Analysis of a Gyroscope＇s Rotor Nonlinear Supported Magnetic Field Based on the B-Spline Wavelet-FEM

A supported framework of a gyroscope＇s rotor is designed and the B-Spline wavelet finite element model of nonlinear supported magnetic field is worked out. A new finite element space is studied in which the scaling function of the B-spline wavelet is considered as the shape function of a tetrahedton. The magnetic field is spited by an artificial absorbing body which used the condition of field radiating, so the solution is unique. The resolution is improved via the varying gradient of the B-spline function under the condition of unchanging gridding. So there are some advantages in dealing with the focus flux and a high varying gradient result from a nonlinear magnetic field. The result is more practical. Plots of flux and in the space is studied via simulating the supported system model. The results of the study are useful in the research of the supported magnetic system for the gyroscope rotor.     

Magnetic Perovskite Superlattices Grown by Pulsed Laser Deposition

Magnetic multilayers of (SrRuO₃) _m (SrMnO₃) _n were grown artificially using the pulsed laser deposition technique on (001)-oriented SrTiO₃ substrates. The temperature and magnetic field dependent reisistivity of the superlattices consisting of ferromagnetic (FM) SrRuO₃ and antiferromagnetic (AFM) SrMnO₃ are studied as a function of the SrRuO₃ unit cells. We observed a pinned/biased moment instead of the biased field in the superlattices and we redefine the structure as AFM/FM(Pin)/FM(Free)/FM(Pin) units below a critical field.     

Magnetic Field Stabilization for Magnetically Shielded Volumes by External Field Coils

For highly sensitive magnetic measurements, e.g., a measurement of the neutron electric dipole moment (EDM), the magnetic field has to be stable in time on a level below picoTesla. One of several measures we employ to achieve this uses an external field coil system which can stabilize the ambient external field at a predefined value. Here we report on the construction and characterization of such a system in the magnetic test facility at PSI. The system actively stabilizes the field along the axis of the EDM experiment by means of four coils in a Helmholtz-like configuration. Additional coils serve to compensate for transverse ambient field components. Because of the long integration times in the EDM experiment (about 100 s or more) only slow disturbances have to be corrected for. The performance of the system has been measured using static and moving magnetic sources and suppression factors in excess of 200 have been observed.

Fusion Innovative Confinement Concepts: 2004

This paper summarizes recent progress in fusion Innovative Confinement Concepts (ICC) as reported at the 2004 ICC Workshop held May 25–28, 2004 in Madison, Wisconsin. This was the third in an annual series of workshops on this topic. The purpose of these workshops is to provide a forum for those who are thinking and working beyond what is considered to be the current state of understanding of fusion concepts.     

基于流场数值模拟的ADS靶件结构的设计优化

采用通用的计算流体力学（CFD）软件PHOENICS 3．3和BFC计算网格生产技术，对加速器驱动次临界系统（ADS）靶件的流场进行数值模拟计算。结果表明：束窗下方导流板起引导流体沿束窗表面流动的作用，消除了束窗两侧下方较大的旋涡，对于改善束窗附近流体的流动结构、提高束窗表面及散裂靶的换热，效果显著。

The Influence of Magnetic Permeability on the Configuration of magnetic Field in Helimak Device

The Helimak of USA is a plasma physics experimental device designed and built by CASIPP.Its configuration of magnetic field is of very importance during the operation of this device.In this paper,the influence of magnetic permeability on configuration of magnetic field will be discussed due to the effect of weld metal in the vacuum vessel of Helimak,and some conclusion is useful for some engineering designs of the fusion experimental device.     

大型水轮发电机引进灭磁装置存在问题的探讨

本通过对我国近年引进的大型水轮发电机组灭磁装置运行与实验情况的研究，认为有的引进设备无论设计参数的选择还是自身可靠性方面或多或少地存在一些问题，应给以足够重视，在总结的基础上提出解决机组灭磁可靠性的技术方向。     

Magnetization transfer with echo planar imaging

The aim of magnetization transfer is to saturate the protons of the macromolecule pool with a radiofrequency (RF) pulse leading to differences in free water pool signal. Magnetization transfer (MT) contrast is difficult to achieve with the echo planar imaging (EPI) technique, although its short acquisition time would be most beneficial. Indeed, the RF saturation pulses can only be applied once before sampling the whole k-space in a single-short sequence. A possible solution to improve the sensitivity of EPI to magnetization transfer consists in applying a train of several saturation RF pulses before image acquisition. The different parameters of a RF pulse train and their influence on the MT rate have been tested to optimize an EPI clinical sequence. Our experimental procedure makes it possible to obtain a MT map in about 1 second. The technique is evaluated by multiple sclerosis lesion characterization.
