Combination of vegetable soup and glucan demonstrates synergistic effects on macrophage-mediated immune responses

Vegetable soup (VS), a plant-based functional food, has been used as a traditional folk medicine and is attracting attention for its ability to enhance the immune response. β-Glucan, a well-established and effective immunomodulator, has synergistic effects when used in combination with some bioactive compounds. In the present study, we aimed to evaluate the synergistic immunomodulatory effects of the combination of VS and β-glucan on macrophage-mediated immune responses. β-Glucan was demonstrated to synergistically enhance the VS-stimulated immune response, including the production of interleukin-6, tumor necrosis factor-α, and nitric oxide, mainly through the mitogen-activated protein kinase pathway in macrophages. Effects of Rare Earths on Toughness of 31Mn2SiRE Wear-Resistance Cast Steel

The toughness of 31Mn2SiRE wear-resistance cast steel were increased by means of RE compound modification and high temperature austenitizing. The results show that the microstructures can be refined, needle and network ferrite are eliminated, the dislocation density and the quantity of dislocated martensite are increased remarkably, and the shape and distribution of inclusions are improved by the addition of RE. Therefore, the mechanical properties of the modified steel can be greatly increased, especially the toughness (αK) by 44%, yield strength (σs) by 10%, and elongation (δ5) by 42%.     

Al2O3陶瓷激光铣削试验研究

采用Nd∶YAG脉冲激光器对Al2 O3陶瓷进行铣削加工试验。系统研究了工艺参数对铣削量和铣削面质量的影响规律 ,并利用优化的铣削工艺对Al2 O3陶瓷进行多种形状的铣削加工。     

CO2激光治疗皮肤基底细胞癌14例临床观察

目的 :探求一种简单 ,安全 ,效果好的基底细胞癌的治疗方法。方法 :对 1 4例基底细胞癌患者在局麻下用CO2 激光行基底细胞癌切除术或切除 +气化术。结果 :患者术中、术后出血少 ,伤口恢复快 ,愈合良好 ,疤痕表浅 ,随访未见复发。结论 :CO2 激光用于治疗基底细胞癌效果良好 ,无明显副作用 ,操作简单值得推广。     

数字化正弦平方脉冲信号

依据正弦平方脉冲的数学方程及其频谱分布，分别导出了与理想和标称视频带宽相对应的正弦平方脉冲的数学表达式及其编程生成方法。实验表明，此法不仅精确，而且便于修改参数，并可直接读人数字电视系统，来测定视频线性响应。     

含氮金刚石结构中Jahn-Teller畸变效应的计算

研究了由J.Bourgoin和M.Lannoo提出的半导体内Jahn-Teller畸变效应的计算理论。应用Bourgoin和Lannoo的方法研究了含中心氮杂质金刚石结构的Jahn-Teller畸变问题,计算了34C+N簇团的T2模耦合沿%111&晶向的Jahn-Teller畸变效应,结果与实验相符。     

Synthesis and characterization of biocompatible hydroxyapatite coated ferrite

Ferrite particles coated with biocompatible phases can be used for hyperthermia treatment of cancer. We have synthesized substituted calcium hexaferrite, which is not stable on its own but is stabilized with small substitution of La. Hexaferrite of chemical composition (CaO)_0.75(La₂0₃)_0.20(Fe₂O₃)₆ was prepared using citrate gel method. Hydroxyapatite was prepared by precipitating it from aqueous solution of Ca(NO₃)₂ and (NH₄)₂HPO₄ maintaining pH above 11. Four different methods were used for coating of hydroxyapatite on ferrite particles. SEM with EDX and X-ray diffraction analysis shows clear evidence of coating of hydroxyapatite on ferrite particles. These coated ferrite particles exhibited coercive field up to 2 kOe, which could be made useful for hysteresis heating in hyperthermia. Studies by culturing BHK-21 cells and WBC over the samples show evidence of biocompatibility. SEM micrographs and cell counts give clear indication of cell growth on the surface of the sample. Finally coated ferrite particle was implanted in Kasaulli mouse to test its biocompatibility. The magnetic properties and biocompatibility studies show that these hydroxyapatite coated ferrites could be useful for hyperthermia.     

Ni-Al2O3纳米复合电镀工艺的初步研究

初步研究了复合电镀各工艺条件：电流密度、镀液pH值和温度以及搅拌方式对Al2O3纳米微粒在镍基复合镀层中含量的影响。研究表明：电流密度增大不利于提高镀层中纳米微粒的含量；pH值增大也明显使复合量降低;镀液温度升高，镀层中微粒的复合量随之略有改变；电镀时，加强搅拌或适当改变搅拌方式，可以使复合镀居中的纳米微粒含量提高。还利用扫描电镜及能谱对Ni-Al2O3镀层表面进行了观察与分析。     

Oxidation of Hastelloy-XR Alloy for Corrosion-Resistant Glass-Coating

The oxidation behavior of Hastelloy-XR alloy was investigated to obtain the optimum surface condition for corrosion-resistant glass-coatings. The surface morphology of oxide scales changed significantly with variation of temperatureand oxygen partial pressure (po2 ). The oxidation kinetics was mainly parabolic independent of oxidation conditions.The oxide scales were consisted of inner Cr2O3 and outer spinel layers. The phase component of spinel layers wereMn1.5Cr1.5O4 and (Mn,Ni)(Cr,Fe)2O4 for the oxygen partial pressures po2<10 kPa and po2>10 kPa, respectively.The optimum oxidation condition to obtain an oxide scale for well-adhered glass-coating to the substrate was 1248 Kand po2 =0.01 kPa for the oxidation time of 43 ks.     

溶胶-凝胶法制备Na_2WO_4~-Mn/SiO_2催化剂及其甲烷氧化偶联反应性能的研究

采用溶胶-凝胶法制备了一系列5%Na2WO4-2%Mn/SiO2催化剂;用XRD、XPS、BET、O2-TPD和CO2-TPD等方法对催化剂进行了表征,并考察了对甲烷氧化偶联反应的催化性能。结果表明,与常规浸渍法相比,采用溶胶-凝胶法制备的Na2WO4-Mn/SiO2催化剂中W和Mn的原子浓度在催化剂表面和体相分布较为接近,而且两种制备方法所得的催化剂具有相似的催化性能,Na2WO4与α-方石英之间的相互作用,催化剂释放晶格氧的能力,碱性强弱是影响甲烷氧化偶联活性的关键因素。
