Improving R&D processes by an ISO 9001-based Quality Management System

This paper presents practical experience in planning, implementing, and adopting a Quality Management System (QMS) for embedded systems development at VTT Electronics. The main objective for the development of the QMS was to make it practical for real-life embedded systems research and development (R&D) projects. We have applied the ISO 9001 standard and ISO 9000–3 guidelines in building the quality system. From our personnel's point of view, the most important parts of the system have been document skeletons and plan templates that were made accessible to everyone. One of the major quality improvement resulting from the use of the QMS has been the enhanced predictability of R&D projects. This makes it possible for the organization to concentrate on essential matters. From our clients' point of view, we have clearly improved the quality of our R&D services in terms of the customer satisfaction index. Based on QMS auditing activities, we have been able to evaluate and tune our R&D procedures in a systematic manner. We have decided to use Total Quality Management and Quality Award frameworks in the further development of the QMS. Customer service and human resources management are examples of important areas for further quality improvement.     

Developing a framework for sustainability management in engineering SMEs

Sustainability issues in manufacturing and production are growing exponentially. Initially referring to environmental considerations, sustainability now also encompasses social, ethical and economical responsibilities. This paper focuses on engineering and manufacturing SMEs and outlines a regional study undertaken on a small number of these companies which have succeeded in developing appropriate tools and strategies to satisfy the current ISO 14001 standard. Their experiences, strategies and solutions are used to devise and develop a framework for sustainability management, taking an incremental approach in moving from environmental management, using ISO 14001 as a foundation, to sustainability management which will contribute to an annual sustainability report which is currently only undertaken by large corporations. The framework consists of two levels, with the first focusing on ISO 14001 and the second aimed towards managing all social, environmental and economical aspects within an engineering SME. Key results from the regional study of ISO 14001 certified engineering SMEs highlight the importance of environmental and sustainability awareness programs for top management, eliciting and obtaining their full support and commitment.     

气动ABS故障诊断系统设计

针对气压制动ABS,设计了一种双CPU结构的故障诊断系统。按照故障部位对ABS可能出现的故障进行了分类,确定诊断方法,完成相应的硬件电路设计和软件开发。采用ISO9141故障诊断通讯协议,在自主开发的ABS系统中设计了用于故障码传输的通讯电路与接口。实车试验表明,所开发的ABS故障诊断系统是合理可行的。     

ISO9000质量管理体系在广播电视行业中的导入

广播电视是一个特殊行业,它在一定的规程下生产出电视和广播节目这种特殊的精神产品。ISO9000体系是以满足顾客需求为核心思想所建立的一套规范化系统化的产品质量或服务质量的管理体系。本文对ISO9000质量认证体系的基本概念、管理的原则在广播电视媒体的导入进行了阐述,并以实证的方式说明该体系在广播电视行业中的运作方法和取得的效果。     

基于ISO 27001:2005的电网公司信息安全管理

随着信息化的持续推进,电网企业的信息安全问题越来越突出。嘉兴电力继2004年引入ITIL服务管理以后,2006年又实现了信息安全的标准化管理,介绍了公司通过引入ISO/IEC 27001：2005,建立一体化的企业级信息安全管理体系的方法。

从践行"大水文"理念、满足社会需求和自身发展的角度,阐述了水利部长江水利委员会水文局率先自发导入ISO质量管理体系的动因,介绍了运用PDCA过程方法和系统管理方法构建质量管理体系、改进质量管理模式的创新性思路与做法,以及所取得的成效和仍需持续改进的问题,用自身实践证明了ISO 9000质量管理体系标准是一种很好的质量管理方式,值得推广。     

细水雾对油池火热释放速率影响的初步研究

热释放速率是反映火场规模与发展的最重要的基础参数,利用ISO9705实验台进行细水雾灭火有效性的影响因素及相关机理研究,不仅能营造出一个真实的室内火灾环境,而且能够得到火场的热释放速率。对汽油池火的初步实验表明：热释放速率曲线能直接反映出细水雾对火源的作用;细水雾作用下燃烧总的热释放量减少很大;开启水雾的时间不同,细水雾对热释放速率峰值的削减程度不同。     

GB/T3216-2005回转动力泵性能判定条款的讨论

探讨了ISO 9906和GB/T3216-2005标准中有关流量、扬程和效率值以及NPSHR的判定问题.以标准中性能保证值判定为基础,分析了标准中性能满足的保证条件,分别提出了流量、扬程和效率值以及NPSHR的判定的数学表达式,解决了计算机辅助试验中计算机判定的技术难题.同时,比较了新、旧的判别方法,为进一步理解和贯彻实施这些标准将会起到积极作用.
