ABSTRACTThe melt spinning flow behaviour of a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) blended with a low-density polyethylene (LDPE) was studied using a melt spinning technique in temperature ranging from 160 to 200°C and die extrusion velocity varying from 9 to 36?mm?s?1. The results showed that the melt apparent extension viscosity of the blends was higher than those of the LDPE and HDPE; the melt apparent extension viscosity decreased with increasing temperature; while the melt apparent extension viscosity increased with increasing extension strain rate when the extension strain rate was lower than 0.2?s?1, and then decreased; the melt apparent extension viscosity reached up to a maximum value when extension strain rate was about 0.2?s?1; the relationship between the melt apparent extension viscosity and the LDPE weight fraction did not follow the mixing rule. 相似文献

In this article, a planar entry converging flow during die extrusion of polymeric melts was analyzed and a differential equation of entry converging boundary streamline equation with rheological parameters and channel geometry is established. By applying limit theory, the entry converging boundary streamline equation in the case with different non-Newtonian index (n) was discussed, and the corresponding expressions of entry natural convergent half angle and convergent region length were derived. The entrant flow pattern might be described with the half angle of entry natural convergence (α0) and the convergent region length (L e ) of the melts, and α0 and L e were mainly a function of the entry elastic storage deformation energy (e) and n. The values of α0 and L e were calculated by means of these simplified expressions. It was found that the estimations of α0 decrease nonlinearly white L e increases linearly with an addition of e. Finally, a preliminary verification of the natural converging half angle equation was made. The results showed that the estimations of 2α0 based on the experiments of a low-density-polyethylene (LDPE) and a high-density-polyethylene (HDPE) were close to the data reported in reference. 相似文献

Nd-F species in NdF3-LiF melts were studied using cryoscopic method.Liquidus temperatures of melts of various compositions were determined by differential thermal analysis(DTA).Based on the different model calculations,NdF4- was identified as the most likely Nd-F entity in the melts in which the mole fraction of NdF3 was lower than 20%,considering only one single Nd species in the melt,and which was formed in accordance with Temkin model or Flood model.Then,activities of different components in the melts were researched.The results show that activity of LiF decreases,and that of NdF3 increases with increasing the mole fraction of NdF3.The value of activity coefficient of NdF3 is higher than 1,and that of LiF is lower than 1. 相似文献

Based on the principle of annexation and phase diagrams, the structural units of In-Pb-Sb and In-Bi-Pb melts were determined, and their calculating models of mass action concentrations were formulated. From the analysis of publications, it is concluded that the assumption about the effect of nitrogen bubbles on the film inclusions of aluminum oxide formed during the contact of aluminum melts with air as the ready centers of hydrogen evolution in the form of bubbles from the solution-melt previously put forward by the authors is valid. Based on this notion, the results of many production and laboratory investigations on the relation between the contamination of aluminum melts by oxide inclusions and porosity of cast billets caused by the evolution of hydrogen bubbles is logically explained. This notion is valid for brasses and bronzes, which include aluminum as an alloying component or in the form of impurity. The direct experiments for water containing dissolved air or carbon dioxide vividly demonstrated the effect of the mentioned mechanism. The uselessness of the term “bifilm” to describe double oxide films and the inadmissibility of its use in metallurgical publications in Russian are noted. 相似文献

Systems processed by thermoplastic extrusion can be regarded as heterophase polymer melts of incompatible water-plasticized
biopolymers. In the process of thermoplastic extrusion, proteins and polysaccharides are melted at high pressure and temperature
below the temperature region of their thermal decomposition. Dispersed particles of these systems can be deformed in flow.
The mixed-melt anisotropic structure, formed in flow, is fixed by rapid conversion of the melt jet that lets the extruder
die from a viscous state to a rubber-like state and then to a glassy state caused by cooling and drying. Incompatibility of
proteins and polysaccharides in their water-plasticized melt mixtures impacts on structure formation and texturization during
thermoplastic extrusion.
