Viscosimetric measurements were obtained with the ternary systems polystyrene/dioxane/methanol, polystyrene/benzene/methanol and poly(methyl methacrylate)/dioxane/cyclohexane, changing the solvent mixture composition at constant temperature. The polystyrene and poly(methyl methacrylate) systems exhibit a transition phenomenon with solvent-mixture composition in which the polymer is just above the theta condition. In the case where two theta conditions occur ((θ-intra, θ-inter) the transition point is closely related to the intramolecular theta conditions. Moreover the intramolecular theta conditions vary with the molecular weight in the region of molecular weights where the preferential adsorption also varies. This variation induces a variation of the transition point with molecular weight which obeys a formula analogous to that giving the variation of the preferential adsorption with molecular weight. 相似文献

The present work investigates the relationships between the microstructural state and fracture properties in commercial polypropylene‐based materials. In this case an isopolypropylene homopolymer and three ethylene propylene block copolymers (EPBC) with different ethylene content (EC) have been studied. A variety of morphologies were obtained by a combination of several processing methods (injection molding, injection molding‐annealing, and compression molding) and thickness. Fracture behavior of deeply double‐edged notched specimens was evaluated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and by the essential work of fracture (EWF) method, analyzing the influence of processing, thickness (t), EC, and orientation respect to melt flow direction (MD and TD). The testing direction and EC are the most relevant variables that affect the ability of the crack tip to deform plastically during the crack propagation, determining the final fracture behavior. The fracture parameters obtained with the EWF method, specific EWF, we, and plastic item, βwp, have proved to be very sensitive to the processing induced morphology, finding interesting relationships between such morphologies (characterized by crystallinity index, orientation level, and skin/core ratio) and the fracture parameters of the plaques. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Two new poly(p‐phenylenevinylene) (PPV) derivatives containing oxadiazole moiety (OXA‐PPV1 and OXA‐PPV2) were synthesized by the Wittig condensation polymerization reaction. Their thermal and light‐emitting properties were investigated. The single‐ and triple‐layer electroluminescent (EL) devices with configurations of ITO/polymer/Al and ITO/polymer/OXD‐7/Alq3/Al were fabricated. They exhibited blue emission at 470 nm for OXA‐PPV1 and green emission at 560 nm for OXA‐PPV2. The turn‐on voltages of triple‐layer device were 11 V for OXA‐PPV1 and 8 V for OXA‐PPV2. The triple‐layer EL devices showed much better performance than did the single‐layer devices. In this paper, we develop the Contoured Robust Controller Bode (CRCBode) plot and demonstrate its use in the design of robust controllers for nonlinear single‐input single‐output (SISO) systems. The CRCBode plot shows contours (level sets) of a robust performance quantity on the Bode magnitude and phase plots of the controller. An iterative frequency domain loop‐shaping design approach is employed to eliminate all intersections of the controller frequency response with certain ‘forbidden regions,’ indicating that a standard SISO robust stability and performance criterion is satisfied. Nonlinearities are accounted for by avoiding the maximum forbidden regions over a structured uncertainty set consisting of linearizations of the system dynamics about several operating points. We demonstrate this technique by designing and experimentally verifying a flow‐rate controller for a butterfly‐valve based liquid cooling system, which is robust to valve nonlinearities and flow disturbances. Finally, we compare this compensator with one generated using an automated H ∞ synthesis algorithm and discuss the advantages of the CRCBode approach. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献

Semi‐Markovian jump systems, due to the relaxed conditions on the stochastic process, and its transition rates are time varying, can be used to describe a larger class of dynamical systems than conventional full Markovian jump systems. In this paper, the problem of stochastic stability for a class of semi‐Markovian systems with mode‐dependent time‐variant delays is investigated. By Lyapunov function approach, together with a piecewise analysis method, a sufficient condition is proposed to guarantee the stochastic stability of the underlying systems. As more time‐delay information is used, our results are much less conservative than some existing ones in literature. The paper deals with the control problem of discrete‐time nonlinear systems. The main contribution of this note is to present conditions that assure the existence of stationary policies that generate lower bounds for the minimal long‐run average cost. These lower bounds coincide with the optimal solution when a mild convergence assumption holds. To illustrate the results, the paper presents an application for the simultaneous state‐feedback control problem, and the derived strategy is used to design a real‐time simultaneous control for two direct current motor devices. The dynamics of these two devices are written in terms of a nonlinear algebraic matrix recurrence, which in turn represents a particular case for our general nonlinear approach. The optimal gain for the corresponding simultaneous state‐feedback problem is obtained, and such a gain was implemented in a laboratory testbed to control simultaneously the two direct current motors. This paper is concerned with the problem of the fault detection filter design for discrete‐time switched linear systems with average dwell‐time. The designed fault detection filters are also switched systems, which are assumed to be asynchronously switched with the original switched systems. Improved results on the weighted l2 performance and the H ? performance are first given, and the multiple Lyaounov‐like functions during matched period and unmatched period for the running time of one subsystem are used. By the aid of multiple Lyapunov‐like functions combined with Projection Lemma, the FD filters are designed such that the augmented systems under asynchronous switching are exponentially stable, and the residual signal generated by the filters achieves the weighted l2‐gain for disturbances and guarantees the H ? performance for faults. Sufficient conditions are formulated by linear matrix inequalities, and the filter gains are characterized in terms of the solution of a convex optimization problem. The issue of exponential stability analysis of continuous‐time switched singular systems consisting of a family of stable and unstable subsystems with time‐varying delay is investigated in this paper. It is very difficult to analyze the stability of such systems because of the existence of time‐delay and unstable subsystems. In this regard, on the basis of the free‐weighting matrix approach, by constructing the new Lyapunov‐like Krasovskii functional, and using the average dwell‐time approach, delay‐dependent sufficient conditions are derived and formulated in terms of LMIs to check the exponential stability of such systems. This paper also highlights the relationship between the average dwell‐time of the switched singular time‐delay system, its stability, exponential convergence rate of differential states, and algebraic states. In this paper, the control synthesis problem for a class of large‐scale systems with multi‐modes that are called large‐scale switched systems is addressed. By introducing the concept of decentralized switching signal and the relevant decentralized average dwell time, the asymptotic stability and weighted ?2 gain performance are investigated. It should be noted that the decentralized switching covers general switching cases for large‐scale switched systems, namely, it admits both time‐dependent switching signal and arbitrary switching signal blended in the decentralized switching. Then, on the basis of the analysis results, the decentralized weighted control scheme including state feedback controller gains and switching signals is studied. Several design algorithms are proposed to meet different controller design problems. Finally, numerical examples are provided to illustrate theoretical findings within this paper. In this paper, a generalized robust H ∞ filtering method is proposed for a class of singular Markovian jump systems, whose generality is mainly embodied that the desired filter could bear perturbances in terms of uncertainties on its parameter matrices. Firstly, an LMI condition of robust mode‐dependent filter is developed. Based on the given result, a new approach to mode‐independent H ∞ filter is presented, which establishes a direct connection between mode‐dependent and mode‐independent filters. Secondly, when the transition rate matrix is with elementwise bounded uncertainties or partially unknown, sufficient conditions of such robust mode‐dependent and mode‐independent filters are all developed within LMI frameworks.
