CdSe and Bi (1%, 2%, 3%) doped CdSe thin films were deposited on the glass substrates using thermal evaporation technique. Effect of Bi doping on the structural, optical, electrical and photo response properties of CdSe thin films were investigated. The X-ray diffraction studies reveals that undoped and Bi doped CdSe films are polycrystalline in nature with hexagonal crystal structure along (002) direction. No significant changes are observed in the lattice parameters or the grain size indicating minimum lattice distortion. The optical band gap of undoped CdSe film was estimated to be 1.67 eV. Replacement of cadmium by bismuth results in an increase in the electrical conductivity of doped films. Doping with bismuth is found to improve the photo sensitivity of CdSe thin films. 相似文献

In this work, PbS thin films were deposited onto glass substrate at 225 °C by spraying precursor solution prepared with different molar ratio of lead acetate and thiourea as a source of Pb2+ and S2- respectively in order to investigate the effect of Pb:S molar ratio in the precursor solution on the physical properties of PbS thin films. Structural investigations carried out by X-ray diffractometer have shown that all films have fcc cubic structure and the average crystal size increased from 11 nm to 25 nm with the increasing the thiourea ratio in the precursor solution. In order to analyze the surface morphology of PbS thin films, AFM and SEM images were taken and elemental analysis of the films was performed by EDS. Optical transmittance and absorption spectra show that all deposited films have fairly low transmittance and high absorbance in the visible region. Additionally, it was determined that optical band gap of the deposited films were varied between 1.18 eV and 1.37 eV. As a consequence of electrical investigations, it was seen that all films have p-type conductivity and electrical resistivity decreased by increasing thiourea molar ratio in the precursor solution. All examinations have revealed that the molar ratio of lead acetate and thiourea has a significant effect on the physical properties of PbS thin films. 相似文献

The purpose of this study is to fabricate Ti/n-Si/Ag, Ti/n-Si/Cu and Ti/n-Si/AgCu Schottky type diodes and to investigate the effects of aging time on the diode parameters such as ideality factor, barrier height, series resistance, interface state density and rectification ratio. High purity titanium (Ti) metal was deposited on the back side of the n-Si semiconductor and then the Ti/n-Si junction was annealed at 420 °C in nitrogen atmosphere. This junction showed ohmic behavior. To fabricate rectifier contacts, Ag, Cu metals and AgCu alloy have been evaporated on the other polished surface of n-Si with Ti ohmic contact. Ag and Cu ratios in the AgCu alloy which are used in the process of preparing the Schottky contact were taken in equal weights. Thus, Ti/n-Si/Ag, Ti/n-Si/Cu and Ti/n-Si/AgCu Schottky type diodes were prepared under the same conditions. The current-voltage (I-V) characterization of Ti/n-Si/Ag, Ti/n-Si/Cu and Ti/n-Si/AgCu diodes were immediately made at room temperature in dark conditions. To investigate the effect of aging time, the I-V measurements of the diodes have been repeated after 1, 7, 15, 30 and 90 days. Characteristic parameters of the diode were calculated from the I-V measurements which are taken with respect to aging time. The results were compared. From these results, it can clearly be seen that the electrical characteristics of diode which is made from AgCu alloy are more stable than other two diodes. 相似文献

Nanostructured zinc oxide synthesized using an easy and low temperature chemical bath deposition method are among the most promising low cost semiconducting nanostructures investigated for a variety of applications. We successfully report the effects of ammonia solution in the growth of ZnO nanorods at a temperature of 60 °C. Successive addition of ammonia altered the degree of supersaturation of the growth solution, causing a significant deviation in the morphology and crystal orientation of ZnO nanorods. Field emission scanning Electron Microscopy images revealed changes in surface morphology of ZnO nanorods with respect to addition of specific amounts of ammonia. X-ray diffraction analysis revealed wurtzite crystal structure of ZnO which was further supported by X-ray photoelectron studies, optical absorbance and Raman spectra that also revealed the existence of wurtzite ZnO. The current-voltage measurement showed the electrical properties of the synthesized ZnO nanorods. The vertically grown nanorods with flat tops, effect more rectifying Schottky contacts to be realized on comparison to needle like structures. 相似文献

The authors report a method of enhancing the conductivity of TiO2 films by controlling their structural phases. Thin films of Nb:TiO2 (TNO) were prepared on glass and silicon substrates by RF sputtering with varying Nb content at 200 °C. It is shown that fine control over the structural phases of TiO2 is critical for achieving low resistivity. The resistivity values of the films doped with oxygen vacancies and Nb+5 decreased from 3.8 × 10−1 to 4.1 × 10−3 Ω cm when the weight percent of rutile in anatase-rutile phase mixture decreases from 52.8% to 32%. Furthermore, the lowest resistivity value of 2.37 × 10−3 Ω cm was obtained for the doped TiO2 films having single phase anatase structure. The physical processes responsible for the diverse electrical properties are discussed and are associated with the growth conditions. Our result indicates that highly conductive doped-TiO2 film can be obtained by controlling the anatase phase formation via the growth temperature. The obtained results can significantly contribute to the development of transparent electrodes by RF sputtering, a suitable technique for coating large area substrates. 相似文献

In this study, undoped and Ag doped PbS thin films at different concentrations were deposited onto glass substrates at 225 °C by using ultrasonic spray pyrolysis technique, in order to investigate the effect of Ag doping on the physical properties of PbS thin films. Structural investigations revealed that all doped PbS:Ag thin films have cubic structure and Ag doping enhances crystalline level of PbS thin films. It was determined that average crystallite size of PbS:Ag thin films increased from 24 nm to 49 nm by increasing Ag doping concentration. Morphological studies showed that surfaces of the films become denser after Ag doping. Optical transmittance and absorption spectra revealed that all deposited thin films have low transmission and high absorbance within the visible region and band gap energy of the PbS:Ag thin films were determined to be in the range of 1.37 eV and 1.28 eV by means of optical method. Electrical conductivity type of PbS:Ag films was determined to be p-type and calculated electrical resistivity was found to be lowest for Ag-doped PbS thin films at 2%. 相似文献

Gap voltage can be used as an indicator on the direction of the electrode movement along a desired tool path in electrical discharging machining (EDM) processes. However, due to the noise induced by electrical discharges, the estimation of gap voltages is difficult due to the lack of an appropriate state space model. In this paper, gap voltage signals are considered to be generated as a summation of colored noise through a linear filter and measurement noise. Obtained by the Yule–Walker auto-covariance method, the transfer function of the linear filter can be converted into a state space model. The composite process noise and the composite measurement noise are defined to derive the composite noise covariance matrices. A Kalman filter can thus be designed based on the state space model and the noise covariance matrices. Experimental results showed that, as compared with the traditional 10-point moving average filter, the Kalman filter can decrease the average machining time as well as improve the discharging gap status. 相似文献
