Reciprocal influences between parents' marital problems and adolescent internalizing and externalizing behavior.

The present study examines reciprocal associations between marital functioning and adolescent maladjustment using cross-lagged autoregressive models. The research involved 451 early adolescents and their families and used a prospective, longitudinal research design with multi-informant methods. Results indicate that parental conflicts over child rearing predicted adolescent depressive symptoms and delinquency. In turn, these adolescent problems exacerbated parental conflicts over child rearing. Furthermore, conflict over child rearing served as the nexus through which more generalized marital dissatisfaction and adolescent adjustment problems were reciprocally interrelated. This research replicates earlier observations that marital problems intensify adolescent maladjustment and extends the literature by demonstrating that adolescent problems also predict marital conflict and ultimately marital dissatisfaction. In sum, the present study demonstrates that marital dissatisfaction, conflict over child rearing, and early adolescent adjustment difficulties are interwoven in a dynamic family system marked by reciprocity along these dimensions. In this paper we develop an algorithm in the framework of neural networks. Specifically we consider the problem of detecting a subset of elements of a set Ω which possess a given property.

洪家渡水电站施工地质问题综述

洪家渡水电站坝址位于深切峡谷地区，岩性以强可溶岩为主，地质构造、岩溶水文地质条件均较复杂，且在地面厂房下游右岸发育有1号、2号大型塌滑堆积体，并处在泄洪消能防冲区内。在施工过程中，对工程影响较大的主要工程地质问题有岩溶稳定、岩溶涌水及塌滑堆积体稳定等。为此，施工地质人员在熟悉前勘察资料的同时加强了现场巡视，掌握了基础开挖地质情况，并及时预报可能出现的不良地质问题及根据设计意图提出正确的地质处理建议，从而使上述的不良地质问题均得到了快速、妥善的处理，为工程的顺利、如期竣工打下了坚实的基础。     

On numerically decipherable codes and their homophonic partitions

We investigate the homophonic partitions of numerically decipherable (ND) codes in relationship with the notion of multivalued encodings. Moreover, we present a new class of codes, the class of homophonically decipherable (HD) codes, studying their Kraft-McMillan sum.     

Aggressive behavior among Israeli elementary school students and associated emotional/behavioral problems and self-control.

This study aimed to identify aggression patterns among students, compare teachers' and students' reports on aggressiveness, and examine whether emotional and behavioral problems and self-control intercorrelate with aggression and can explain it among students. The study investigated 363 students aged 8 to 11 years and their 12 homeroom teachers in two elementary schools in central Israel. As expected, students reported higher verbal aggression than physical without gender differences in the general tendency. Also, students reported a higher rate of others' aggression toward them than their own aggression toward others. Similarities emerged between students' and teachers' reports. Four types of students were classified: the aggressive initiator (proactive), the aggressive responder (reactive), the passive victim, and a neutral type. An important outcome was the significant negative association of aggressiveness with self-control. Students with higher rates of self-control skills presented lower rates of aggressive behavior. 应用罚函数原理，将二层线性优化问题转化为目标函数带有罚函数子项的非线性优化问题，当罚系数大于某一数值时，库函数项为一精确项，该非线性优化问题用渐的进外逼近算法可求出其全局最优解。
