Synthesis, characteristics and oxygen-sensitive properties of SrMgxTi 1 − xO3 nanocrystals

SrMg_xTi_{1 - x}O₃ nanocrystals (x = 0.1–0.6) were synthesized by the stearic acid gel method. Powder samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction and X-ray photoelectron (XP) spectroscopy. The results showed that the lattice parameter a and the O 1s XP spectrum changed not only with the Mg content x but also with the grain size d of the samples. The conductivity of a thick film specimen fabricated on an aluminium oxide wafer was investigated in a nitrogen—oxygen atmosphere.     

MITOCHONDRIAL RELEVANCE TO YEAST FERMENTATIVE PERFORMANCE: A REVIEW

It is well known that dissolved oxygen fulfils critical roles in brewing yeast physiology and overall fermentative performance. The major and minor roles that have been identified are briefly discussed and another role, that of providing for minimal mitochondrial development and functionality, is suggested. The long accepted theory that mitochondria are irrelevant to fermentative performance is reviewed as to its basis and the evidence in support of it. However, minimal mitochondrial development is required to provide the cell with critical metabolic intermediates and components. These are identified and reviewed and finally, evidence is presented that mitochondria are critical to brewing yeast fermentative performance. The review concludes that when assessing the role of mitochondria, concern should be broader than simply for the energetic function of these organelles.     

交联剂在碳／碳复合材料沥青基体中的作用

本文从C/C复合合材料的基体入手，分析了交联剂在沥青中的交联机理，并以此为基础对中温煤沥青在催化剂作用下进行交联反应。结果表明，交联剂在C/C复合材料基体中的交联作用非常明显，不仅基体本身的残碳率及耐热程度有很大提高，而且，以它制成的C/C复合材料的抗压强度也有显著增加。     

国内外改质沥青生产的现状及其发展

煤焦油沥青是炼铝及碳素工业的重要原料之一，它地质量如何直接影响到制品的技术经济指标。近年来，随着科学技术的发展，煤焦油沥青重整改质技术引起重视。目前已有许多国家已生产出改质沥青来满足制取电炉炼钢超高功率电极以及制品铝电解板的要求证同国内对此也开始进行研制工作。介绍了国内外改质沥青生产的现状及发展，并提出了参考建议。     

SBS APP复合改性沥青的研究

采用SBS、APP复合改性渣油,可以得到性能优良的改性沥青材料。其最佳配料和共混工艺条件为:SBS/(SBS+APP)之比0.4、外掺量20%、转速1930rPm、共混时间1.0 hr,共混温度20℃。     

新型难燃输送带胶粘剂的研制

以改性氯丁橡胶为主料、多异氰酸酯为固化剂制成的新型难燃输送带胶粘剂,具有粘接强度高、耐热性好、干燥时间短、难燃等特点,在常温常压下粘接输送带接头,固化30min即可负荷运行。     

Highly active lanthanum doped nickel anode for solid oxide fuel cells directly fuelled with methane

Lanthanum doped nickel and YSZ composite anode (LaNi–YSZ) exhibited a greatly reduced polarization resistance and high performance for electrochemical oxidation of hydrogen and methane, which resulted from a fine anode structure with a high dispersion of nickel catalyst and a high catalytic activity towards methane.     

An improved enzymic method for the determination of native and modified starch

An improved method for the determination of starch by sequential hydrolysis with thermostable bacterial α-amylase and fungal amyloglucosidase is described. Glucose was determined colorimetrically by a glucose oxidase-peroxidase-chromogen system at pH 7. Native normal and waxy starches, and distarch phosphate, gave quantitative yields of glucose with a high degree of precision (coefficient of variation less than 1%). Acetylated distarch phosphate, high-amylose starch and retrograded amylose were initially treated with 1M NaOH for 30 min, then neutralised and analysed successfully as normal starch. Oxidised starch did not give a quantitative yield of glucose because of the presence of dicarboxylic groups in the polymer. For samples containing normal and waxy starch the analysis was carried out in about 4 h. The method was applied to a range of starch-containing foodstuffs and the results are reported.     

大型预焙铝电解槽使用碳化硅砖与普通碳砖复合块的探讨

碳化硅砖和碳化硅砖与普通碳砖复合侧块，在上世纪末期我国铝电解槽上开始推广应用。使用后各厂家普遍发现碳化硅砖及碳化硅砖与普通碳块复合侧块均出现不同程度的断裂、上抬和脱落现象，该文对断裂、上抬和脱落原因进行了分析，并提出了改进措施。     

Assignment of most genes encoding major peroxisomal polypeptides to chromosomal band V of the asporogenic yeast Candida tropicalis

The peroxisomes of the asporogenic yeast Candida tropicalis contain about 20 major polypeptides (PXPs). We have isolated a number of genes encoding them; 11 POX genes encoded independent PXPs and three POY genes were likely to encode three other PXPs. To locate these genes on the chromosomes, chromosomes of C. tropicalis were separated by pulsed-field gel electrophoresis. Eight chromosomal bands were observed over the range of 1.0 Mbp (band 1) to 2.8 Mbp (band VIII); the genome size was estimated to be about 20 Mbp. Southern blot analysis showed that ten genes were on band V, three genes were on band IV, and the other gene was on band VI. Three genes gave hybridization signals of nearly equal intensity on two different chromosomal bands: POX6A and POX8B, on bands V and VII; and POX8A, on bands IV and VI. Ribosomal RNA genes also hybridized to two bands, VI and VII. Most genes assigned to only one band hybridized to two restriction fragments produced by either NotI or SfiI endonuclease. The results suggested that C. tropicalis was diploid and that restriction sites were conserved little between homologues. The three POX genes that were found on two chromosomal bands hybridized to not more than two restriction fragments, implying that the allelic genes were present on different chromosomal bands.
