Slag foaming is an important phenomenon in steelmaking processes with both beneficial as well as negative effects. The present work is part of the wider project on the modelling of slag foaming, with special reference to dynamic conditions. Since bubble formation is the first step to foam formation, the present work was carried out in an attempt to simulate the bubble formation in slag/metal reactions in steelmaking processes by water‐modelling experiments. The bubble formation due to the gas produced through chemical reaction at the interface between oleic acid and sodium bicarbonate solution was systematically monitored. The chemical reaction rate was varied by varying the concentration of sodium bicarbonate. The bubbles were observed to be generated in the heavier aqueous phase just below the water‐oil interface. The bubbles penetrated the interface and escaped through the oil phase. The rate of the reaction was estimated from the volume of the gas that passed the water/oil interface. It was observed that the bubble formation and bubble growth mechanism were influenced by the reaction rate while the bubble size seemed to be unaffected by the reaction rate.  相似文献

The upward bubble velocity and the pierce length distributions in a sectional water model of the copper converter in Guixi Smelter in Jiangxi, China, were measured using a two-contact electro-resistivity probe. In the case of using a single tuyere, the bubble velocity distribution along longitudinal direction was similar to that derived from Guassian function. Beyond the center of the longitudinal range, the bubble pierce length exhibited a sudden increase. The upward bubble velocity at a specified location could go up to meters per second. Its probability at a fixed location obeys a lognormal function; the bubble pierce length there varies bellow a few centimeters. In the case of using multi-tuyeres, the upward bubble velocity was roughly uniform right above the tuyeres and showed a slow decrease beyond this region. The bubble pierce length within both of these two regions was roughly uniform. Its average value in the former region, however, was found to be somewhat lower than that in the later.  相似文献

为解决传统UP炉存在的水冷壁热敏感性强、调峰能力受限制、锅炉运行安全性差等问题,姚孟发电有限责任公司1号锅炉水冷壁改造采用低质量流速设计,使用优化内螺纹管作传热元件,使运行中的水冷壁具有很适的正流量响应能力。这种特性使垂直管水冷壁具有很好的抗热偏差能力,全负荷范围内水动力稳定,并满足机组滑压运行要求。这种低质量流速设计开创了直流锅炉水动力设计的新理念,也为国产UP炉改造提供了新思路。  相似文献

以俄罗斯西伯利亚研究院通过实验总结出的液体介质气泡击穿理论的全新阐述作为理论基础,开展了300 NS短脉冲下高压强水介质开关的击穿实验,获得了该条件下水介质击穿场强及耐压时间与水中压强关系的数据。结果表明在300 NS脉冲电压实验平台下,当水介质场强变化率为2~3 MV/CM时,水介质击穿电压和耐压时间均随着水中压强的提高而呈上升趋势,且趋势越来越显著。  相似文献

Instrumented experiments were conducted in concrete models to study the explosion-induced radial strain and fracture effect of rock-like media under confined explosion with a charge of cyclonite. As a charge was exploded,two different radial strain waves were sequentially recorded by a strain gage at a distance of 80 mm from the center of charge. Through the attenuation formula of the maximum compressive strain(εrmax), the distribution of εrmax and its strain rate(ε) between the charge and gage were obtained. The effect of the two waves propagating outwards on the radial fracture of surrounding media was discussed. The results show that the two waves are pertinent to the loading of shock energy (Es) and bubble energy (Eb) against concrete surrounding charge, respectively. The former wave lasts for much shorter time than the latter. The peak values of εrmax and ε of the former are higher than those of the latter, respectively.  相似文献

Fibre Metal Laminates with layers of aluminium alloy and high strength glass fibre composite have been reported to possess excellent impact properties and be suitable for aircraft parts likely to be subjected to impacts such as runway debris or bird strikes. In a collaborative research project, aircraft wing leading edge structures with a glass-based FML skin have been designed, built, and subjected to bird strike tests that have been modelled with finite element analysis. In this second part of a two-part paper, a finite element model is developed for simulating the bird strike tests, using Smooth Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) for modelling the bird and the material model developed in Part 1 of the paper for modelling the leading edge skin. The bird parameters are obtained from a system identification analysis of strikes on flat plates. Pre-test simulations correctly predicted that the bird did not penetrate the leading edge skin, and correctly forecast that one FML lay-up would deform more than the other. Post test simulations included a model of the structure supporting the test article, and the predicted loads transferred to the supporting structure were in good agreement with the experimental values. The SPH bird model showed no signs of instability and correctly modelled the break-up of the bird into particles. The rivets connecting the skin to the ribs were found to have a profound effect on the performance of the structure.  相似文献

复杂物理现象通常由多类复杂的物理过程紧耦合构成,其数值模拟也通常由适用不同物理过程的多类并行应用程序紧耦合完成。如何设计这些物理过程之间的联接算法,既要保证程序之间数据传递的高效,又要保证程序各自运行和总体模拟的高效,还要保证程序各自开发的独立,是一个值得研究的课题。文章基于广泛应用于高温高压物理研究中的辐射流体力学和中子输运多物理并行数值模拟,在非结构网格上,提出了两种联接算法:完全松散联接算法和两层紧耦合联接算法。前者侧重于实现程序各自运行的高效和开发的独立,后者在前者的基础上,还权衡了数据传递和总体模拟的高效。在两台并行机的数百个处理机上,通信复杂度分析和数值实验结果表明,两种算法均是有效的,可推广应用到其他多物理并行数值模拟。特别是,两层紧耦合联接算法是高效可扩展的,取得了近似最优的并行性能。  相似文献

在内径为190mm的鼓泡塔内,研究了空气-去离子水系统在大孔径高气速条件下的单孔气泡形成。考察了五个不同的孔径,分别为4、8、10、15及21mm,孔口气速范围为0.8~154.8m·s-1。以CCD摄像记录气泡的形状及尺寸,根据气泡长径比的变化,得到气泡初始形态转变时的临界孔口气速:当孔口气速低于20m·s-1时,孔口气泡近似于球形,长径比小于1.1;当孔口气速大于50m·s-1时,气泡呈现椭球形,长径比大于1.5。并对气泡尺寸与孔径及孔口气速进行关联,所得关联式对孔径大于3mm、孔口气速在10~80m·s-1范围内所形成的气泡尺寸预测效果较好。  相似文献
