A finite segment model is developed to calculate the shear lag effects for box girders with varying depth. Multiple longitudinal displacement functions are used to derive the stiffness matrix and the nodal force vector of the segment element. The shear deformation of the web is taken into consideration. A Perspex glass model of a three-span continuous box girder with varying depth is tested to provide experimental results for verifying the accuracy of the proposed method. The influences of the flange width to span ratio and girder–height ratio upon the shear lag are presented and discussed. 相似文献

In this article, the influence of AA2024 and AA5083 coarse grains on mechanical properties and failure mechanisms of AA5083-5wt. %B4C tri-modal composite has been discussed. AA2024 and AA5083 powders (<100 µm) were added to mechanically milled AA5083-5 wt.%B4C powders in 25 and 50 wt.% and the mixtures were consolidated using the hot press and hot extrusion techniques. Results indicated that by adding AA2024 and AA5083 powders as coarse grains, hardness and tensile strength of AA5083-5 wt.%B4C composite decreased but ductility increased. Moreover, by adding AA2024 powders as coarse grains, fracture mode changed and cracks tended to grow through along AA2024/AA5083-5 wt.%B4C interface rather than being arrested or deflected. It seemed that dislocation mobility and the interface between coarse grains and ultra-fine grains had the main role in determining the mechanical properties and failure mechanisms in tri-modal AA5083-B4C composites. 相似文献

This work describes a novel Fe3O4@SiO2@polyaminoquinoline magnetic nanocomposite and its application in the pre-concentration of Cd(II) and Pb(II) ions. The parameters affecting the pre-concentration procedure were optimised by a Box–Behnken design through response surface methodology. Three variables (extraction time, magnetic sorbent amount and pH) were selected as the main factors affecting the sorption step, while four variables (type, volume and concentration of the eluent, and elution time) were selected as main factors in the optimisation study of the elution step. Following the sorption and elution of analytes, the ions were quantified by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FASS). The limits of detection were 0.1 and 0.7 ng ml?1 for Cd(II) and Pb(II) ions, respectively. All the relative standard deviations were less than 7.6%. The sorption capacities of this new sorbent were 57 mg g?1 for Cd(II) and 73 mg g?1 for Pb(II). Ultimately, this nanocomposite was successfully applied to the rapid extraction of trace quantities of these heavy metal ions from seafood and agricultural samples and satisfactory results were obtained. 相似文献

Context: Nanosuspensions (NSs) of poorly water-soluble drugs are known to increase the oral bioavailability.Objectives: The purpose of this study was to develop NS of efavirenz (EFV) and to investigate its potential in enhancing the oral bioavailability of EFV.Materials and methods: EFV NS was prepared using the media milling technique. The Box–Behnken design was used for optimization of the factors affecting EFV NS. Sodium lauryl sulfate and PVP K30 were used to stabilize the NS. Freeze-dried NS was completely re-dispersed with double-distilled filtered water.Results: Mean particle size and zeta potential of the optimized NS were found to be 320.4?±?3.62?nm and –32.8?±?0.4 mV, respectively. X-ray diffraction and differential scanning calorimetric analysis indicated no phase transitions. Rate and extent of drug dissolution in the dissolution medium for NS was significantly higher compared to marketed formulation. The parallel artificial membrane permeability assay revealed that NS successfully enhanced the permeation of EFV. Results of in situ absorption studies showed a significant difference in absorption parameters such as Ka, t1/2 and uptake percentages between lyophilized NS and marketed formulation of EFV. Oral bioavailability of EFV in rabbits resulting from NS was increased by 2.19-fold compared to the marketed formulation.Conclusion: Thus, it can be concluded that NS formulation of EFV can provide improved oral bioavailability due to enhanced solubility, dissolution velocity, permeability and hence absorption. 相似文献

Bridge performance undergoes time-varying changes when exposed to aggressive environments. While much work has been done on bridge reliability under corrosion, little is known about the effects of creep and shrinkage on the reliability of concrete bridges. In this paper, the CEB-FIP model for creep and shrinkage is applied by using finite-element (FE) analysis in conjunction with probabilistic considerations. Verification is made by comparing the analytical findings with existing test data. More specifically, a time-dependent reliability assessment is made for a composite prestressed concrete (PSC) box-girder bridge exposed to a chloride environment. This realized via an advanced probabilistic FE method. The postcracking behavior of the thin-walled box girder is described using composite degenerated shell elements, and importance sampling is used to improve the efficiency of the reliability analyses. It is shown that concrete creep and shrinkage dominate during the early stages of bridge structure deterioration. This is accompanied by a decrease in reliability owing to the combined action of creep, shrinkage, and corrosion. The reliability indexes for the serviceability and the tendon yielding limit state fall below the target levels prior to the expected service life. Therefore, early maintenance and/or repair measures are required. 相似文献

Essential oil was extracted from lavender using supercritical carbon dioxide by means of a newly developed periodic static‐dynamic (PSD) procedure and the conventional semicontinuous (SC) technique. Applying GC‐FID analysis in conjunction with Box‐Behnken design, an optimum overall extraction yield (94.4 %) was obtained via PSD in contrast to 90 % for the SC method. The results indicate that supercritical fluid extraction is a viable technique for separation of constituents such as linalyl acetate, linalool, fenchone, and camphor for pharmaceutical and medicinal applications. Furthermore, a substantial reduction of energy consumption and solvent consumption is achieved with the developed PSD process compared to the conventional SC method. 相似文献
