Fine temperature control is essential in homeothermic animals. Both hyper- and hypothermia can have deleterious effects. Multiple, efficient and partly redundant mechanisms of adjusting the body temperature to the value set by the internal thermostat exist. The neural circuitry of temperature control and the neurotransmitters involved are reviewed. The GABAergic inhibitory output from the brain thermostat in the preoptic area POA to subaltern neural circuitry of temperature control (Nucleus Raphe Dorsalis and Nucleus Raphe Pallidus) is a function of the balance between the (opposite) effects mediated by the transient receptor potential receptor TRPM2 and EP3 prostaglandin receptors. Activation of TRPM2-expressing neurons in POA favors hypothermia, while inhibition has the opposite effect. Conversely, EP3 receptors induce elevation in body temperature. Activation of EP3-expressing neurons in POA results in hyperthermia, while inhibition has the opposite effect. Agonists at TRPM2 and/or antagonists at EP3 could be beneficial in hyperthermia control. Activity of the neural circuitry of temperature control is modulated by a variety of 5-HT receptors. Based on the theoretical model presented the “ideal” antidote against serotonin syndrome hyperthermia appears to be an antagonist at the 5-HT receptor subtypes 2, 4 and 6 and an agonist at the receptor subtypes 1, 3 and 7. Very broadly speaking, such a profile translates in a sympatholytic effect. While a compound with such an ideal profile is presently not available, better matches than the conventional antidote cyproheptadine (used off-label in severe serotonin syndrome cases) appear to be possible and need to be identified. 相似文献

目的:探讨阿立哌唑联合草酸艾司西酞普兰对重度抑郁患者多巴胺(DA)、5-羟色胺(5-HT)和皮质醇的影响。方法:将94例重度抑郁症患者分为观察组和对照组。对照组采用草酸艾司西酞普兰治疗。观察组采用阿立哌唑联合草酸艾司西酞普兰治疗。采用汉密尔顿焦虑量表(HAMD-17)评估患者的抑郁状态。检测两组患者治疗前后DA、5-HT、皮质醇的水平。采用健康状况问卷(SF-36)评估患者的生存质量,包括生理功能、躯体疼痛、生理职能、精神健康、情感职能、生命活力、社会功能、总体健康。观察两组患者治疗过程中不良反应的发生情况。结果:观察组的有效率比对照组高,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05);两组治疗后的皮质醇、HAMD-17评分显著降低,DA、5-HT显著升高,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05);观察组治疗后的皮质醇、HAMD-17评分低于对照组,DA、5-HT高于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05);两组治疗后的生理功能、躯体疼痛、生理职能、精神健康、情感职能、生命活力、社会功能、总体健康显著升高,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05);观察组治疗后的生理功能、躯体疼痛、生理职能、精神健康、情感职能、生命活力、社会功能、总体健康高于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。两组的不良反应发生率差异无统计学意义(P>0.05)。结论:阿立哌唑可进一步调节重度抑郁患者DA、5-HT和皮质醇的水平,提高临床疗效,改善生存质量。 相似文献

为了赋予涤/棉混纺织物良好的阻燃性能,以pH值为5、质量分数为1%壳聚糖溶液和pH值为2、质量分数为1.5%植酸钠溶液,通过静电层层自组装法,对经多巴胺改性后的涤/棉(65/35)混纺织物进行阻燃整理。其中正负离子交替沉积1次记为组装1层,第1层内每次组装15 min,第1层后各次组装时间为5 min,共组装15层。探讨了整理后织物极限氧指数(LOI)、炭长、热重、热释放速率、炭渣形貌等性能。结果表明:多巴胺改性可以提高涤/棉混纺织物的反应性,有利于阻燃整理;整理后织物阻燃性能显著提高,LOI值从未整理时的18.8%提高到28.7%;热分解温度比未整理织物大幅提前,炭渣含量较未整理提高了5.7%;整理后织物点燃时间延长,平均热释放速率(HRR)和峰值热释放速率(PHRR)分别为14.16 k W/m2和51.07 k W/m2,相较未整理涤/棉织物下降了84.62%和78.47%,织物燃烧危险性显著降低。 相似文献

There is good evidence that interference with the mesolimbic dopamine (DA) system results in impaired maternal responding in postpartum female rats. However, whether activation of the mesolimbic DA system is capable of promoting maternal behavior has not been investigated. This study examined whether increasing DA activity in various brain regions of pregnancy-terminated, naive female rats would stimulate the onset of maternal behavior. Experiments 1 and 2 examined the effects of microinjection of various doses (0, 0.2, or 0.5 μg/0.5 μl/side) of a D? DA receptor agonist, SKF 38393, or a D? DA receptor agonist, quinpirole, into the nucleus accumbens (NA) on latency to show full maternal behavior, and Experiment 3 determined the effects of SKF 38393 injection into a control site. Finally, because the medial preoptic area (MPOA) is also important for maternal behavior, receives DA input, and expresses DA receptors, the authors examined whether microinjection of SKF 38393 into MPOA was capable of stimulating the onset of maternal behavior. Results indicated that microinjection of SKF 38393 into either the NA or the MPOA facilitates maternal responding in pregnancy-terminated rats. Natural polymer hydrogels have good mechanical properties and biocompatibility. This study designed hydroxyapatite-enhanced photo-oxidized double-crosslinked hydrogels. Hyaluronic acid (HA) and gelatin (Gel) were modified with methacrylate anhydride. The catechin group was further introduced into the HA chain inspired by the adhesion chemistry of marine mussels. Hence, the double-crosslinked hydrogel (HG) was formed by the photo-crosslinking of double bonds and the oxidative-crosslinking of catechins. Moreover, hydroxyapatite was introduced into HG to form hydroxyapatite-enhanced hydrogels (HGH). The results indicate that, with an increase in crosslinking network density, the stiffness of hydrogels became higher; these hydrogels have more of a compact pore structure, their anti-degradation property is improved, and swelling property is reduced. The introduction of hydroxyapatite greatly improved the mechanical properties of hydrogels, but there is no change in the stability and crosslinking network structure of hydrogels. Dopamine is a molecule that facilitates biomineralization, and it is used to prepare electropolymerization‐induced polydopamine (PDA). For the first time, dopamine is used for template‐free electrochemical polymerization to form biocompatible polypyrrole (PPy) nanofiber coatings on bone implants. Dopamine monomers are electropolymerized to PDA chains affixed to biomedical titanium after the nanomicelles are tuned to self‐assemble by triggering the potential, resulting in nanofiber formation. Dopamine serves as a dopant to induce the formation of conductive PPy nanofibers and as a promoter to accelerate biomineralization, cell proliferation, and adhesion.

The behaviour of a poly (aniline boronic acid) (PABA) modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) for the detection of dopamine (DA) in the presence of excess of ascorbic acid (AA) using cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) techniques is investigated. On bare GCE, both DA and AA are oxidized at ~0.16 V, whereas on PABA modified GCE they are oxidized at 0.2 and 0.054 V, respectively. Though PABA favours DA oxidation through ester formation with boronic acid motif, the AA oxidation is also promoted by polyaniline backbone through the involvement of AA in the redox of polyaniline. Since both DA and AA undergo oxidation at closely spaced potentials at a PABA electrode, Nafion®-incorporation into the PABA film was examined for selective determination of DA in the presence of AA. The selectivity was due to accumulation of DA on the electrode surface through ester formation with the boronic acid group and suppression of AA oxidative current through charge discrimination by Nafion. 相似文献
