There is growing interest in understanding how emotion regulation affects adaptation. The present study examined expressive suppression (which involves inhibiting the overt expression of emotion) and how it affects a critical domain of adaptation, social functioning. This investigation focused on the transition to college, a time that presents a variety of emotional and social challenges. Analyses focused on 2 components of suppression: a stable component, representing individual differences expressed both before and after the transition, and a dynamic component, representing variance specific to the new college context. Both components of suppression predicted lower social support, less closeness to others, and lower social satisfaction. These findings were robustly corroborated across weekly experience reports, self-reports, and peer reports and are consistent with a theoretical framework that defines emotion regulation as a dynamic process shaped by both stable person factors and environmental demands. The Dyadic Adjustment Scale (DAS; G. B. Spanier, 1976) is the most widely used inventory of relationship satisfaction in the social sciences, yet the question of whether it is measuring the same concept in men and women has never been addressed. In the current study, the authors examined the factor structure of the DAS in a sample of 900 currently married couples who participated in the Minnesota Twin Family Study. Confirmatory factor analysis was applied to a second-order factor solution with Spanier’s four factors (Dyadic Consensus, Dyadic Satisfaction, Dyadic Cohesion, Affectional Expression) loading on one higher order factor (Relationship Adjustment), to test for measurement invariance across gender. The second-order solution was relatively invariant across gender, even when taking into account the nonindependent nature of the data. This suggests that the best conceptualization of the DAS is one of a gender-invariant measure of marital adjustment with four distinct subfactors and that differences between men and women on any of these constructs can be interpreted by both clinicians and researchers as true mean differences rather than measurement bias. There is a need to explore the actual uptake of specification options by clients in the context of the self-build housing industry. In so doing all the components in a house that can be customized were categorized so as to highlight the features that must be customizable and those that can be standardized. Through a longitudinal study of a German house builder, data from 16 projects over a 35-year time horizon have been collected. The extent of choice made in these projects has been determined by comparing the original standard building specification with the actual finalized fit-out specification of the project. In scrutinizing the collected data it became apparent that the number of changes made by the clients increased considerably over the timespan studied. More importantly, clients appreciated the freedom of choice as they were prepared to spend increasing amounts on customization. In particular specification options were made in the sanitary, internal design and façade categories. Moreover the results revealed that offering a high degree of choice is appropriate for most, but not all, components for the case house builder. Key areas for choice include those relating to sanitary ware and the façade.  相似文献

大规模定制运用于生产时,定制程度可作为功能的个性化程度.从制造设计的角度来看,定制化产品的类设计参数与类功能需求间存在映射关系,而类功能需求可由定制程度予以表达后进行加权评分;从顾客认可和销售利润来看,顾客对定制化产品的认可可借以顾客满意度来反应,如果针对具体的产品,顾客满意度和产品销售利润均可找到以定制程度为变量的拟合函数.因此,在追求类功能需求评分、顾客满意度和利润函数值尽可能高的目的下,可以求出定制程度的最优解.  相似文献

城市历史街区的发展模式选择是城市的重要问题,新公共服务中公民满意度测量及评价逐渐被强调,旧有的发展导向及政策模式也亟需重新审视。本研究立足于上海的实证案例构造居民居住满意度模型,通过主成分分析、建立回归模型等方法分析居民对街区政策评价与其居住满意度之间的相关性,并通过横向对比分析出关键因素。研究发现动迁与保护政策对于改善城市历史街区的作用已经减退,相反治理与参与的改善对于提升居民居住满意度并最终促进街区发展作用显著,据此建议城市历史街区的发展必须重视治理方式的转变以及参与水平的提高。  相似文献

目的 探讨中国传统地区刺绣产品如何实现更高的消费者满意度,并为该产品如何实现更多元化的顾客感受提出创新设计的建议。方法 围绕消费者需求偏好,综合采用田野调查、亲和图法、问卷调查法,并结合使用Kano模型、Better-Worse系数、四象限分析法,以及其他相关研究方法,从产品设计、产品生产、产品性能、产品文化四个需求纬度出发,全面准确地把握消费者对刺绣产品的需求。结果 消费者更加看重产品本身的文化属性和产品所提供的优质服务,同时消费者对服务的感受和满足程度会受到一些因素的影响,如绣活文化的保留程度,或是否有独特的个人定制体系。结论 通过Kano模型和亲和图法了解了消费者的真实需求,并且能够更好地实现这些需求。这种方式不仅能够增强消费者的满意度,实现区域特色刺绣产品的传播与普及,也为地域性刺绣产品设计提供了新思路。  相似文献

Thermal comfort influences occupant satisfaction, well-being and productivity in built environments. Several decisions during the design stage (e.g., heating, ventilation, air conditioning design, color and placement of furniture, etc.) impact the building occupants’ thermoception (i.e., the sense by which animals perceive the temperature of the environment and their body). However, understanding the influence of design decisions on occupant behavior is not always feasible due to the resources needed for creating physical testbeds and the need for controlling several contributing factors to comfort and satisfaction. Virtual environments (environments created with virtual reality technology) are novel venues for studying human behavior. However, in order to use virtual environments in the thermoception domain, validation of these environments as adequate representations of physical environments (built environments) is imperative. As the first step towards this goal, we benchmarked virtual environments to physical environments under different thermal stimuli (i.e., hot and cold indoor air temperature). We identified perceived thermal comfort and satisfaction, perceived indoor air temperature, number and type of interactions as markers for the thermoceptive comparison of virtual and physical offices. We conducted an experiment with 56 participants and pursued a systematic statistical analysis. The results show that virtual environments are adequate representations of physical environments in the thermoception domain, especially for subjective perceived thermal comfort and satisfaction assessment. We also found that the type of first adaptive interactions could be used as the markers of thermoception in virtual environments.  相似文献

Multicriteria decision-making problems have been applied to many applications for its practicality. Nevertheless, when the evaluated satisfactions are more complex, such as interval-valued distributions, how to reasonably obtain the aggregation results of alternatives is still an open issue. In this paper, an interval-valued exceedance method is proposed to solve such a question based on the Golden Rule representative value and probabilistic exceedance method. Due to good performance of expressing uncertain information, the Golden Rule representative value method is used to order interval-valued satisfactions after an effective normalization process. In addition, a quantifier-based ordered weighted averaging operator is also introduced to consider the preferences of decision makers. A realistic application of supplier selection is shown to illustrate the practicality of the proposed method.  相似文献

Since new product development (NPD) collaborations with external partners have become the next generation in NPD practices, relationship promoters have become especially relevant as key contributors to the success of this type of inter-organisational collaboration. To realise successful outcomes in NPD collaborations, partners face the challenge of effectively integrating the role of relationship promoter into their existing and essential relationships of trust. It is within this context that this paper examines the role of the relationship promoter, by analysing its moderating effect on the relationship between trust and the outcomes of NPD collaboration – including new product competitiveness and partner satisfaction. We test our hypotheses against survey data from 107 innovative firms involved in NPD collaboration with the help of relationship promoters. The results show that, while a non-significant influence can be reported about the presence of a relationship promoter in terms of partner satisfaction, the relationship promotor weakens the influence of trust on new product competitiveness, making trust less important when it comes to creating a competitive new product.  相似文献
