基于聋人案例的空间隐喻语义认知计算

我们从心理语言学的角度,对空间隐喻进行相似性分类和计算,使用多维量表和聚类方法,以聋人为被试分别进行了两个实验。实验结果表明,聋人为实现空间隐喻理解的计算,使用了地形空间和语法空间的特征信息,同时受手语语言特点的影响,其空间隐喻的认知主题包括手势者自身参照系、参照物的相对坐标系、手势空间的饱和度、以手部或胸部为边界。同时表明由于两种空间的存在,聋人大脑对空间隐喻的理解存在着层次,并且在长期使用手语交流的过程中,其地形空间和语法空间相互作用,影响了聋人大脑空间隐喻的结构和表征,从而导致了独特的高效快速空间隐喻计算。
     

现代平面广告造型元素由直白表现到婉转传达——隐喻广告的出现和成熟

在现代平面广告造型元素表现的发展与演变过程中,最不容忽视的就是广告作品由基础阶段的直白表现发展到了婉转传达的更高层次。隐喻广告异军突起,成为有效的传播手段。隐喻广告想走的更远,还需从业人员提升驾驭设计的能力,在造型元素的应用原理理论上做深度研究,在更广泛和更紧密的专业领域汲取营养,并且在广告学理论诉诸隐喻广告设计实践方面做些有效的探索。     

广告视觉隐喻的符号意义生成机制

目的解析广告视觉隐喻的符号运作机制与组合方式。方法以符号意义的生成理论为原点,以索绪尔符号的价值理论为方法,分析广告聚合段上的符号关系与视觉隐喻修辞的内在联系,提出意义二元值的同向替代机制,以及广告视觉隐喻符号的组合方式。结论广告视觉隐喻是通过聚合段上的符号互相替代而形成的,其符号组合有本体融入喻体、喻体融入本体、本喻体互融3种模式。     

多模态隐喻视角下的产品设计理论方法研究

目的研究多模态隐喻在产品设计中的设计方法。方法归纳多模态隐喻在产品设计中的表现形式,深入分析其在产品设计中的创建机制与方法。结论提出以产品图像、动作、声音、空间为元素的多模式的产品设计创建方法。     

METAPHOR RECOGNITION: CHMETA, A PATTERN-BASED SYSTEM

Metaphor recognition presents a computational challenge, in part due to metaphoric deviation from literal thinking, and also because of a metaphor's various linguistic expressions. This article forwards a new computational method, an integrated treatment of metaphor recognition from the computational perspective, which recent related studies have not entirely addressed. The authors differentiate metaphor recognition from complex metaphor inference and interpretation employing psychological clues. To accomplish this, we have developed a formalized system of metaphorical expression in metaphor role dependency schema, which specifically defines, classifies, and quantifies metaphorical anomalies, building a computable classification system for metaphors (incorporating 32 major patterns of metaphorical expressions) by providing a strategy to locate potential metaphorical anomalies in a target input sentence through a pattern recognition method and a metaphor components' tagging approach. This metaphor recognition and tagging system is named and implemented as "CHMeta." Experiment results support the validity and efficiency of this metaphor recognition system. Compared with most metaphor computation systems, which work mainly on a few examples, this system classifies major metaphorical expressions from a computational perspective and is able to recognize a variety of different kinds of metaphors, including nested ones. Thus, this is the first integrated work in computable classification, recognition, and tagging of large-scale metaphors in Chinese.     

汉语名词的隐喻知识表示及获取研究

隐喻知识的表示和获取是进行隐喻计算的基础。该文把隐喻知识看作是本体和喻体的特征和属性之间的关联。主要通过惯用语导入和句法模式识别两种机制,来获取名词的隐喻知识。惯用语的隐喻比较固定和单一,从专门的词典释义中就能获取准确的隐喻特征和属性。而一般名词的隐喻知识比较复杂,该文主要依托语料库和搜索引擎,通过关键词和句法匹配来获取同一名词不同的隐喻特征及对应属性。该项工作的结果,对隐喻句隐喻意义的获取和名词语义属性特征的描述体系构建具有一定的价值。

Aim4GDI: Facilitating the Synthesis of GDI Resources through Mapping and Superimpositions of Metadata Summaries

In the world of geospatial data infrastructures, geoportals are developed to facilitate access and use of geospatial resources, including data. The design and implementation of effective and efficient geoportals are becoming crucial. Providing possibilities for users to organize and integrate available resources can arguably enhance the process of data discovery and spatial analysis required, and hence, is the focus of this paper. We argue that the synthesis of summaries of distributed datasets, map and feature services through the geoportal can present a coherent view to support data discovery. For this purpose, the atlas metaphor is used as an indexing server and integration interface of summaries. Thematic maps and a storyteller view are accessible through the atlas metaphor. They can be used to provide a supporting context for data discovery and access purposes.

Assessing two new wearable input paradigms: The Finger-Joint-Gesture palm-keypad glove and the invisible phone clock

Text and digit entry speed of two wearable one-handed input paradigms, the Finger-Joint-Gesture palm-keypad glove and the Invisible Phone Clock, were benchmarked against traditional one-handed cellular phone keypad input in a repeated-measurement design employing 18 subjects using a 9-word sentence. No significant difference in error-corrected text entry speed (5.3 ec-wpm) was found. Digit entry speed was significantly faster (8.3 ec-wpm) and differed significantly between input paradigms. Furthermore, digit entry was fastest for the traditional cellular phone keypad and slowest for the Invisible Clock keypad. A prediction model based on Fitts' law slightly overestimated text entry speed for novice users. Another prediction model, where each movement time between successive keys was corrected for key repeat time for each specific input paradigm, predicted the experimental results more accurately. Thirteen of the subjects ranked the Invisible Phone Clock as 1^st choice. The subjects' mapping of the Ericsson cellular phone functions (YES, CLR, NO, <,> and Address Book) was not according to the designer's model, partly due to functional fixedness. The input paradigms could be suitable candidates for new fragmentised interfaces where wearability is the key issue.
