Deposition temperature effect on sputtered hydroxyapatite coatings prepared on AZ31B alloy substrate

The corrosion of Mg alloys is a provocative topic and it is still a challenge to find a solution for the improvement of their degradation rate into solution found in human body (Simulated Body Fluid, SBF). The aim of the present paper is to coat AZ31B alloy by hydroxyapatite (HAp) as a possible solution in order to change its degradation behaviour for medical implants. Since the Mg alloy is sensible to temperature while the HAp properties depend on the deposition temperature, in this study, the effect of deposition temperature on the properties of the AZ31Balloy was evaluated. The HAp coatings were prepared using the RF magnetron sputtering technique, ranging the temperature from the room one to 400 °C. It was found that the grain size of the investigated Mg alloy increased more than 100% when the deposition temperature was increased. By increasing the temperature, the hardness level was reduced of about 15%. All HAp coatings revealed corrosion behaviour much better than the uncoated AZ31B alloy; in particular, the coating deposited at 200 °C exhibited the best corrosion behavior. Moreover, the best protection to the corrosive attack of SBF was found for the HAp coating deposited at 200 °C (97.3%), which was also characterized by the lowest porosity. To conclude, HAp coatings can be used to improve the properties of AZ31B alloys, but just up to 200 °C; beyond this temperature, the mechanical and the anticorrosion properties are lost. 相似文献

Using MgC2O4, Mg powders as raw materials and Ni(NO3)2?6H2O as a catalyst, CNTs/MgO composite powders were prepared by a catalytic combustion synthesis method. The CNTs/MgO composite powders were characterized by XRD, Raman spectroscopy, FESEM/EDS and HRTEM. The effects of catalyst content on the degree of graphitization and aspect ratio of the CNTs in composite powders were investigated. Moreover, the thermal shock resistance of low-carbon Al2O3–C refractories after adding the composite powder was investigated. The results indicated that the CNTs prepared with 1 wt% Ni(NO3)2?6H2O addition had a higher degree of graphitization and aspect ratio. In particular, the aspect ratio could reach approximately 200. The growth mechanism of hollow bamboo-like CNTs in the composite powders was proven to be a V-L-S mechanism. The thermal shock resistance of Al2O3–C samples could be improved significantly after adding CNTs/MgO composite powders. In particular, compared with CM0, the residual strength ratio of Al2O3–C samples with added 2.5 wt% composite powders could be increased 63.9%. 相似文献

High-performance and low-carbon MgO–C refractories are important refractories for smelting ultra-low carbon steel and clean steel. Based on this, Cr3C2/C composite powders were synthesized by the molten-salt method, and used as an additive to prepare low-carbon MgO–C refractories under nitrogen atmosphere. The phase, morphology and oxidation kinetics of Cr3C2/C composite powders were studied. In addition, the effect of Cr3C2/C composite powders on the morphology, mechanical properties, thermal shock resistance, and corrosion resistance of MgO–C refractories was investigated. The results indicated that the Cr3C2/C composite powders exhibited superior oxidation resistance than flake graphite. Moreover, the Cr3C2/C composite powders were introduced into the MgO–C refractories. Compared with the sample without Cr3C2/C composite powders, the introduction of 1 wt% Cr3C2/C composite powders significantly improved the thermomechanical properties and corrosion resistance of the material, its CMOR, CCS before and CCS after thermal shock were 9.06 MPa, 50.40 MPa and 32.60 MPa, respectively, and the corrosion index was significantly reduced from 44.6% to 26.5%. 相似文献

The growing demand for radiation-resistant optical glasses for space and nuclear radiation applications has attracted significant research interest. However, radiation-resistant fluorophosphate glasses have been poorly studied. In this work, we report on the tailoring and performance of radiation-resistant fluorophosphate glasses that contained cerium through codoping with Sb2O3 and Bi2O3. The physical properties, optical properties, microstructure, and defects of fluorophosphate glasses were investigated using transmittance measurements, absorption measurements, as well as Raman spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy. The results showed that the radiation resistance of all codoped fluorophosphate glasses was better than the undoped cerium-containing fluorophosphate glasses after 10–250 krad(Si) irradiation. Especially in glasses doped with Bi2O3, the optical density increment at 385 nm was only 0.1482 after 250 krad(Si) irradiation. The CeO2 prevented the development of phosphate-related oxygen hole center (POHC) defects, whereas further codoping with Bi2O3 suppressed the formation of oxygen hole center (OHC) and POEC defects, reducing the breaking of phosphate chains caused by CeO2. Bi3+ is more likely than Sb3+ to change the valence, affecting the transition equilibrium of intrinsic defects and reducing the concentration of defects produced by irradiation. When codoping with Sb2O3 and Bi2O3, Bi2O3 does not enhance radiation resistance owing to the scission effect of Sb2O3 on the phosphate chain, which is not conducive to the radiation resistance of glasses. This indicates that the cerium-containing fluorophosphate glasses doped with Bi2O3 can effectively suppress the defects caused by irradiation and improve the radiation resistance of the glasses. 相似文献

