The adsorption characteristics and tribological properties of the perfluoropolyether (PFPE) lubricants Zdol and Z-Tetraol on amorphous nitrogenated CNx carbon are investigated as a function of solvent used to apply the lubricants. The solvents used in these studies include perfluorohexane, CF3CHFCHFCF2CF3 and C4F9OCH3. Deposition studies indicate that the applied thickness of PFPE films is strongly solvent-dependent that can be related to differences in the solubility parameters between the various lubricants and solvents. The results of ab initio computations on the molecular electronic structure of the solvent molecules show that their solvent power is correlated to their polarity and in particular to the acidity of the protons on the CF3CHFCHFCF2CF3 and C4F9OCH3 molecules. Tribological reliability, as measured by contact start-stop testing, slider-disk clearance, lubricant pickup by the slider, lubricant smearing on the disk surface, etc., is independent of solvent and is limited to the physical properties of the adsorbed lubricant film. The kinetics of lubricant mobility are charateristic of confined liquids that are independent of solvent as shown by lubricant flow profiles, bonding kinetics, and contact angle goniometry. 相似文献

运用分子动力学模拟方法研究纳米氧化锌改善丁腈橡胶摩擦学行为的微观机制,考察纳米氧化锌增强丁腈橡胶的原子运动速度、剪切动力学与摩擦因数。结果表明:在剪切条件下,纳米氧化锌增强丁腈橡胶分子链段沿剪切方向分布完整连续,纳米氧化锌的存在提高了丁腈橡胶分子链的刚性;纳米氧化锌增强丁腈橡胶上下摩擦界面的原子运动速度峰值分别比纯丁腈橡胶材料的低11.8%与37.1%,说明纳米氧化锌的存在限制了胶料摩擦表面原子的热力学运动,减小了胶料摩擦剪切变形的程度;与纯丁腈橡胶材料相比,纳米氧化锌增强丁腈橡胶具有更低的摩擦因数,纳米氧化锌的存在增强了橡胶分子链的结合力,提高了胶料抵御剪切变形的能力,改善了胶料的摩擦学性能。 相似文献

目的 研究石墨烯(Gr)含量对镍基熔覆层组织和性能的影响,通过分析Gr含量对复合熔覆层的影响规律来确定Gr的最佳添加含量,同时进行横向、纵向等2个方向上的摩擦磨损测试,以分析扫描方向对摩擦磨损性能的影响。方法 采用预置粉末法制备石墨烯/镍基(Gr/Ni60)合金熔覆层,并针对Gr的质量分数分别为0%、0.3%、0.5%、0.8%、1%的复合涂层进行物相检测、微观组织、显微硬度、摩擦性能等方面的分析。结果 Gr的加入没有引起镍基熔覆层相组成的变化,主要组成相为γ?Ni、Cr7C3、Cr23C6。随着Gr含量的增加,复合涂层晶粒尺寸逐渐减小,晶粒明显细化,显微硬度由623.12HV逐步提升到828.65HV,横向磨损平均摩擦因数从0.65降至0.48,磨损率从7.5×10?5mm3/(N.m)降至3.6×10?5mm3/(N.m)。纵向磨损平均摩擦因数从0.70降至0.58,磨损率从5.7×10?5 mm3/(N.m)降至4.5×10?5 mm3/(N.m)。当Gr的质量分数为1%时复合涂层的晶粒尺寸与Gr的质量分数为0.8%时相比有所增加,且硬度和摩擦性能略有下降。当Gr的质量分数为0.8%时,复合涂层具有更好的晶粒结构、显微硬度和耐磨性,且横向摩擦性能优于纵向摩擦性能。结论 在镍基熔覆层中添加Gr可以起到明显的强化作用,过量添加Gr会使熔覆层的显微硬度和摩擦性能下降,在添加Gr之前熔覆层的磨损机制主要为磨粒磨损,加入Gr之后磨损机制转变为黏着磨损和氧化磨损,并伴随磨粒磨损。 相似文献

聚合物作为摩擦副材料在涉水工程装备上应用前景广阔,然而与金属材料相比,聚合物材料存在强度低、蠕变、老化以及吸水等固有缺陷,并且在低速重载工况下难以形成完整的润滑水膜而导致零部件出现严重的磨损与振动问题,随着涉水工程装备运动副所面临复杂多样的极端环境和苛刻工况,极大地限制了聚合物材料作为摩擦副部件在涉水工程装备领域的应用。分析了聚合物材料在涉水极端环境中的主要摩擦学问题和面临的挑战,并从辐照与等离子体表面改性技术、填料共混复合改性技术、织构化表面调控技术,以及功能化水润滑表面调控技术4个方面,综述目前国内外关于涉水工程装备用聚合物摩擦副材料改性技术的研究进展,最后对涉水工程装备用聚合物摩擦副材料的制备技术和摩擦学研究方向进行总结和展望。 相似文献

Physical models carry quantitative and explainable expert knowledge. However, they have not been introduced into gas face seal diagnosis tasks because of the unacceptable computational cost of inferring the input fault parameters for the observed output or solving the inverse problem of the physical model. The presented work develops a surrogate-model-assisted method for solving the nonlinear inverse problem in limited physical model evaluations. The method prepares a small initial database on sites generated with a Latin hypercube design and then performs an iterative routine that benefits from the rapidity of the surrogate models and the reliability of the physical model. The method is validated on simulated and experimental cases. Results demonstrate that the method can effectively identify the parameters that induce the abnormal signal output with limited physical model evaluations. The presented work provides a quantitative, explainable, and feasible approach for identifying the cause of gas face seal contact. The relationship between friction, wear, and transfer films of three metal carbide-reinforced amorphous carbon coatings (TiC/a:C,
TiC/a:C–H, and WC/a:C–H), sometimes referred to as metal-doped diamond-like carbon coatings, has been investigated. Tribological
tests were performed in an in situ tribometer with sapphire or steel hemispheres run against coated flats in dry or ambient
air. The sliding contact interface was observed and recorded by optical microscopy during reciprocating sliding tests. The
friction and wear behavior during run-in depended on the number of sliding cycles to form a stationary transfer film on the
hemisphere. Stationary transfer films formed rapidly (within ten cycles) and the friction coefficient fell to 0.2 (ambient
air) or 0.1 (dry air), except with sapphire against WC/a:C–H in dry air; with the latter, a stationary transfer film required
nearly 100 cycles to form, during which the friction remained high and the wear rate was from 10 to 100 times higher than
the other two coatings. For all coatings, three velocity accommodation modes (VAM) were observed from run-in to steady-state
sliding and were correlated with the friction and wear behavior. The delayed adherence of the transfer film to sapphire from
WC/a:C–H coatings in dry air is discussed in terms of equilibrium thermochemistry. Friction and wear behavior during run-in,
therefore, depended on transfer film adherence to the hemisphere and the VAM between transfer films and the coating. 相似文献
