运用内容分析法,对2013年《人民日报》及＂@人民日报＂进行研究,分析了两者在媒介组织的控制机制、新闻内容的选择机制以及新闻话语的表达机制等三个层面的异同,认为：＂@人民日报＂新闻网比《人民日报》有了一定程度的扩展,新闻话语机制得到转变以适应网络语境,但仍坚守主流价值观,引导舆论。     

Software complexity and software maintenance: A survey of empirical research

A number of empirical studies have pointed to a link between software complexity and software maintenance performance. The primary purpose of this paper is to document what is known about this relationship, and to suggest some possible future avenues of research. In particular, a survey of the empirical literature in this area shows two broad areas of study: complexity metrics and comprehension. Much of the complexity metrics research has focused on modularity and structure metrics. The articles surveyed are summarized as to major differences and similarities in a set of detailed tables. The text is used to highlight major findings and differences, and a concluding remarks section provides a series of recommendations for future research.     

Machine learning models for credit analysis improvements: Predicting low-income families’ default

The main objective of this study is to investigate the behaviour of default prediction models based on credit scoring methods and computational techniques with machine learning algorithms. The predictive capabilities of the models were compared to identify default-prediction mechanisms in the “My Home, My Life” Program (Programa “Minha Casa, Minha Vida” — PMCMV). The PMCMV is one of the largest government initiatives in the world to finance home ownership in the low-income population. Implemented by the Brazilian government, the programme has provided financing in excess of USD 84 billion and by 2016 had already contracted for the construction of over 4.5 million housing units, with 3.3 million units already delivered. The models developed in this study involve different time intervals for default prediction as well as analysis without the use of traditional discriminatory variables (gender, age, and marital status). Three measurements were used to evaluate the quality of the prediction models: area under the ROC curve, the Kolmogorov–Smirnov index, and the Brier score. The results indicated that (1) the accuracy of the models improves as the number of days overdue used to define the default variable increases; (2) the best prediction results were obtained with traditional ensemble techniques — in this case Bagging (BG), Random Forest (RF), and Boosting; and (3) there was a negative impact on all criteria when a smaller number of observations was used, especially on the type II error. It was also found that the discriminatory power of the credit risk rating system is preserved when removing discriminatory variables from the models. Applying the BG algorithm, which is the best prediction method, a default rate of 11.80% could be reduced to 2.95%, which leads to a selection that would result in 197,905 fewer delinquent contracts in the PMCMV, thus representing a savings of approximately USD 3.0 billion in credit losses.

Turkish Cypriot Mufti Struggle in the Media

The aim of this article is to provide information on the struggle to re-establish the Mufti of Cyprus, （abolished in 1928 by the British colonial government） in the context of the power of Turkish society media which began to be emphasized and highlighted in the pages of ＂Halkin Sesi＂ （People＇s Voice） and ＂lstiklal＂ （Independence） newspapers first with articles to emphasize the importance of Muftis Struggle. Communication, which is one of the most essential properties in a society, is the key to inculcate the idea of social solidarity into people. The most important media of the period was the print press and this study examines its contributions to social solidarity of the community during British Period in Cyprus. During this period, the two most influential news paper ＂Halkln Sesi＂ and ＂lstiklal＂ and their communicational skills had countless effects on community and social solidarity. In this study, these effects and influences over a specific struggle are examined and interpreted. With this study, it is concluded that these two newspapers had very big impacts on the media of that period and they had really important contributions on the Mufti struggle of the community.     

Understanding people motion in video sequences using Voronoi diagrams

This work describes a model for understanding people motion in video sequences using Voronoi diagrams, focusing on group detection and classification. We use the position of each individual as a site for the Voronoi diagram at each frame, and determine the temporal evolution of some sociological and psychological parameters, such as distance to neighbors and personal spaces. These parameters are used to compute individual characteristics (such as perceived personal space and comfort levels), that are analyzed to detect the formation of groups and their classification as voluntary or involuntary. Experimental results based on videos obtained from real life as well as from a crowd simulator were analyzed and discussed.
