Failure analysis used for remanufacturing of steel rolling components

The guide-pieces, used in the process line of steel rolling, were the important components. The guidepieces, which were slide contacting with the rolled-piece, had a high temperature and high speed. The wear was very serious. The results from failure analysis showed that there were three failure forms in the guide-pieces: the first was the wear during heat friction, the second was the heat fatigue under the cycle of deep heating and deep cooling, and the third was the impact rupture. Among them, the wear was the main reason. To the wear of guidepieces, there were four mechanisms, namely abrasive wear, adhesive wear, fatigue wear and corrosion wear. Modeling and simulation of a fully air swept ball mill in a raw material grinding circuit

A raw material grinding circuit was modeled using plant data. Samples were collected from around the circuit and, following a crash stop, from inside the mill. The size distributions of the samples were determined down to a few microns. Using the data from inside the mill a modeling approach, based on perfect mixing, was developed. The modelling approach implicitly assumes that the mixture of feed materials broken is homogenous from the breakage point of view. The air classification around the circuit was modeled using the efficiency curve approach. In order to measure the success of the method the circuit performance was predicted by simulation studies while it was operating at different conditions. The results were then compared with the measured data. It is concluded that modeling gives a useful quantitative indication of what may occur in fully air swept mills.

Finite‐Element Implementation of a Self‐consistent Texture Model with a Hardening Law Based on Dislocation Densities

A self‐consistent texture model is implemented in the finite‐element code ABAQUS/Explicit®. Hardening of the slip systems is described by evolution laws for dislocation densities, and the Bauschinger effect is included. With these ingredients the cold rolling of an IF‐steel is simulated and the evolution of texture and anisotropy is examined. The use of the dislocation based hardening law is found to have a significant effect on the evolution of the anisotropic yield surface, but only very little influence on the texture. Furthermore, the hardening model is used to investigate the evolution of dislocation densities in differently oriented grains during plane strain compression. It is found that the dislocation density varies greatly depending on orientation, an observation which can help to explain the orientation dependence of recrystallization.     

薄板坯连铸连轧流程Ti微合金化高强钢开发与应用

在薄板坯连铸连轧流程上，经过对Ti微合金化技术研究，有效解决了Ti微合金化强度性能波动大的问题，开发出屈服强度450～700MPa高强钢。对试制钢组织性能和工业应用分析研究，表明该产品通板性能良好，通板强度差30MPa左右；成形性能良好，d=0时冷弯测试全部合格；同时还具有良好焊接性能，焊接后，强度波动较小，均在母材部位断开；试制钢显微组织为珠光体和铁素体，晶粒均匀细小，平均尺寸为4～8／μm；实物质量满足集装箱和汽车制造行业要求，具有广阔市场前景。     

Amorphous diffusion bonding of steel pipe and its impact toughness

An iron-based amorphous foil (FeNiCrSiB) was used as an interlayer for the amorphous diffusion bonding of low carbon steel pipes under argon flux. The microstructure and mechanical properties of the joint were analyzed using an electron probe micro-analyzer (EPMA), tensile test, bending test and impact test. The results show that the joint microstructure resembles that of the base metal and no precipitates form at the joint. Melting point depressants (B, Si) diffuse far away from the joint and the base metal element is homogenous across the joint. The joint impact toughness is greater than the base metal toughness and the mechanical properties of the joint are similar around the pipe.     

温度应力、自收缩对高性能混凝土早期开裂的影响

根据高性混凝土的水化特性、物理力学特性及自收缩特性，分析了高性能混凝土早期开裂机理和影响早期开裂的主要因素．并结合工程实例，借助混凝土温度和应力有限元仿真计算方法分析研究了表面适度保温和水管冷却技术在高性能混凝土温控防裂中的应用效果．研究结果表明，表面适度保温与水管冷却相结合能有效降低混凝土的内外温差，减小混凝土早期表面拉应力与后期内部拉应力，防裂效果明显，对类似的工程具有借鉴作用．     

Total simulation model of the thermo-mechanical process in shape rolling of steel rods

The production of steel reinforcing bars for civil engineering is investigated by means of FEM-simulation. An integrated system for computing appropriate thermo-mechanical parameters of the rolling process is proposed. Generalized plane strain approach and coupled thermal-mechanical solution are applied. The microstructural model combines both the effect of the recrystallization mechanisms (static, dynamic and metadynamic) upon the austenite grain forming in hot rolling and that of phase transformation upon the final microstructure. The phases are created during interrupted below the temperature of martensite transition cooling. Thus a typical industrial process for thermo-mechanical strengthening of reinforcing bars, known as Tempcor-process is considered. Computational results are validated to experimental measured mechanical properties of the steel. By means of computer simulation the system can perform different solutions, giving the possibility to obtain a reasonable choice of different thermo-mechanical rolling conditions.
