A new method of prefetching data blocks from the NVCache to the page cache in main memory and cascading prefetching n-blocks from a hard disk to the NVCache together was proposed to reduce the spin-up frequency of a hybrid hard disk drive
and thus enhance I/O performance. The proposed method consists of three steps: 1) Analyzing the pattern of read requests in
block units; 2) Determining the number of blocks prefetched to the NVCache; 3) Replacing blocks in the NVCache according to
the block replacement policy. The proposed method can reduce the latency time of a hybrid hard disk and optimize the power
consumption of an IPTV set-top box. Experimental results show that the proposed method provides better average response time
compared to an existing adaptive multistream prefetching (AMP) method by 25.17%. It also reduces by 20.83% the average power

The influence of HAF carbon black and BaTiO3 ceramic powder contents in SBR vulcanizates on the dielectric constant (ε′) at different frequencies and at fixed temperature of 303 K is studied well in this article. The temperature dependence of the ac conductivity (σac) was also studied. ε′ appreciably decreases as frequency increased for both filled and unfilled SBR vulcanizates. At each frequency, ε′ gradually decreased with BaTiO3 loading, but its change at any fixed frequency with BaTiO3 filler loading is not uniform. For HAF group ε′ (at loading ≥ 40 phr), drops rapidly with frequency. Meanwhile, it increased appreciably beyond a certain HAF filler loading (≈ 20 phr). Experimental values of the dielectric constant of both BaTiO3 and HAF contents were compared with those calculated by using Tsangaris, Clausius and Bruggman models. Tsangaris model with simple modifications was applied and a fairly good agreement was obtained. The HAF particles or aggregates was found to take the shape of oblate ellipsoids with the minor axes parallel to the applied frequency as detected from the decreasing behavior of the depolarizing factor (Y) with HAF contents. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ABSTRACT: Chemical, physical, and sensory characteristics of low-fat beef patties containing carbohydrate-lipid composites (CLCs) were compared with those of all-beef patties. The CLC gels contained high-amylose cornstarch, maltodextrins, and canola oil. CLC patties had higher moisture, cooking yield, and fat retention than 20%-fat control patties. CLCs improved tenderness and juiciness and decreased cohesiveness of low-fat beef patties compared with 10%-fat control patties. Despite differences in CLC gel firmness, patties made with CLC gels containing corn, potato, and tapioca maltodextrins had similar physical and sensory properties. These results suggest that CLC gels perform well as a partial fat replacer in beef patties while providing flexibility in gel firmness selection. 相似文献

Super low VOC due to new composition/reaction mechanism can minimize the environmental risk as it does not contain lead and tin, hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) and endocrine disrupters (EPA/67 items, SPEED’98/JEA/67 items) currently specified as contaminants. New EAD (electrolyzed activate deposition paint) is not the only conventional cure agent or solvent, but also the super low VOC, HAPs materials and endocrine disrupters. The electric energy used by EAD is utilized for the reaction but not for the deposition. EAD consists of two technologies. One is propargyl group change to the allene by using electrodeposition. Propargyl group is stable, but allene group is highly polymerizing. As a result, EAD had high bath stability. The other is sulfonium change to sulfide by using electrodeposition. This sulfonium salt is lost as a result of the electrolytic reduction, and hence can be irreversibly rendered non-conductive. As a result, EAD showed high throwing power. 相似文献
