Dynamic mechanical properties of three polycarbonates, of polystyrene and of a blend and a copolymer of polystyrene with one polycarbonate have been investigated. While the properties of the blend were found to be a simple combination of those of the constituent homopolymers, modified α-relaxation behaviour was found for the polystyrene chains in the copolymer. The modifications, dependent on the casting solvent and thermal treatments used in sample preparation, were found to correspond to enhancement of the segmental motions in polystyrene chains, in spite of their attachment to more rigid polycarbonate. The modifications have been attributed to incorporation of excess free volumé during solvent casting. A mechanism is proposed which correlates the excess free-volume fractions with the solubility parameters of the casting solvents.  相似文献

Lithium-ion batteries are important for energy storage in a wide variety of applications including consumer electronics, transportation and large-scale energy production. The performance of lithium-ion batteries depends on the materials used. One critical component is the electrolyte, which is the focus of this paper. In particular, inorganic ceramic and organic polymer solid-electrolyte materials are reviewed. Solid electrolytes provide advantages in terms of simplicity of design and operational safety, but typically have conductivities that are lower than those of organic liquid electrolytes. This paper provides a comparison of the conductivities of solid-electrolyte materials being used or developed for use in lithium-ion batteries.  相似文献

The potential use of the liquid product obtained from the pyrolysis of polystyrene as a raw material for the reproduction of the polymer was investigated in this study. Catalytic and non‐catalytic pyrolysis experiments were carried out in a fixed bed reactor using either model polymer or commercial waste products as the feedstock. The liquid fraction produced from all the pyrolysis experiments consisted mainly of the styrene monomer and this was subjected to re‐polymerization without any further purification, in a DSC with AIBN initiator. It was found that the pyrolysis oil fraction could be re‐polymerized to again produce polymer. However, aromatic compounds included in this fraction may act as chain transfer agents, resulting in alterations in the shape of the reaction rate curve and lowering significantly the average molecular weight and the Tg of the polymer produced.

利用通过种子乳液的方法制备的粒径为1100nm的二氧化硅胶体晶为模板,采用配位聚合方式制备了孔径为1000nm的三维有序大孔间规聚苯乙烯材料,进而对其进行了氯甲基孔壁功能化.利用核磁共振、红外光谱、扫描电镜对产物进行了表征分析,结果表明间规结构的聚苯乙烯骨架结构表面引入了氯甲基基团,并且氯甲基化以后依然保持了原有大孔材料孔径均一、结构有序的特点.采用热重-滴定分析测定了相对氯含量为2.3mmol/g.  相似文献

This work successfully developed an energy-saving glass with wavelength selectivity. The glass is composed of a SiO2 substrate and two layers of three-dimensional photonic crystals. Each crystal is composed of identical and transparent polystyrene spheres after their self-assembling. The glass then possesses dual photonic band gaps in the near-infrared region to suppress penetration of thermal radiation. Experimental results show that the energy-saving glass decreases temperature increment in a mini-house. Moreover, the temperature after thermal equilibrium is lower than that inside a counterpart using ordinary glass.  相似文献

A reliable prediction of migration levels of plastic additives into food requires a robust estimation of diffusivity. Predictive modelling of diffusivity as recommended by the EU commission is carried out using a semi-empirical equation that relies on two polymer-dependent parameters. These parameters were determined for the polymers most used by packaging industry (LLDPE, HDPE, PP, PET, PS, HIPS) from the diffusivity data available at that time. In the specific case of general purpose polystyrene, the diffusivity data published since then shows that the use of the equation with the original parameters results in systematic underestimation of diffusivity. The goal of this study was therefore, to propose an update of the aforementioned parameters for PS on the basis of up to date diffusivity data, so the equation can be used for a reasoned overestimation of diffusivity.  相似文献
