Highly efficient orange and green emission from single‐layered solid‐state light‐emitting electrochemical cells based on cationic transition‐metal complexes [Ir(ppy)2sb]PF6 and [Ir(dFppy)2sb]PF6 (where ppy is 2‐phenylpyridine, dFppy is 2‐(2,4‐difluorophenyl)pyridine, and sb is 4,5‐diaza‐9,9′‐spirobifluorene) is reported. Photoluminescence measurements show highly retained quantum yields for [Ir(ppy)2sb]PF6 and [Ir(dFppy)2 sb]PF6 in neat films (compared with quantum yields of these complexes dispersed in m‐bis(N‐carbazolyl)benzene films). The spiroconfigured sb ligands effectively enhance the steric hindrance of the complexes and reduce the self‐quenching effect. The devices that use single‐layered neat films of [Ir(ppy)2sb]PF6 and [Ir(dFppy)2sb]PF6 achieve high peak external quantum efficiencies and power efficiencies of 7.1 % and 22.6 lm W–1) at 2.5 V, and 7.1 % and 26.2 lm W–1 at 2.8 V, respectively. These efficiencies are among the highest reported for solid‐state light‐emitting electrochemical cells, and indicate that cationic transition‐metal complexes containing ligands with good steric hindrance are excellent candidates for highly efficient solid‐state electrochemical cells. 相似文献

Immunocytochemistry was used to investigate the localization of F1 ATPase in mitochondria of cryosections of adult mouse heart muscle cells. The initial aldehyde fixation was the only denaturation step for antigens. The fine structure was preserved with contrast enhancement as the sections were maintained hydrated, with the advantage that the entire procedure is completed in one working day. The reaction was highly specific, and entire mitochondria were labeled with the Protein A-gold complex. A new analytical technique, electron spectroscopic imaging (ESI), contributed to a better visualization of the localization of the F1 factor. 相似文献

Poly(ethylene aspartate) [PEA] was synthesized by the melt condensation of D,L-aspartic acid and ethylene glycol. PEA containing pendent amino and carbonyl groups in its repeating chain was used as the polymeric ligand for complexation with transition metal ions, viz. Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Mn(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Ca(II), Mg(II), Pb(II) and Hg(II). Complexation was found to be most effective in DMSO. The resulting polyester-metal complexes were solid coloured materials which have been characterized by IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The thermal stability of the polyester-metal complexes was investigated by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The role of adhesion promoters, copper oxidation, and thermal aging in the adhesion mechanism of enamel on copper winding wires is investigated. Evidence is presented on the predominant role of the copper oxide at the interface in the wire–enamel adhesion phenomena. The oxidation process and the copper oxides stability at the interface are seen to strongly depend upon the thermal aging of the wire and the nature of both the enamel and the promoter. Atomic force and scanning electron microscopy analyses show that so‐called promoters act more efficiently as corrosion inhibitors than as adhesion enhancers. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The results from DSC and thermogravimetric analysis of gels produced from a mixture of tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) and octyltriethoxysilane
(OtEOS) both with and without immobilized Ru(II) tris(4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline) dichloride as well as DSC and TG data for films deposited by deep-or spin-coating from
the same gels, are reported. The initial products are characterized by elemental analysis, IR, solid state NMR and mass spectroscopy.
Elemental analysis and IR spectroscopy are applied for identification of some of the intermediates obtained after heating
at different temperatures. The final products are characterized by X-ray diffractometry. A hypothesis for the thermodecomposition
processes taking place is proposed. The results reported contribute to elucidation of the properties as well as the temperature

Using the batch method, the retention of Ga(III) from HCl solutions by two gel‐type pyridine strong‐base anion exchangers containing 1‐methyl‐ or 1‐butyl‐4‐vinylpyridinium chloride structural units, called S1 and S2 resins, respectively, was studied. The influence of the HCl and Ga(III) concentrations as well as of the contact time between the resin and the liquid phase was investigated. The parameters, which characterize the retention process, were estimated using Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms. Both resins exhibited a higher affinity for gallium ions from a 6M HCl solution. According to Langmuir isotherms, maximum retention capacities of 44.44 and 60 mg Ga(III)/g dry resin for the S1 and S2 resins, respectively, were obtained. Freundlich isotherms provide additional proof for a higher affinity of the S2 resin for Ga(III) from HCl solutions. It is clear that the substituent length increase on N+ atoms led to an increasing affinity of the pyridine strong base anion exchangers toward Ga(III). © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
