Deformation of Rodlike Elements of Composite Materials Subjected to Uniform Compression

On the basis of generalization of the results of investigation of the operation of rodlike elements of composite materials, we make a conclusion that the influence of various factors on the deformability of these elements is studied incompletely. The comparison of the stress-strain states for different models of concrete and reinforced-concrete elements makes it possible to describe the effect of longitudinal reinforcement (coefficient of reinforcement, strength and deformation characteristics) on the critical level of strains in the cross section. According to the results of our investigations, we give recommendations concerning the evaluation of the critical value of the coefficient of reinforcement above which one may observe the effect of reinforcement on the deformability of the analyzed sections. It is shown that the compression strength of the brittle base of the composite with inhomogeneous structure decreases as a result of the fracture processes. It is also demonstrated that the existing procedure used for the evaluation of the indicated decrease in strength requires significant improvement. The problem of evaluation of the ultimate value of the coefficient of reinforcement is also analyzed.     

粉末冶金法制备PSZ/Mo复合材料的研究

本文采用粉末冶金法制备了不同成分的PSZ/Mo复合材料。并对其密度、弹性模量和热膨胀系数进行了测量和分析 ,用XRD进行了物相分析。实验结果表明 :纳米氧化锆的烧结性能比金属钼好 ;弹性模量估算选用简单混合法则进行计算时应进行修正 ;钼和氧化锆在烧结时不发生化学反应。通过热压PSZ/Mo功能梯度材料的断口扫描分析发现 :虽然金属钼和纳米氧化锆具有一定增韧作用 ,但材料断裂方式仍以脆性断裂为主

Preparation of Laminin-apatite-polymer Composites Using Metastable Calcium Phosphate Solutions

A synthetic polymer with a laminin-apatite composite layer on its surface would be useful as a percutaneous device. The preparation of such a composite was attempted in the present study using poly（ ethylene terephthalate ） （PET） and polyethylene （PE） as the synthetic polymer. PET and PE plates and those pretreated with an oxygen plasma were alternately dipped in calcium and phosphate ion solutions, and then immersed in a metastable calcium phosphate solution supplemented with laminin （ LCP solution ）. The PET and PE plates pretreated with an oxygen plasma formed a uniform and continuous layer of a laminin-apatite composite on their surfaces. In contrast, the PET and PE plates that had not been pretreated with an oxygen plasma did not form a continuous layer of a laminin-apatite composite on their surfaces. The hydrophilic functional groups on the PET and PE surfaces introduced by the plasma treatment were responsible for the successful laminin-apatite coruposite coating.     

Laboratory study of property-modified prebaked carbon anode and application in large aluminum electrolysis cells

A kind of complex additive mainly containing Al, Mg, F, and O was prepared. The synthetical performances of the property-modified prebaked anodes containing additives were tested in laboratory. On the basis of ideal testing results obtained, a large number of industrial prebaked property-modified anodes are prepared in a large-scale aluminum company. Further more, they are all used in 160 kA prebaked anode aluminum electrolysis cells. The statistic result show that, compared with common anodes, the property-modified ones enhance current by 11.6 kg per ton aluminum averagely.     

高温预析出对Al-Zn-Mg系铝合金时效硬化和应力腐蚀的影响

研究了高温固溶后降温处理工艺对中强可使预析出LC52和7039铝合金的组织、时效硬化和应力腐蚀的影响。金相观察发现,高温预析出可优先在晶界处产生,并提高随后时效状态下晶界析出相的不连续分布程度,温度降低到一定程度晶内和晶界产生大量析出。合金拉伸性能和应力腐蚀结果表明,预析出在保持强度和塑性的同时,可提高抗应力腐蚀性能。而预析出温度降低,合金强度呈下降趋势。     

复合绝缘子老化评估方法浅析

复合绝缘子老化是用户十分关心的问题。笔者介绍了两种判别复合绝缘子老化程度的方法,并通过实例,分析了这两种方法的优点以及存在的问题。     

JOINING MECHANISMS OF β''''-Al2O3 CERAMIC AND PYREX GLASS TO Al MATRIX COMPOSITE

The bonding of β'-Al2O3 and pyrex glass to Al matrix composites by anodic bonding process is achieved. The microstructure of the bonded interface and the joining mechanisms are analyzed with scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometer (EDX). It is observed that the bonding region across the interface consists of the metal layer, oxide transitional layer and the ceramic layer, with the transitional layer composed of surface region and sub-surface region. The bonding process can mainly be categorized into anodic bonding process and solid state diffusing process. The pile-up of the ions and its drift in the interface area are the main reasons for anode oxidation and joining of the interface. The temperature, voltage and the drift ions in the ceramic or glass during the bonding process are the essential conditions to solid state diffusing and oxide bonding at the interface. The voltages, temperature, pressure as well as the surface state are the main factors that influence the anodic bonding.     

Influence of accelerated ageing on methacrylate‐based denture resins heterogeneity as viewed by ESR‐spin‐probe method

The electron‐spin‐resonance (ESR) spin‐probe method, was used to study the heterogeneity of denture resins based on poly(methyl methacrylate). Results for three resins processed by microwave energy, conventional curing and cold curing (depending on the curing procedure and exposed to ageing in various environmental conditions) were compared. All three cured resins were stored over the same time (1200 h) in distilled water at ambient temperature and in artificial saliva at 348 K. The temperature‐dependent ESR spectra of a spin probe dispersed in the denture resins are analyzed in terms of line‐shapes and line‐widths. The appearance of two spectral components was taken as an indication of resin heterogeneity. The results reveal that the cold‐cured resin has a lower local density in comparison with microwave and conventionally cured resin. The amount of residual monomer also contributes to the local motion of polymer segments. The change of denture resins exposed to ageing is influenced both by the structure of the original resin and the ageing conditions. Restricted motion of a spin probe incorporated into the acrylic resins exposed to accelerated ageing suggests additional crosslinking of polymer chains. The differences are observed for all the investigated resins, but the highest change is observed with the cold‐cured resin. The ESR results are accompanied by T_g and T_m measurements. Corrosion Inhibition Mechanism with Spilt Cell Technique of Rare Earth Metal on LC4 Al Alloy

A new method of studying the corrosion inhibition mechanism of rare earth metal(REM) on LC4 Al alloy with the spilt cell technique was studied. The principle and experimental method of the spilt cell technique were analyzed. By measuring the change of net-electric current between the two electrodes caused by the change of the amount of oxygen in the solution and the addition of CeCl₃, the influence of corrosive performance of CeCl₃ on LC4 super-power aluminum alloy in the 0.1 mol·L⁻¹ NaCl solution was investigated. Meanwhile, the conditional changes of pH values, CeCl₃ solution, additire and time of performance were also studied. Finally, the features of electrode surface were revealed by using SEM and X-ray energy-dispersive spectrometry (EDS).
