Group path covering and distance two labeling of graphs

For a positive integer d, an L(d,1)-labeling f of a graph G is an assignment of integers to the vertices of G such that |f(u)−f(v)|?d if uv∈E(G), and |f(u)−f(v)|?1 if u and u are at distance two. The span of an L(d,1)-labeling f of a graph is the absolute difference between the maximum and minimum integers used by f. The L(d,1)-labeling number of G, denoted by λd,1(G), is the minimum span over all L(d,1)-labelings of G. An L^′(d,1)-labeling of a graph G is an L(d,1)-labeling of G which assigns different labels to different vertices. Denote by the L^′(d,1)-labeling number of G. Georges et al. [Discrete Math. 135 (1994) 103-111] established relationship between the L(2,1)-labeling number of a graph G and the path covering number of Gc, the complement of G. In this paper we first generalize the concept of the path covering of a graph to the t-group path covering. Then we establish the relationship between the L^′(d,1)-labeling number of a graph G and the (d−1)-group path covering number of Gc. Using this result, we prove that and for bipartite graphs G can be computed in polynomial time.     

Necessary optimality conditions for fuzzy variational problems

The main aims of this study are to derive the fuzzy Euler-Lagrange conditions for both fuzzy unconstrained and constrained variational problems based on the concepts of differentiability and integrability of a fuzzy mapping that may be parameterized by the left and right-hand functions of its α-level sets.     

Strong stability of the mono-tubular heat exchanger equation with output feedback

We investigate asymptotic behavior of the C₀-semigroup T(t) associated with the mono-tubular heat exchanger equation with output feedback by a perturbation method. It is shown that T(t) is bounded if a constraint is satisfied by the parameters and the spatial distribution function. Further, applying the Arendt-Batty-Lyubich-Vu theorem, a criterion is established to judge strong stability of T(t).     

Unexpected products of the allyldiethylamine hydroformylation homogeneously catalyzed by rhodium complexes

Attempts to carry out the hydroformylation of allyldiethylamine homogeneously catalyzed by rhodium complexes led to unexpected formation of N,N,N,N-tetraethyl-1,4-diaminobutane and 4-(diethylamino)-1-butanole as final products. The role of the catalyst on the product formation and the reaction mechanism are briefly discussed.     

Chemical correlates of α-tocopherol (Vitamin E) alteredMalacosoma disstria herbivory inFraxinus pennsylvanica var.Subintegerrinia,green ash

The antioxidant -tocopherol (vitamin E), applied in a basal trunk band to the green ash tree,Fraxinus pennsylvanica var.subintergerrinia, elicited an alteration of foliar feeding byMalacosoma disstria larvae (Lepidoptera: Lasiocampidae). The bioassayed effects were dependent on the dosage of elicitor, the time after elicitation, and the position in the tree. Leaves for chemical analysis were collected from trees receiving two dosages and at two intervals after elicitation. Compounds in the ethyl acetate extractables from the ash tree leaves were separated by TLC and HPLC. TLC separations showed differences in the nonhydrolyzed extractables attributable to elicitor dosage and time after elicitation. TLC-resolved differences were also evident among acid-hydrolyzed samples. HPLC-resolved profiles revealed eight peaks in the nonhydrolyzed extractables that were quantitatively negatively correlated with larval feeding preference between elicited versus control foliage on at least one of the two sampling dates. Results from this study and other investigations reported in the literature indicate that the antioxidant-tocopherol (vitamin E) can function as an environmental-stress elicitor of alterable defensive chemistry in green ash and other plants.     

Quantitative analysis of pheromone production in irradiated Caribbean fruit fly males,Anastrepha suspensa (Loew)

Pheromonal volatiles emitted by irradiated and control 5- to 11-day-old Caribbean fruit flies,Anastrepha suspensa (Loew), were collected on Tenax adsorbent filters and quantified by gas chromatography (GC). The components released were identified by comparison of retention times on GC and by mass spectrometry (MS) with authentic synthetic standards. Pharate adults were irradiated with gamma rays from a⁶⁰Co source at a dose rate of 10.3 Gray (Gy)/min. The total dosages given were 30, 50, 70, and 100 Gy. Pheromone volatiles were collected from adult males when they were between 5 and 11 days of age. The compounds quantified were (Z)-3-nonenol and (Z, Z)-3,6-nonadienol, which eluted from the GC column together and were quantified as one peak,-bisabolene, suspensolide, anastrephin, and epianastrephin. Irradiation with 30 Gy did not significantly reduce any pheromonal components, nor did it change the pheromonal blend. In contrast, suspensolide and bisabolene were significantly reduced in flies irradiated with 50 Gy, while the nonenols and epianastrephin were reduced at the 70-Gy dose. Effects of α-Terthienyl on the midgut detoxification enzymes of the European corn borer,Ostrinia nubilalis

The biochemical basis for the tolerance of the European corn borer,Ostrinia nubilalis, to the phototoxin-terthienyl was investigated by measuring the midgut polysubstrate monooxygenases and glutathioneS-transferase activities.-Terthienyl administered in the diet to the corn borers increased the level of cytochromeb ₅, NADH-cytochromec reductase,O-demethylase, and glutathioneS-transferase activities. The induced detoxification enzyme activities should enable the corn borer to metabolize-terthienyl more efficiently and therefore render the corn borer highly tolerant to-terthienyl.     

基于Matlab的0-1背包问题的动态规划方法求解

飞机电缆连接关系数据库的设计与实现

针对飞机电缆检查时对连接关系查找过程中费时费力的现状,基于VC直接操作ADO的技术建立了飞机电缆连接关系的数据库（PCCD）,并实现了对飞机电缆的连接原理图,建立了点对点的实体化工作.同时,采用了基于树控件和基本连接图相结合的图形化查询方法.该方法简单实用,节约了时间,给专业人员的电缆检测提供了有力的支持.
