Olefins polymerization on titania and titania-supported rhodium

The adsorption of ethene and propene on titania and titania-supported rhodium has been studied, observing a continuous adsorption even after 24 h. The samples have been reduced at 623 or 773 K, but no difference was observed, whichever the reduction temperature or the presence of rhodium, on the amount of gas adsorbed per unit of surface area of the solid. A study of the polymerization has been done following the equal reactivity hypothesis, and it has been concluded that the role played by the rhodium particles is to facilitate adsorption of the gaseous molecule, that is then transfered to the surface of the support, where it polymerizes.     

IR study of the interaction of hydroxyl groups of silica gel with Cr species of Phillips' type catalysts

Spectroscopic evidence for the interaction of hydroxyl groups and chromium ions was obtained using a catalyst prepared from chromyl chloride. A new OH peak, observed at 3705 cm^–1 after pumping away CO gas, is attributed to the direct interaction of OH with the low-valent chromium. This peak shifts to 3590 cm^–1 on contact with O₂ at room temperature and it is assigned to a hydroxyl interacting with the oxidized chromium. New assignments are also proposed for IR bands of CO presorbed on the catalyst. The peak due to CO at 2188 cm^–1 decreases as the OH intensity at 3705 cm^–1 increases, suggesting that the former peak arises from adsorption on Cr(II) species to which two oxygen atoms are attached.

The Polymerization of Metal-Containing Vinylic Monomers of Iron and Tungsten with Metal–Carbon σ Bonds

A series of metal-containing vinylic monomers of the type and was homopolymerized using 2,2-azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN) as the free-radical initiator. These monomers were also copolymerized with styrene in the presence of AIBN. These compounds represent a class of organometallic polymers in which the metal is bonded to the polymer backbone via a metal–carbon bond. The new compounds were characterized by IR and ¹H NMR spectroscopy as well as scanning electron microscopy, gel permeation chromatography, and thermoanalytical studies (DSC and TGA). The properties of the new organometallic polymers are discussed.     

邻仲丁基4,6-二硝基苯酚(DNBP)对苯乙烯热聚合阻聚行为研究

用折光指数法考察了90~120℃下邻仲丁基4,6-二硝基苯酚(DNBP)对苯乙烯热聚合的阻聚效果,并从温度和质量浓度(0.02%~1%)两个方面进行研究。实验结果表明,随着温度的升高,阻聚效果逐渐变弱;随着阻聚剂浓度的增加,阻聚效果逐渐变强;温度对于阻聚过程的影响要强于浓度对其的影响;温度为120℃,DNBP浓度超过0.1%时,可以产生表面意义上的诱导期。     

聚丙烯酸锂的合成与性能

研制了一种新型阳离子导电聚合物—聚丙烯酸锂 (PAALi) ,分子量在 2 0 ,0 0 0～4 0 0 ,0 0 0范围内 ,室温离子电导率为 10 - 8～ 10 - 9S·cm- 1;研究了聚合条件对产率的影响 ;探讨了分子量、锂离子含量、温度对其离子导电率的影响。     

路易氏碱在阴离子聚合领域中的应用 Ⅱ.活化作用

路易氏碱在阴离子聚合领域中用途十分广泛，其重要性有待进一步认识。本文仅介绍它对活性种（包括引发剂和活性聚合链末端）的活化作用。     

Polymerization of diisopropyl fumarate under microwave irradiation

Diisopropyl fumarate (DiPF), a representative monomer of dialkyl fumarates, was polymerized by microwave irradiation at three different powers (140, 210, and 280 W), using a domestic microwave oven. The nature and concentration of initiators [2,2′‐azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN) and benzoyl peroxide (BP)], power and energy of microwave irradiation on the conversion, weight average molecular weight (M_w), and polydispersity index (M_w/M_n) were analyzed. The results indicate that the microwave conditions have a significant nonthermal effect in enhancing the polymerization rate of DiPF. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Preparation and thermal property of hybrid nanocomposites by free radical copolymerization of styrene with octavinyl polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane

The poly(styrene‐co‐octavinyl‐polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane) (PS–POSS) organic–inorganic hybrid nanocomposites containing various percent of POSS were prepared via one‐step free radical polymerization and characterized by FTIR, high‐resolution ¹H NMR, ²⁹Si NMR, GPC, DSC, and TGA technologies. The POSS contents in these nanocomposites were determined using FTIR calibration curve. The result shows that the POSS contents in nanocomposites can be tailored by varying the POSS feed ratios. On the basis of the POSS contents in the nanocomposites and the ¹H NMR spectra, the number of reacted vinyl groups of each octavinyl‐POSS macromonomer were calculated to be 6–8. DSC and TGA measurements indicate that the incorporation of POSS into PS homopolymer can apparently improve the thermal properties of the polymeric materials. The dramatic T_g and T_dec increases are mainly due to the formation of star and low cross‐linking structure of the nanocomposites, where POSS cores behave as the joint points and hinder the motion and degradation of the polymeric chains. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 通过细乳液聚合方法制备自交联型有机硅乳液

苯乙烯与甲基丙烯酸-3-三甲氧基硅丙酯(M PS)经细乳液聚合,制得了稳定的自交联型的水分散涂料,用透射电子显微镜(TEM)、动态光散射仪(DLS)和红外光谱(IR)表征了乳胶粒的形态和结构。发现与传统乳液聚合相比,细乳液聚合法可显著提高乳液的稳定性,且M PS加入量的增加会导致乳液稳定性降低。
