Prediction of spectral reflectance factor distribution of automotive paint finishes

It is necessary to determine the accurate reflectance of painted surfaces for the review of paint finishes by computer graphics (CG) before actual painting of the exterior color of automobiles, and for quality control during production and inspection processes. We have optimized a method for measuring reflectance by using a statistical technique. We have found that the reflectance of a painted surface is best measured at an incident angle of 60° and at five aspecular angles of 10°, 18°, 28°, 40°, and 90°. Our method makes it possible to accurately reproduce reflection characteristics of paint finishes containing special flake pigments, such as pearl mica. Also it was proved that our method can apply not only to solid and metallic coatings but to all painted surfaces. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 介绍了一种基于多普勒效应的可进行动态微位移测量的激光微位移测量系统。该系统以He-Ne激光器为光源,配以干涉系统移动方向判别及分频系统、CCD视频信号的高速动态采集系统、微机处理系统及干涉图处理软件包等。与传统测量方法相比,其精度、灵敏度及稳定性都有较大提高,并实现了微位移的全自动测量。     

一个改进的单抓钩周期性排序模型及其在自动化学处理线中的应用

计算机控制的抓钩广泛用于自动化学处理线的工件的运送。抓钩的排序直接影响系统的生产率，抓钩排序的目标是对运送进行排序以极大化生产率。当某工序处理时间非常长时，该工序成为瓶颈。为了去除该瓶颈，系统可以为该工序设计多个处理槽，这称为“多重处理槽”问题。本文提出一个改进的混合整数规划模型以求解有“多重处理槽”的单抓钩周期性排序问题的最优解。实例表明所提出的方法是有效的。     

Stress Heterogeneity Effect on the Strength of Silicon Nitride

The experiments reported in this paper demonstrate the causes of the failure of monolithic ceramics. The specimens are made of silicon nitride and tested at room temperature. The stress field within the specimen is different for each of four series of tests that have been conducted. Fractographic observations have also been made to identify the causes of the failures. A size effect analysis is performed.     

Kripke Semantics for Modal Substructural Logics

We introduce Kripke semantics for modal substructural logics, and provethe completeness theorems with respect to the semantics. Thecompleteness theorems are proved using an extended Ishihara's method ofcanonical model construction (Ishihara, 2000). The framework presentedcan deal with a broad range of modal substructural logics, including afragment of modal intuitionistic linear logic, and modal versions ofCorsi's logics, Visser's logic, Méndez's logics and relevant logics.     

Linked influence of pH and cations on fatty-acid monolayer integrity related to high-quality Langmuir-Blodgett films

This study shows the connection between the morphological structure of transferred films and the chemical composition of the monolayer before transfer. The stability of a behenic acid monolayer depends on the linked influence of the type of cation and of the pH value in the aqueous subphase. The stability of the monolayer is assessed by the expansion of the solid-packed state and by the relaxation time. Its integrity is characterized by the number of crystal defects which appear in transferred Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films as seen through Nomarski microscope observations. Both stability and integrity are greatly improved when Cd²⁺ or Mn²⁺are added to the subphase at pH 5.75 and 6 respectively. In these conditions, the transfer is very efficient and the LB films thus obtained are of very high quality. The pH values of the subphase at which the molecules of behenic acid are transformed into bivalent salts differ significantly according to the nature of the cation involved. Comparing infrared spectra of the LB films, it appeared that the relative amount of acid/salt found in the monolayer was practically the same with a subphase containing either Cd²⁺ at pH 5.75 or Mn²⁺ at pH 6. This suggests that the ratio of acidic and salt forms would be a key parameter for obtaining high-quality LB films.
