Empty fruit bunch (EFB) is utilized to increase the CO2 capture capacity and cyclic stability of calcium oxide (CaO) prepared from cockle shells (CS). The cyclic reaction of calcination and carbonation reaction was performed in pure N2 environment and in the presence of CO2 in N2, respectively. The EFB in CS modified the pore structural properties, morphology, and composition of the pristine CaO. Higher EFB loading in CS reduced the CaO composition but improved the CO2 capture capacity and cyclic stability during cyclic CO2 capture. 相似文献

The use of metaheuristics for solving the Single-Item Dynamic Lot Sizing problem with returns and remanufacturing has increasingly gained research interest. Recently, preliminary experiments with Particle Swarm Optimization revealed that population-based algorithms can be competitive with existing state-of-the-art approaches. In the current work, we thoroughly investigate the performance of a very popular population-based algorithm, namely Differential Evolution (DE), on the specific problem. The most promising variant of the algorithm is experimentally identified and properly modified to further enhance its performance. Also, necessary modifications in the formulation of the corresponding optimization problem are introduced. The algorithm is applied on an abundant test suite employed in previous studies. Its performance is analyzed and compared with a state-of-the-art approach as well as with a previously investigated metaheuristic algorithm. The results suggest that specific DE variants can be placed among the most efficient approaches, thereby enriching the available algorithmic artillery for tackling the specific type of problems. 相似文献

Berlin-based practice Barkow Leibinger has become synonymous with expertise in digital fabrication. For 12 years, the firm has been engaged in designing buildings for machine-tool company Trumpf in Stuttgart - a relationship that has given the firm remarkable insights into the laser cutting of sheet metal. Here, Frank Barkow describes the fruitful research that the studio has undertaken in laser cutting as well as two innovative projects that have resulted from it. He explains why a new technology like that of digital fabrication must be for architects by necessity ‘a revolution of choice’ - a speculation on where best to exploit new possibilities, albeit informed by research and experimentation. To sustain a business, firms have to reposition empty containers from a surplus port to a port with a shortage and incur repositioning costs if the realized demands are unbalanced in the sea–cargo service chain. In this paper, we study a sea cargo service chain with one carrier and two forwarders providing transportation service between two ports, and there are potential demands for transportation services in both directions. We built a mathematical model to study how the carrier and forwarders determine pricing and empty equipment repositioning (hereafter EER) decisions. We find that whether or not the carrier and forwarders use pricing policies to balance the cargo demands depends on the potential demand imbalance volume between two ports. We also investigate the EER sharing strategy on whether to share the EER cost or undertake it solely. It is found that there exists a threshold, and when the EER cost is beyond the threshold value, the carrier assumes all of the repositioning costs; otherwise, the forwarder assumes all of the repositioning costs. Lastly, we study a subsidy contract between both forwarders and expand to study an EER sharing mode between the carrier and both forwarders. 相似文献

Existing conceptualizations of projects as temporary organizations capture their interorganizational facets only implicitly. We present theoretical ideas on how to further conceptualize the interorganizational dimension in line with recent developments in the field of managing interorganizational relations. Towards this end, we will recapitulate the present state of theorizing projects as temporary organizations. Then we will highlight the increasing importance of what is called “interorganizational projects” (IOPs). After having described the phenomenon and spread of IOPs, we will discuss how the interorganizational dimension may be theorized. We conclude this article by introducing three facets of analyzing IOPs that help to advance the theory of the temporary organization – namely the multi-level perspective, the processual understanding of relationships, and modes of interorganizational governance. 相似文献

人类免疫缺陷病毒(human immunodeficiency virus,HIV)感染靶细胞需要识别细胞表面CD4分子及其辅助受体,C-C趋化因子受体5 (C-C chemokine receptor type 5,CCR5)和C-X-C趋化因子受体4 (C-X-C-motif receptor 4,CXCR4)是HIV识别靶细胞的两种重要辅助受体。CCR5Δ32基因突变使得HIV无法识别CCR5受体,从而阻止嗜CCR5的HIV病毒株入侵靶细胞。"柏林病人"和"伦敦病人"正是利用这一原理,通过移植携带纯合子CCR5Δ32突变基因的异基因骨髓,实现了停用抗病毒药物后病毒无反弹的目标,故而被誉为HIV感染"治愈"案例。然而,这一成功是否存在偶然性?事实上,人群中携带CCR5Δ32纯合子基因突变概率极低、异基因骨髓配型十分困难、骨髓移植医疗费用昂贵、移植后HIV病毒株嗜性迁移等客观因素的存在,使得通过携带纯合子CCR5Δ32基因突变异基因骨髓移植法实现HIV感染者停用抗病毒药物且保持病毒不反弹的目标困难重重。因此,"柏林病人"和"伦敦病人"的成功经验为治疗HIV感染提供了新的方向和希望,但如认为HIV感染已被"治愈"为时尚早,需进一步研究证实。 相似文献
