Manufacturing and structural safety evaluation of a composite train carbody

This paper explains the manufacturing process of a composite train carbody with a sandwich composite structure for bodyshell and a stainless steel structure for the under frame. In addition, the structural behavior and safety of the composite carbody of the Korean tilting train was investigated by the static load tests. From the test results, the stiffness of the composite carbody met the specified design. In the aspect of strength, the maximum stress of the composite bodyshell was of 12.2% of strength of CF1263 carbon/epoxy.     

Development of intelligent multisensor surveillance systems with agents

Intelligent multisensor surveillance systems consist of several types of sensors, which are installed on fixed and mobile devices. These components provide a huge quantity of information that has to be contrasted, correlated and integrated in order to recognize and react on special situations. These systems work in highly dynamic environments, with severe security and robustness requirements. All these characteristics imply the need for distributed solutions. In these solutions, scattered components can decide and act with some degree of autonomy (for instance, if they become isolated), or cooperate and coordinate for a complete tracking of special situations. In order to cope with these requirements and to better structure the solution, we have decided to design surveillance system control as a multiagent system. This is done by applying an agent-orientated methodology, which is assessed with concrete scenarios.     

Assessing pre- and post-deformation in the southern Arava Valley segment of the Dead Sea Transform, Israel by differential interferometry

Differential radar interferometry, using archived ERS data over the region of the Dead Sea Transform, allows to detect ground movement (subsidence or uplift) in playas within the southern Arava Valley segment of the Dead Sea Rift. These measurements are consistent with a mean displacement rate of about 0.4 cm/month, in the direction of the radar beam, during the 8-month period preceding the Nuweiba earthquake of 22 November 1995. In the 3 years following the earthquake, the measured rate was smaller by a factor of 10. These movements are not related to salt diapirs or water pumping activities in the area. The exact location, along faults, suggests a possible correlation with pre-seismic and post-seismic fault deformation.A simple fault model consistent with the observed phenomena associates the observed subsidence/uplift to right and left stepping en-echelon fault patterns related to inter-seismic tensional accumulation along the faults. Further observations are necessary on this site and similar fault areas to corroborate the correlation between seismic activity and the observed phenomena. Monitoring of these sites should continue with differential Global positioning system (GPS) measurements and radar interferometric analysis using Envisat and Radarsat as well as archived data (including J-ERS).

Step response classification for model-based autotuning via polygonal curve approximation

A model-based autotuning method consists of an identification and a regulator tuning phase. To achieve satisfactory performance and robustness, it is advisable that both phases be tailored a priori to the characteristics of the observed process dynamics. Such characteristics include, but are not limited to, the model structure. For example, overdamped and underdamped models with the same pole-zero structure are parametrised and controlled in different ways. Step response data, that are typically used for the identification phase in the autotuning context, can also be pre-processed to reveal those characteristics. This paper presents a step response classification method suitable for the above purpose. The method is based on a polygonal curve approximation technique for data pre-processing, followed by a neural network classifier. Only normalised I/O data are employed, so that the neural network can be trained off-line with simulated data. Simulation results are reported to show the effectiveness of the proposed classification method in terms of the achievable tuning results.

三钢烧结厂130m^2烧结机电除尘输灰首次采用了气力输送系统。该系统由气源、输送、管路、灰库及控制五部分组成，本文介绍了系统的工作原理及运行调试情况。系统投产后，运行平稳，达到了设计要求。

Ergodicity of filtering process by vanishing discount approach

A new approach to study ergodicity of filtering processes is presented. It is based on the vanishing discount approach to discounted functional of filtering process. We show that limit superior of the Cesaro averages of the functionals is the same for all initial conditions from which the uniqueness of invariant measures of filtering processes follows. The approach is based on certain assumption for which we provide a sufficient condition using concavity arguments. In addition we show the existence of solutions to the Poisson equation corresponding to filtering process with concave functional. The assumptions are then extended to the controlled case and using similar concave arguments we obtain the existence of solutions to the Bellman equation corresponding to partially observed average cost per unit time problem.

设计一条钢筋网自动化焊接生产线，包括经料送料平台、纬料自动分料及上料机构、多点电阻点焊机、接料平台、卸料机械手。从上料到出料依靠电机、汽缸之间的协调工作来实现。并由单片机和PLC实现控制功能，上位机用MCGS组态软件在整个过程监视现场，采集工作状态及参数，起到监控作用。