A specially designed experimental device was used in laboratory to investigate the corrosion of mullite during the calcination of Li(NixCoyMnz)O2 (LNCM) materials. The anti-corrosion tests were carried out at 1000, 1100, 1200 and 1300 °C, and characterized with X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. The influence of temperature on the interactions between mullite insulation materials and LNCM materials was determined. In addition, the high-temperature creep properties of the mullite insulation materials before and after corrosion were tested. The laboratory scale tests, thermodynamic and kinetic calculations allowed a more comprehensive understanding of the evolution of the mullite insulation materials during serving for the roasting process of LNCM materials. Through this research, it is suggested that the upgrading of the kiln lining in the lithium battery industry should select materials with excellent resistance to alkali corrosion, especially excellent resistance to Li+ corrosion. 相似文献

导电织物在可穿戴电子领域前景广阔,但在使用过程的稳定性仍需提高。通过缩合反应,在棉织物(CF)上接枝了γ-巯丙基三甲氧基硅烷(MPTS),再利用化学镀的方式沉积银颗粒,制备出棉/银复合织物电极(Ag/M-CF)。Ag/M-CF的表面方阻低至0.04 Ω/sq,而且在多个方面(洗涤、拉伸、弯曲和氧化)都有良好的稳定性。洗涤200次后,表面方阻仅为1.88 Ω/sq,导电性能良好,满足实际需要;拉伸5%后,表面方阻仅为1.00 Ω/sq;经过3000次弯曲后,Ag/M-CF的表面方阻增加至1.38 Ω/sq;在恒温恒湿环境中放置9周后,表面方阻仅为0.50 Ω/sq。将洗涤前后的Ag/M-CF植入智能服装中,都能成功捕捉到人体在运动状态下的心电信号,而且测得的心率几乎相同。除此之外,Ag/M-CF还具有良好的机械性能和抗菌性。关键词:织物电极;洗涤稳定性;弯曲性能;耐氧化性能;心电图中图分类号:TS195.5 文献标识码: A 文章编号:1003-5214 (2020) 01-0000-00 相似文献

Poor antioxidant and thermal-shock capacities of C/C composites thermal barrier coating (TBC) caused by cracking and shedding of coatings has been a major obstacle blocking the development of C/C composites. Herein, in-situ growth of whisker reinforced silicon carbide transition layer and inter-embedding mechanism of multi-gradient coatings were brought into the design of TBC to enhance the antioxidant and thermal-shock capacities. A three-layer gradient coating SiC-SiCw/ZrB2-SiC/ZrSiO4-aluminosilicate glass (ZAG) from inside to outside, in which ZrB2-SiC/ZAG serve as oxygen barrier layers with self-healing ability and SiC-SiCw provides thermal stress buffering and bonding against cracking and shedding of coatings, is designed. The ZAG mainly forms a dense oxygen blocking frontier with self-healing ability through fluidized glass, while the ZrB2-SiC can react actively with infiltrated oxygen in a way of self-sacrifice, preventing oxygen erosion to C/C matrix and SiC-SiCw transition layer. As a result, the collaborative work among layers endows this coating with excellent high temperature service performance. This work provides a new insight for the design of excellent TBC. 相似文献

Two types of MgO-C refractories with tight particle grading and non-tight particle grading were prepared according to Andreasen's continuous packing theory. Fracture behaviors were investigated using wedge splitting tests combined with digital image correlation method and acoustic emission techniques. The results indicated that MgO-C refractory with non-tight particle grading treated at 1400 ℃ had more in situ phases (e.g., AlN and MgAl2O4) and exhibited less brittleness than specimens with tight particle grading even though they had similar nominal tensile strengths. In contrast, specimens with non-tight particle grading had greater horizontal strain under various loading stages, reflecting their better ability to resist rupture deformation. In addition, more microcracks were initiated earlier in the pre-peak region, and more energy was consumed. The decrease in coarse particles and corresponding increase in fine powder content increased the interface between particles, benefiting for reducing the local stress concentration and improving the thermal shock resistance of refractories. 相似文献

A novel composite reinforcement with horizontal multilayer "Spider web like" SiC nanowire networks and vertical interconnected "Z-pins like" SiC rods was designed and prepared by facile one-step figuration. The linear ablation rate of "Spider web like" SiC nanowire networks and "Z-pins like" SiC rods collectively reinforced C/C-ZrC-SiC composites at 2610 ± 20 ℃ was 0.4 ± 0.03 μm/s with a 74.19 % reduction. The improved ablation resistance was attributed to a denser gradient oxide layer composed of central ZrO2 layer, transitional ZrO2-SiO2 layer and marginal SiO2 layer generated under the initial sticky net effect from SiCnw networks and subsequent oxide compensation from "Z-pins like" SiC rods. 相似文献
