A set of high-performance Level 3 BLAS structured and tuned for the IBM 3090 VF and implemented in Fortran 77

Fortran 77 implementations of the Level 3 Basic Linear Algebra Subprograms (BLAS) in double precision, structured and tuned to achieve high performance on the IBM 3090 VF, are presented. The implementations are designed to exploit the memory hierarchy and the vector processor efficiently. Efficient cache reuse is provided by a method for matrix blocking adapted to the memory hierarchy. Vector registers and compound vector instructions are used efficiently through carefully designed Fortran code constructs. Performance results generally show speed comparable to the highly tuned IBM ESSL library. In some cases our implementations are actually faster than ESSL. The generality of the program design and the use of Fortran 77 make the implementations portable and well suited to serve as design platforms for other machines with similar architectures.     

A note on a punched-card method for the solution of the chi-square contingency table.

目的:以优化黔产宽叶缬草根挥发油提取工艺为例,详细介绍如何利用IBM SPSS Statistics 19.0软件设计挥发油提取工艺实验和对实验数据进行统计分析的方法。方法:根据实验因素水平,利用IBM SPSS Statistics 19.0生成正交实验设计表,通过调整得到标准的正交实验设计表;将正交实验的结果输入到调整后的正交实验设计表中,分析并可得到正交实验方差表和单因素统计量表,从而得到实验的最优化提取工艺条件。结果:通过使用和比较发现,IBM SPSS Statistics 19.0软件使用简便快捷,计算精确且结论可靠,并能避免大量人工计算,缩短了完成化学实验研究的时间,提高了实验的科学性。结论:IBM SPSS Statistics19.0软件值得在挥发油提取工艺优化中应用和推广。     

透过专利看微处理器的技术发展（五）——浅谈主要专利权人技术发展

本文在调研大量专利文献的基础上,通过跟踪微处理器的主要专利权人IBM、Intel和AMD在中国的微处理器专利,研究其不同时期技术重点,明确其技术发展历程。同时从技术分布、典型芯片结构对比、专利申请增长率以及法律状态几个方面分析了微处理器的专利技术演进,并分析近期专利技术的特征,以及技术要素的变化,分析各厂商的专利技术现状,预测发展方向,为新产品开发计划提供线索。     

Experience in design and implementation of an IGES translator

This paper describes a general design concept for an IGES translator. The design allows implementation of IGES translators for different CAD/CAM systems with a minimum of programming effort. It divides the functions of an IGES translator into two categories: those common to implementations of an IGES translator, and those specific to the target system. Allowing user interactions to control entity mappings, the design adds user flexibility to an IGES translator. Different results that can be created for an IGES file are shown and discussed, using a sample implementation.

In adapting the system to the needs of the Mathematics Project of the Committee on Programmed Instruction at Harvard University, the present author devised a system which eliminates a particular indexing problem as well as Broadhurst's system. Software specification using the special language

This paper presents a tutorial overview of special, a formal specification and assertion language created by SRI International as part of their hierarchical design methodology. The language is based on a formal model of system behavior and is supported by language processors that assist in the interactive development of specifications. special is a strongly typed language that models data and programs as abstract resources known as objects. Collections of modules known as abstract machines are the major building blocks of a software specification in special. The technical foundations of special and the components of a special specification are described. A sample specification is detailed in an appendix.     

IBM PC／XT硬盘故障软件诊断

本文简要地介绍了IBM PC/XT的硬盘工作原理和硬盘ROM BIOS,对硬盘故障信息进行了详尽的分析。在叙述了几种常用的硬盘故障诊断方法后,提出了硬盘故障诊断的另外两种方法,即小程序法和大程序法,并给出了诊断实例。在分析了硬盘ROM BIOS和硬盘控制命令的基础上,开发了一个硬盘故障诊断系统MHDTEST,该系统能反映硬盘故障的详尽信息,指出故障原因,确定故障位置,操作简便。文中还对硬盘诊断程序MHDTEST作了介绍。
