A turbulent gas particle finite-volume flow simulation of a representative coal classifier is presented. Typical values of the loading ratio permit a one-way coupling analysis. As a case study, the computational fluid dynamics code,ranstad, and the modelling aspects are discussed in some detail. The simulation indicates that small (≈ 30 μm) coal particles pass through the classifier to the furnace but that large (≈ 300 μm) particles are captured and remilled. The computational simulation indicates that the classifier performance can be improved by internal geometric modification. The commitment of the Electricity Commission of New South Wales (Pacific Power) to the exploitation of Computational Engineering for the improvement of all aspects of electricity generation is acknowledged.  相似文献

The development of massively parallel supercomputers provides a unique opportunity to advance the state of the art inN-body simulations. TheseN-body codes are of great importance for simulations in stellar dynamics and plasma physics. For systems with long-range forces, such as gravity or electromagnetic forces, it is important to increase the number of particles toN 107 particles. Significantly improved modeling ofN body systems can be expected by increasingN, arising from a more realistic representation of physical transport processes involving particle diffusion and energy and momentum transport. In addition, it will be possible to guarantee that physically significant portions of complex physical systems, such as Lindblad resonances of galaxies or current sheets in magnetospheres, will have an adequate population of particles for a realistic simulation. Particle-mesh (PM) and particle-particle particle-mesh (P3M) algorithms present the best prospects for the simulation of large-scaleN-body systems. As an example we present a two-dimensional PM simulation of a disk galaxy that we have developed on the Connection Machine-2, a massively parallel boolean hypercube supercomputer. The code is scalable to any CM-2 configuration available and, on the largest configuration, simulations withN = 128 M = 227 particles are possible in reasonable run times.  相似文献

By combining linear graph theory with the principle of virtualwork, a dynamic formulation is obtained that extends graph-theoreticmodelling methods to the analysis of flexible multibody systems. Thesystem is represented by a linear graph, in which nodes representreference frames on rigid and flexible bodies, and edges representcomponents that connect these frames. By selecting a spanning tree forthe graph, the analyst can choose the set of coordinates appearing inthe final system of equations. This set can include absolute, joint, orelastic coordinates, or some combination thereof. If desired, allnon-working constraint forces and torques can be automaticallyeliminated from the dynamic equations by exploiting the properties ofvirtual work. The formulation has been implemented in a computerprogram, DynaFlex, that generates the equations of motion in symbolicform. Three examples are presented to demonstrate the application of theformulation, and to validate the symbolic computer implementation.  相似文献

The basis of directional stimulus-response compatibility was studied using a task in which 128 participants moved a cursor into targets with a joystick, resembling the operation of certain industrial and construction equipment. Compatible and incompatible versions of three alternative compatibility principles were compared in all combinations. Visual Field (VF) compatibility was present if cursor and controlling limb movement were in the same direction in the visual field, Control Display (CD) compatibility meant that the control motion was in the same direction as, and parallel to, cursor motion, and Muscle Synergy (MS) compatibility was defined as use of the muscle synergy normally associated with the required direction as seen in the visual field. VF-compatible conditions had significantly shorter reaction, movement and homing times, and fewer reversal errors, for males and females, in two testing sites. These advantages were maintained over practice. VF compatibility was confirmed as a robust spatial compatibility principle that is affected by neither the orientation of the operator's limb or head, nor the muscle synergy used in executing the task. It offers not only more rapid performance, but also a markedly reduced rate of potentially dangerous directional errors. The relationship between this finding and theoretical aspects of stimulus-response compatibility is discussed.  相似文献

The collective dislocation behavior near a crack tip in a ductile layer sandwiched between two brittle solids is analyzed via two-dimensional dislocation dynamics (DD) simulations that incorporate a cohesive zone (CZ) model. The cohesive crack tip is treated as part of a much larger finite crack confined in the ductile layer. The underlying boundary value problem is formulated with a set of boundary integral equations and numerically evaluated with a collocation method. The fracture energy of the layered composite material is shown to be strongly correlated with the layer thickness and is directly influenced by the cohesive strength of the ductile layer (Hsia KJ et al. 采用分子动力学方法和QSC(Quantum Sutton-Chen)力场研究了升温速率对金属银和金属铅的熔化和过热行为的影响。研究结果表明,升温速率对金属银和铅的熔化和过热行为有很大影响,随着升温速率的升高,金属的熔点有所升高。高的升温速率会导致金属体系内部无序化程度增加,降低了熔化相变的能垒。升温速率导致的银和铅完美晶体的过热极限分别为1450K和800K。  相似文献

用通用数学建模系统软件GAMS建立了一个可以用于中长期预测和政策模拟的可计算一般均衡(CGE)模型系统.本系统由人口增长模型、生产模型和消费与储蓄模型组成.利用各个模型间的综合平衡关系和模型的动态反馈结构,将人口增长模型的输出作为外生变量,工资替代率和退休年龄作为控制变量,研究了按照中国人口老龄化的速度和依然运行传统的社会保障体系将会给国民经济和人民生活水平带来的影响,并探索了现有养老金系统改革可能达到的经济与社会效益.  相似文献

This paper analyzes the formulation of energy preserving/decaying schemes for dynamics problems. We argue that any energy preserving/decaying scheme can always be seen as composed of an underlying temporal discretization, that is then slightly modified in order to prove a discrete energy bound within a time step. While the details of the modified scheme depend in a critical way on the governing equations, the underlying discretization can in principle be applied to a variety of models. We review some of the temporal underlying schemes recently proposed in the literature, presenting them with a common notation. We show their similarities and highlight their differences.  相似文献
