应用线段长短、间距大小视觉反应的量化规律，提出设计图形符号大小的原则——既更使其大小满足“长”“短”“大”“小”的心理要求，又要互相之间在大小上有区分性。根据图形组织的相似、接近、连续三原则提出设计图形符号形状的原则——图形符号之间尽量减少相似、接近、连续，以保证较好的区分性。通过分析发现，现行建筑制图标准中的图形符号绝大部分在大小和形状具有适宜性、区分性。     

利用C++Builder 5.0开发原理框图绘图软件

介绍了原理框图各种图形的数据存储方法，利用C^ Builder5.0开发了原理框图的绘图软件，实现了原理框图绘制的基本功能。     

Stability of formal thought disorder and referential communication disturbances in schizophrenia.

This study examined the degree to which different types of communication disturbances in the speech of 48 schizophrenia patients and 28 controls were variable and state related versus stable and traitlike. Clinically rated formal thought disorder and 5 types of referential disturbance showed substantial stability within participants over time. The sixth type of referential disturbance, the vague reference, was not stable over time. Formal thought disorder was associated with the severity of core psychotic symptoms in patients, whereas referential disturbances showed little or no association with positive or negative symptom severity. Furthermore, changes in psychotic symptoms over time were accompanied by corresponding changes in formal thought disorder but not referential disturbances. These results support the idea that some types of referential disturbances are traitlike and may be reflective of vulnerability as well as manifest illness. Effect of variable friction coefficient on sheet metal drawing

A variable friction model that relates the parameters of sheet metal drawing to the local lubrication conditions taking place during the deformation, has been integrated to a finite element program. Variable friction coefficients for the contacting surfaces are determined from the friction model, which uses the related parameters obtained at each time step of the finite element program as inputs. A number of numerical runs have been performed and the strains are compared with the experimental results for circular blanks. A good agreement is obtained between the numerical and experimental results for the variable friction model used.     

Processing and properties of zirconia-toughened alumina ceramics

Al₂O₃:ZrO₂ ceramics have been prepared from physically mixed pure oxide powders. The results indicate that careful processing of the starting powders and a two-stage sintering process can avoid expensive processing methods like hot pressing/hot isostatic pressing used for achieving high densification. The mechanical properties were measured and the resultant microstructure studied to explain the toughening behaviour of this material.
