs) have become one of the fastest growing “green” media for chemists and engineers due to their superb physicochemical properties. The applications of these remarkable salts in reactions and extraction processes have been extensively investigated and reviewed. This review, however, highlights recent advances of ILs as versatile “green” engineering liquids in a variety of industrial applications including heat transfer fluids, azeotrope-breaking liquids, lubricants, electrolytes, liquid crystals, supported IL membranes, plasticizers, and more. This review is not intended to be comprehensive, but rather to discuss the potentials of ILs for diverse industrial applications.  相似文献

Reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography was successfully developed for the simultaneous and rapid separation for the main whey proteins, α-Lactalbumin and β-Lactoglobulin. This method consisted of a linear gradient of the two mobile phases of 0.1% trifluoroacetic acid in water and 0.1% trifluoroacetic acid in acetonitrile. The total run time for this separation was approximately 30 min, and α-Lactalbumin was eluted followed byβ- Lactoglobulin. The injection volume was fixed at 20 μl and the flow rate was 1 ml 1/min. The optimum mobile phase composition and gradient conditions to separate α-Lactalbumin and β-Lactoglobulin (A+B) were experimentally obtained at the 15 μm particle with a pore size of 300 Å on the linear-gradient mode.  相似文献

A mathematical model is proposed to describe the effects of boundary layer resistance and interfacial reaction on the time lag in supported liquid membranes for metal ion separation. The model shows that the presence of boundary layer resistance and interfacial reaction delays the time-lag, compared with the limiting case that rapid equilibrium at the interfaces and negligible boundary layer resistance are assumed. Calculated result describes the expected trend and the model equation allows one to predict the lumped parameters which represent the ratios of the diffusion time in the membrane to the characteristic time for boundary layer transfer and interfacial reactions.  相似文献

Polyarylates from substituted hydroquinones (HQs) and p-terphenyl-4,4″-dicarboxylic acid (TPDA) that were modified with 1,2-bis(phenoxy)ethane-4,4′-dicarboxylic acid (PEC), 1,2-bis(2-chlorophenoxy)ethane-4,4′-dicarboxylic acid (ClPEC), terephthalic acid (TA) and p-hydroxybenzoic acid (HBA) were prepared and their thermal and mechanical properties were investigated. These polyarylates exhibited liquid crystallinity at about the same temperatures as polyarylates derived from substituted HQs and 4,4′-diphenyldicarboxylic acid (BB). However, as-spun fibers and injection-molded specimens of these polyarylates exhibited lower moduli than those of substituted HQs and BB that were modified with PEC, Cl-PEC and TA.  相似文献

The ((Bi3.5La0.5)Ti3O12(BLT) thin-films used in this study were fabricated on a Pt(111)/SiO2/Si(100) substrate by a Liquid Source Misted Chemical Deposition (LSMCD) technique. X-ray diffraction patterns showed that the BLT films were crystallized and no other phases were observed when annealed above 650 ‡C. Grain size and remnant polarizations increased with increase in the annealing temperature, while leakage current densities decreased. The remnant polarizations (Pr) increased from 2.0 to 4.8 and 19.0 μC/cm2 with increase in the annealing temperature from 650 to 700 and 750 ‡C, respectively. The BLT films annealed at 700 ‡C in O2 showed a good fatigue resistance of reduced polarization by 10% after 109 switching cycles when 9 V of bipolar voltage was applied at a frequency of 40 kHz.  相似文献

Novel thermotropic liquid crystalline polymers (TLCP) with improved processability and lower cost than Vectra® were synthesized by esterification and melt polycondensation. Aromatic compounds, 6-hydroxyl-2-naphthoic acid, 2,6-naphthlenedicarboxylic acid, 4-hydroxybenzoic acid or terephthalic acid, were used as polycyclic stiff rod-like mesogenic groups. Aliphatic diol, ethylene glycol or 1,4-butanediol was used as flexible spacers to form semi-flexible main chain TLCP. The LCP products were characterized by FT-IR and 1H NMR to identify their chemical structures. The analytical results showed the polymers had inherent viscosities of 0.35-0.54 dL/g. The crank shaft structure of the naphthalene decreased the melting temperature (Tm) of LCP (181-272 °C) to facilitate extrusion or injection molding, and maintained relatively high heat deflection temperature for high performance engineering plastics applications. The 5% weight loss decomposition temperatures were above 400 °C. LCPs have good solvent resistance and low hygroscopicity. The SEM morphology showed strong orientation on the surface in the flow direction and many micro-fibers structure in a sectional drawing. The optical textures of polymers observed by POM revealed a strong birefringence in the melts and indicated that they form nematic mesophase. All polymers have broad mesophase temperature (ΔTmeso) ranges.  相似文献
