目前人们面临的网络安全问题越来越严峻，不仅包括计算机病毒、垃圾电子邮件等的挑战，对信息资源的有效存取保护要求也在提高。身份管理技术能对用户身份标识进行集中与简化管理，实现安全、简便登录等功能，不但削减了投入和维护成本，还提高了效率，因此近来得到迅速发展。2003年的调查显示，身份管理在安全产品市场增幅达45％；在各企业应用普及率已达到17.9％。但身份管理还需要解决提高单点登录安全性，实施多方可靠数字身份以及本身复杂性等问题。

A Relational Model of Workplace Victimization: Social Roles and Patterns of Victimization in Dyadic Relationships.

This article proposes a model of the ways in which dyadic interactions between employees who occupy 1 of 4 archetypal social roles in organizations can lead to either episodic or institutionalized patterns of victimization. The model shows how the occurrence of victimization involving these 4 role types is influenced by organizational variables such as power differences, culture, and access to social capital. The model integrates behavioral and social structural antecedents of victimization to develop a relational perspective on the dynamics of harmful behavior in the workplace. Sociotechnical systems, risk management, and public health: comparing the North Battleford and Walkerton outbreaks

Accidents in different complex sociotechnical systems are rarely compared using the same theoretical framework for risk management. We conducted a comparative analysis of two Canadian public health disasters involving drinking water distribution systems, the North Battleford Cryptosporidium parvum outbreak in April 2001 and the Walkerton E. coli outbreak in May 2000. Both accidents resulted from a complex interaction between all levels of a complex sociotechnical system. However, the low-level physical and individual factors differed in the two cases, whereas, the high-level governmental and regulatory factors tended to be the same. These findings may have implications for the design of public policies to minimize risk in complex sociotechnical systems.

Interoperability issues in heterogeneous network management

The presence of dissimilar network models and standards necessitates interoperability as a means of achieving ubiquitous connectivity and management. The primary focus of this paper is to identify interoperability issues, independent of the network management model, which form the basis for developing interworking paradigms. Network Management and Interoperability related concepts and terminology are introduced and a generic network management framework is presented. Based on the generic framework, interoperability issues for developing paradigms are identified systematically. Different paradigms for interoperability are described and compared. The techniques used by these paradigms in addressing the issues identified are discussed.
