Multimodal spectroscopic imaging methods such as Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization Mass Spectrometry Imaging (MALDI MSI), Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and Raman spectroscopy were used to monitor the changes in distribution and to determine semi quantitatively selected metabolites involved in nitrogen fixation in pea root nodules. These approaches were used to evaluate the effectiveness of nitrogen fixation by pea plants treated with biofertilizer preparations containing Nod factors. To assess the effectiveness of biofertilizer, the fresh and dry masses of plants were determined. The biofertilizer was shown to be effective in enhancing the growth of the pea plants. In case of metabolic changes, the biofertilizer caused a change in the apparent distribution of the leghaemoglobin from the edges of the nodule to its centre (the active zone of nodule). Moreover, the enhanced nitrogen fixation and presumably the accelerated maturation form of the nodules were observed with the use of a biofertilizer. 相似文献

Gram‐negative bacteria communicate with one another using N‐acylhomoserine lactones (AHLs) as signaling molecules. This mechanism, known as quorum sensing (QS), is needed to develop pathogenicity, as well as symbiotic interactions with eukaryotic hosts, such as animals and plants. Increasing evidence indicates that certain bacteria, namely endobacteria, also inhabit fungal cells and establish symbiotic relationships with their hosts. However, it has not been clear whether bacterial QS acts in developing the relationships. Here we describe the isolation and identification of N‐heptanoylhomoserine lactone and N‐octanoylhomoserine lactone from the culture broth of the zygomycete fungus Mortierella alpina A‐178. This suggested the presence of endobacteria in the fungus, as was confirmed by PCR, fluorescence in situ hybridization, and transmission electron microscopy. Two major bands obtained by PCR‐denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis showed sequence identity to genes in the β‐proteobacterium Castellaniella defragrans (100 %) and the Gram‐positive bacterium Cryobacterium sp. (99.8 %). The production of AHLs depended on the presence of endobacteria and was induced in response to the increase in the concentration of AHLs, suggesting that the bacterium conducts AHL‐mediated QS in the fungus. This paper is the first to report the production of AHLs by endofungal bacteria and raises the possibility that QS plays roles in the development of fungus–endobacterium symbiosis. 相似文献

我国正处于城市化加速发展阶段,而城市圈是我国城市化发展的必经阶段,也是更高级的阶段。作为中部地区较有代表性的新兴城市圈--鄱阳湖城市圈的发展具有较强的研究意义。共生理论的本质是合作与协调,这与城市圈的发展理念是相吻合的。文章从共生理论的视角出发,首先对鄱阳湖城市圈共生现状进行了特征分析。然后,结合当前理论基础与鄱阳湖城市圈的实际情况构建了包含经济、社会、资源和环境4个子系统,21项指标的综合测度评价体系,并运用因子分析法计算出鄱阳湖城市圈所含的8个城市在各主成分上的得分以及综合得分。研究发现鄱阳湖城市圈存在发展不平衡、辐射范围小、规划整体性低、可持续发展意识地区差异大等问题。最后针对这些问题,从6个方面提出建议以推动鄱阳湖城市圈的可持续发展。 相似文献

In order to stabilize the global climate, the world's governments must make significant commitments to drastically reduce global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. One of the most promising methods of curbing GHG emissions is a world transition from fossil fuels to renewable sources of energy. Solar photovoltaic (PV) cells offer a technically sustainable solution to the projected enormous future energy demands. This article explores utilizing industrial symbiosis to obtain economies of scale and increased manufacturing efficiencies for solar PV cells in order for solar electricity to compete economically with fossil fuel-fired electricity. The state of PV manufacturing, the market and the effects of scale on both are reviewed. Government policies necessary to construct a multi-gigaWatt PV factory and complementary policies to protect existing solar companies are outlined and the technical requirements for a symbiotic industrial system are explored to increase the manufacturing efficiency while improving the environmental impact of PV. The results of the analysis show that an eight-factory industrial symbiotic system can be viewed as a medium-term investment by any government, which will not only obtain direct financial return, but also an improved global environment. The technical concepts and policy limitations to this approach were analyzed and it was found that symbiotic growth will help to mitigate many of the limitations of PV and is likely to catalyze mass manufacturing of PV by transparently demonstrating that large-scale PV manufacturing is technically feasible and reaches an enormous untapped market for PV with low costs. 相似文献
