A novel process termed as bioevaporation was established to completely evaporate wastewater by metabolic heat released from the aerobic microbial degradation of the organic matters contained in the highly concentrated organic wastewater itself. By adding the glucose solution and ground food waste (FW) into the biodried sludge bed, the activity of the microorganisms in the biodried sludge was stimulated and the water in the glucose solution and FW was evaporated. As the biodegradable volatile solids (BVS) concentration in wastewater increased, more heat was produced and the water removal ratio increased. When the volatile solids (VS) concentrations of both glucose and ground FW were 120 g L−1, 101.7% and 104.3% of the added water was removed, respectively, by completely consuming the glucose and FW BVS. Therefore, the complete removal of water and biodegradable organic contents was achieved simultaneously in the bioevaporation process, which accomplished zero-discharge treatment of highly concentrated organic wastewater. 相似文献

A three-dimensional elastic finite element (FE) model, considering merely the geometric nonlinearity, is used in the first part of this paper to study the overall buckling resistance of hollow tubular flange plate girders (HTFPGs). Modeling is conducted using the general-purpose FE software package ABAQUS under mid-span concentrated loads. The developed model consists of the type and number of elements that allows capturing the different possible buckling mode patterns including local, interactive and lateral-torsional buckling. Finite element results revealed that, unlike the case of conventional beams with solid webs, the moment-gradient factor is significantly influenced by the girder geometry and slenderness. Hence, an equation representing the factor for the case of HTFPGs with slender stiffened webs is proposed. The paper extends to investigate the nonlinear flexural strengths of such girders. The results are compared to the AISC predictions. The original AISC predictions are found to be highly conservative using the code recommended value as well as the current proposed value. However, the suggested AISC strength (found in Hassanein et al., 2013 [1]) using is found to be the best among other values but it suffers from the discontinuity in the flexural strength-unbraced length relationship. Accordingly, a line representing the middle part of this relationship is currently assumed. Comparisons with FE results indicate that the currently proposed AISC method can fairly predict the flexural strength of the HTFPGs with slender stiffened webs. 相似文献

The characteristics of UF resin prepared with concentrated formaldehyde were studied in this paper. With the molar ratio F/U = 1.1, the UF resin prepared with concentrated formaldehyde showed better mechanical properties than that with formalin. The 13C-NMR and FTIR results indicated that there were more methylene groups, ether groups and urons in a UF resin system prepared with concentrated formaldehyde than those in a normal UF resin. The differential scanning calorimetry and DMA results showed that the curing temperature of UF resin with concentrated formaldehyde was lower than that of a normal UF resin. UF resin with concentrated formaldehyde showed worse thermal stability and higher thermal decomposition temperature. 相似文献
