We analyze the wear resistance of plasma coatings for a constant work of friction. The dependences of the wear resistance of the coatings are obtained for a broad range of loading conditions. It is shown that the minimum sensitivity to loading conditions is exhibited by the molybdenum coatings. It is also established that the wear resistance of the coatings decreases as the amplitude of displacements increases and the cyclic frequency of the tests decreases due to the intensification of fatigue processes on the surfaces. Morphology of carbon black (CB)‐filled rubber was studied with AFM and SEM and the classification of filler agglomerates, based on their internal structure and filler–matrix interactions, has been proposed. It varies according to the activity of CB and the kind of rubber. It has been shown that fracture of rubber starts either inside filler agglomerates (de‐cohesion) or in a filler–matrix interphase (de‐adhesion) initiating wear of the material. Microscopic observations correlate well with TGA and EPR data of wear debris collected during friction of rubber. The increase of thermal stability of CB and the appearance of additional spin signals, respectively, for elongated samples or debris, are proposed to be associated with de‐cohesion or de‐adhesion of the agglomerates. The performance of conventional tools is poor when used to machine titanium alloys. In this paper, a new tool material, which is binderless cubic boron nitride (BCBN), is used for high-speed milling of a widely used titanium alloy Ti–6Al–4V. The performance and the wear mechanism of the BCBN tool have been investigated when slot milling the titanium alloy in terms of cutting forces, tool life and wear mechanism. This type of tool manifests longer tool life at high cutting speeds. Observations based on the SEM and EDX suggest that adhesion of workpiece and attrition are the main wear mechanisms of the BCBN tool when used in high-speed milling of Ti–6Al–4V.  相似文献

Results of performance, emission and tribological evaluations of palm oil methyl ester and its blends with conventional diesel in an automobile diesel engine test bed are presented. Polymerization and carbon deposits on the fuel injector were monitored. CO, CO2, O2, combustion efficiency and temperature of exhaust gases were also measured. Palm oil methyl ester and its blends have great potential as alternative diesel fuel. Performance and exhaust gas emission for palm oil methyl ester and its blends with conventional diesel are comparable with those of conventional diesel fuel. Palm oil methyl ester does not pose a severe environmental problem and will not deteriorate engine and bearing components.  相似文献

Given that fretting wear causes failure in steel wires, we carried out tangential fretting wear tests of steel wires on a self-made fretting wear test rig under contact loads of 9 and 29 N and fretting amplitudes ranging from 5 to 180 μm. We observed morphologies of fretted steel wire surfaces on an S-3000N scanning electron microscope in order to analyze fretting wear mecha-nisms. The results show that the fretting regime of steel wires transforms from partial slip regime into mixed fretting regime and gross slip regime with an increase in fretting amplitudes under a given contact load. In partial slip regime, the friction coefficient has a relatively low value. Four stages can be defined in mixed fretting and gross slip regimes. The fretting wear of steel wires in-creases obviously with increases in fretting amplitudes. Fretting scars present a typical morphology of annularity, showing slight damage in partial slip regime. However, wear clearly increases in mixed fretting regime where wear mechanism is a combination of plastic deformation, abrasive wear and oxidative wear. In gross slip regime, more severe degradation is present than in the other regimes. The main fretting wear mechanisms of steel wires are abrasive wear, surface fatigue and friction oxidation.  相似文献

为了提高定期维修的刀具所加工的产品质量,减少停机时间和生产成本.考虑生产过程中工件尺寸的残差是时间的函数,利用Glejser检验方法,拟合工件尺寸残差符合的递增型异方差模型,提出了刀具磨损过程的过程能力指数计算方法;使用Bernstein概率密度函数描述刀具寿命和刀具磨损过程的一般特征,在每一个维修周期内均满足顾客要求的最小过程能力指数基础上,考虑质量损失、换刀成本、由刀具的突然失效引发的惩罚成本及维修刀具所需的成本,将过程能力与成本相结合,提出了用于确定最佳刀具初始状态和维修周期的模型.该模型为实际生产提供了一种离线的刀具管理方法.  相似文献

To evaluate the wear condition of machines accurately,oil spectrographic entropy,mutual information and ICA analysis methods based on information theory are presented. A full-scale diagnosis utilizing all channels of spectrographic analysis can be obtained. By measuring the complexity and correlativity,the characteristics of wear condition of machines can be shown clearly. The diagnostic quality is improved. The analysis processes of these monitoring methods are given through the explanation of examples. The availability of these methods is validated and further research fields are demonstrated.  相似文献

采用原位聚合方法制备了定向碳纳米管/聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯复合材料,并且研究了该复合物的耐磨损性.对定向碳纳米管及其复合物进行了傅立叶红外吸收光谱分析、扫描电镜及光学显微镜观察.采用砝码质量法评价了复合物的耐磨损性.分析结果表明,混酸处理后定向碳纳米管附带了-OH、-COOH基等极性基团.混酸处理后定向碳纳米管束状结构被破坏,定向碳纳米管可以单管形态分散于基体中,碳纳米管表面包覆着PMMA.砝码质量法耐磨损性测试结果表明,定向碳纳米管的加入可提高PMMA复合物的耐磨损性和耐划痕性,当定向碳纳米管用量为0.7%时,复合物的耐磨损性能提升了54%.  相似文献
