High Temperature Oxidation Behavior of La2O3-MosSi3/MoSi2 Composites

The oxidation behavior of 0. 8% La2O3- Mo5Si3/MoSi2 composites at 1200℃ in air was investigated. The results reveal that the oxidation resistance of the material with 0. 8% La2O3 and Mo5Si3 is impaired. The oxidation resistance is decreased with increasing Mo5Si3 content. The mass loss follows a linear law in the initial oxidation. With oxidation time prolonging, a continuous and dense oxidation scale prevents oxygen from diffusing increasing when and leads to mass change a Mo5Si3 content is less than 30%. However, the composite shows ＂PEST＂ with the addition of 40% Mo5Si3. With increasing Mo5Si3 content, the oxidation resistance of 0.8% La2O3- Mo5Si3/MoSi2 decreases. This attributes to the poor oxidation resistance of M05Si3 and the relative density decreasing of 0. 8% La2O3-Mo5Si3/MoSi2 composite.     

A prospective investigation of the impact of childhood sexual abuse on the development of sexuality.

The sexual attitudes and activities of 77 sexually abused and 89 comparison women (mean age=20.41, SD=3.38) were assessed 10 years after disclosure in a longitudinal, prospective study of the long-term effects of childhood sexual abuse. Abused participants were more preoccupied with sex, younger at first voluntary intercourse, more likely to have been teen mothers, and endorsed lower birth control efficacy than comparison participants. When psychological functioning earlier in development was examined, sexual preoccupation was predicted by anxiety, sexual aversion was predicted by childhood sexual behavior problems, and sexual ambivalence (simultaneous sexual preoccupation and sexual aversion) was predicted by pathological dissociation. Findings also indicate that biological father abuse may be associated with greater sexual aversion and sexual ambivalence. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2010 APA, all rights reserved)     

Diffusional behavior of multi-arm star polymers by H pulsed field gradient spin-echo NMR method

The diffusional behavior of multi-arm star-shaped p(tBMA) was investigated in a concentration range from dilute to semidilute region with ¹H pulsed field gradient spin-echo NMR (PFGSE-NMR). An 142-arm star-shaped p(tBMA) showed two diffusional mode, which reflected the coexistence of liquid ordering phase and liquid phase near the ordering transition. On the other hand, for star-shaped p(tBMA) with 55 arms showed a single diffusional relaxation in all concentration ranges during observation time. In the semidilute region, the relationship between the diffusion coefficient against the polymer concentration was affected strongly not only the arm number but also liquid ordering structure.     

The social consequences of expressive suppression.

At times, people keep their emotions from showing during social interactions. The authors' analysis suggests that such expressive suppression should disrupt communication and increase stress levels. To test this hypothesis, the authors conducted 2 studies in which unacquainted pairs of women discussed an upsetting topic. In Study 1, one member of each pair was randomly assigned to (a) suppress her emotional behavior, (b) respond naturally, or (c) cognitively reappraise in a way that reduced emotional responding. Suppression alone disrupted communication and magnified blood pressure responses in the suppressors' partners. In Study 2, suppression had a negative impact on the regulators' emotional experience and increased blood pressure in both regulators and their partners. 水驱强度对油井压力动态的影响研究

建立了水驱强度影响下的水驱油渗流数学模型，在获得数学模型解的基础上，计算了考虑井筒储存、表皮效应以及水驱强度影响下油井的压力及压力导数典型曲线，分析了压力动态特征，通过这些研究为水驱油藏的试井分析提供了理论基础，为水驱油藏的识别提供了一种新的手段。     

羟基磷灰石涂层人工关节的应用研究

采用人工合成高纯度的羟基磷灰石粉末，喷涂在具有注册证的钛合金和钴铬钼合金人工关节上。通过生物学基础检测、动物实验和临床试用，证明所制作的各种羟基磷灰石涂层人工关节，能诱发骨质生长，起生物固定作用，对治疗丧失功能的骨胳效果甚佳。

He has been an Extramural Instructor at O.I.S.E.] Reviews the book, The parent-child connection by Arnold Rincover (1988). The parent-child connection is a well written book that offers valuable advice to help parents of young children evaluate and understand their children's behaviour. It also offers useful suggestions on managing child behaviour, although these parenting tips are most likely to be useful to those parents who least need them (i.e., those with numerous personal and social resources, whose children are presenting only minor behavioural difficulties). The two general themes of the book, child behaviour as communication and developmental norms as guidelines for deciding if behaviour is problematic, are well-suited to the purposes of a parent reference book. They offer an appropriate framework for discussing specific child behaviours and helping parents to determine if these behaviours are problematic in their children. This book is a welcome addition to the list of available parenting books, and may prove particularly useful for younger parents in need of accurate and understandable information about normal child development and behaviour. A place for Bobo in play therapy.

Some therapists hold that the Bobo and other aggressive toys should be excluded from the playroom as they elicit acting-out behavior that is transferred to the world outside the playroom. However, many therapists view the inclusion of these items as imperative elements that facilitate positive growth and maturation in the child. Interviews with authorities in the field of play therapy support the position that the inclusion of the Bobo is not only useful, but a therapeutic necessity.
