The irreversibly bound interfacial layer deposited by the γ-aminopropysilanetriol adhesion promoter onto a crystalline silicon substrate, which remains even after profuse washing, was found by XPS to have resulted from the fragmentation and rearrangement of the original γ-aminopropylsilanetriol molecule. A mechanism is proposed, involving the homolytic scission of the terminal N-C bond. One of the subsequent reactions is believed to involve hydrogen loss by abstraction and the formation of a terminal vinyl group, which bonds to the substrate. Support for this mechanism is found in IR spectroscopy of this layer.  相似文献

Summary The surface reactivity of poly(methylphenylphosphazene), PMPP, and its derivatives containing silane, PMPP-SiH, and alcohol, PMPP-OH, substituents was investigated. These polymers were fabricated into films by casting from THF solutions and reactions were carried out at the interface between solid film samples and solutions. The surface of PMPP was successfully modified by deprotonation under dilute conditions followed by reactions with RMe2SiCl [where R = CH=CH2, and H]. While surfaces of PMPP-OH were not readily modified, those containing Si-H groups reacted with oxygen when heated and with carbon tetrachloride. The polymer surfaces were examined by contact angle measurements, attenuated total reflectance infrared spectroscopy (ATR-IR), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). 通过液相共沉淀法制备了纳米四氧化三铁溶胶,利用油酸对纳米粒子体进行表面改性和萃取实验,获得油酸包覆的四氧化三铁微粒。采用FT—IR和高分辨透射电镜对改性后的纳米粉体进行结构和形貌的表征。研究结果表明油酸与四氧化三铁纳米粒子间存在化学键结合。油酸对纳米四氧化三铁微粒进行改性,并且对纳米粒子进行包覆,使外表面形成保护层阻止粒子团聚,改性后的四氧化三铁微粒与有机物具有良好的相溶性,采用表面改性显著改善了纳米四氧化三铁微粒的性能指标。  相似文献

Solid‐phase polymerization (SPP) reactors are used to increase the degree of polymerization (DP) during nylon 6,6 production. In previous articles, a reactor model with partial differential equations (PDEs) in time and two spatial dimensions was developed to describe dynamic changes in polymer property profiles (DP, temperature, and moisture content) over the height of the reactor and within the polymer particles. In the current article, a simplified model is developed by deriving appropriate expressions for heat‐ and mass‐transfer coefficients and performing a lumped heat‐ and mass‐transfer analysis. Using this approach, the radial dimension is removed from the PDEs, so that the effort required to solve the model equations is substantially reduced. Predictions of the complex and simplified models are compared through simulation of two different start‐up processes. Good agreement between simplified and complex models is obtained, indicating that the simplified model can be used in place of the complex model if the polymer properties profiles within individual particles are not of particular concern to the model user. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In the present work tracking phenomena were studied with high‐density polyethylene (HDPE) materials under dc voltage, with NH4Cl and acid rain as contaminants. It was determined that the tracking time of the material depends on the conductivity and flow rate of the contaminant. Furthermore, physicochemical analysis by wide‐angle X‐ray diffraction studies, differential scanning calorimetry, and luminescence spectroscopy was carried out, whereupon it was concluded that the tracking process is a surface‐degradation process. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Biodegradable plastics were produced from sweet potato pulp (SPP) and cationic starch (CS) or chitosan composite (CC) by compression molding and their mechanical properties were tested. A universal testing machine, Rockwell hardness tester, and Izod impact tester were used for testing the mechanical properties (flexural strength, Rockwell hardness, and Izod strength) of the plastics. A central composite second‐order design was used to study the effects of temperature, time, and moisture content on the flexural strength, Rockwell hardness, and Izod strength of SPP/CS and SPP/CC blended plastics. The flexural strength, Rockwell hardness, and Izod strength of SPP‐based plastics was 101.1–305.9 kg/cm2, R29.0–R96.7, and 0.6–3.0 kg cm cm?2, respectively. Regression analysis predicted the optimal mechanical properties (flexural strength, Rockwell hardness, and Izod strength) to be attained with a 150–160°C temperature, 15–20‐min reaction time, and 20–23% moisture content. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
