A growing number of software developers use standards as a basis for their quality systems. Some of them go one step further and have their quality systems certified. Do psychology students view their training programs as doing enough to appropriately identify, accommodate, and possibly dismiss students who manifest significant impairment? This study reports the general findings of an exploratory survey distributed to clinical psychology graduate students. Overall, students viewed impairment as a highly sensitive and inadequately addressed issue. Students commonly reported frustration with and concern for impaired colleagues. A few respondents indicated that the terms impaired and problem student were insensitive and that greater attention needed to be given to "impaired" training contexts. The paper aims to provide a source of information regarding the measurement of physical quantities, specifically those related to mechanical metrology. Since there is a lack of literature reviews referencing patents as a way of gathering useful information, we performed a systematic search for patents that could solve practical problems in this field. The methodology used focused on one of the most comprehensive patent database, Orbit.com, covering about 70,000,000 documents. This text gives a quick look at the fundamentals of the measurement literature and then points out the state-of-the-art concerning patents in the area of study. Additionally, data analysis shows the trends in the last five decades of patents about the subject. In total, 5686 documents are found and we compiled 10 examples of relevant patents for the quantities Length, Temperature and Mass, making this article a source of information for both scientific and non-scientific metrology community. 相似文献

Measuring 3D micro-features is a challenging task that is usually performed using high-cost systems generally based on technologies with narrow working ranges and very accurate control of the sensor positions. Well-known image analysis methods, such as Photogrammetry, would likely lower the costs of 3D inspection of micro-features and add texture information to the 3D models; however, the behaviour of Photogrammetry is strongly affected by the scaling method because it retrieves a model that must be scaled after its computation. In this paper, an experimental study of the validity of a hybrid 3D image processing method for measuring micro-features is presented. This method exploits the Depth-from-Focus method to retrieve the correct scale for a photogrammetric model. The measurement of properly-designed and manufactured specimens was performed by following and adapting the German guideline VDI/VDE 2634, Part 3 to validate the method using calibrated specimens.
