Corrosion damage at storage tanks for salt brine A tank made of stainless steel type X2CrNiMo17‐12‐2 for intermediate storage of salt brine for cheese production revealed significant pitting corrosion effects shortly after commissioning although comparable units have shown positive long‐term behaviour. By means of electrochemical laboratory tests it could be demonstrated that the observed pitting corrosion was caused by the use of an oxidizing agent for desinfection purposes.

Structural Reliability Assessment of Damaged Reinforced Concrete Bridges on the Basis of the Results from a Bridge Inspection The regular bridge inspection is of high importance for the reliable use of the infrastructure. This paper describes and explains a method with supports the engineers of a bridge inspection in the assessment of the damaged bridges during or directly after the inspection. Based on this initial estimate the urgent measures i.e. a lower permitted bridge class can still be carried out before more detailed inspections and calculations have been done. The reliability analyses for the damaged bridges are carried out using first order and second order reliability method (FORM and SORM). The probability of failure, p_f or the safety index, of the system respectively are the main results of the calculation procedure. This paper shows the approach and the application with an example. Particularly in the communal sector the method can be helpful, because it can not be assumed that in all cases the regular bridge inspections and the appropriate maintenance have been carried out.     

Safeguarding and retrofitting works at the UNESCO World Heritage Site Takht‐e Soleyman,Iran

This article reports on the works safeguard in 2016 to secure the UNESCO World Heritage Site at Takht‐e Soleyman in the province of West Azerbaijan in the northwest of Iran. The site includes a fire temple and dates back to the sixth century AD. The complex was transformed by the Ilkhanids in the 13th century with extensive repair and building measures. From the 15th century, the complex was abandoned and decayed. In the 1970s, the north wall of the Western Eivan was first secured with steel scaffolding. The Chair of Structural design at the TU Dresden undertook works in 2016 to stabilise the Western Eivan in collaboration with the Iranian cultural heritage organisation (ICHHTO) and with financial support from the cultural maintenance programme of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany. The preliminary investigations until now and the work to the structure planned for 2018 are described below.

该厂由于过磷酸钙扩产,化成室负荷增大而引起氟气外溢和切削器断轴事故。经采取加大主轴直径、加大排风机风量等措施后,故障不再发生,过磷酸钙生产能力稳定提高,环境污染得到有效控制。
