Science in High Magnetic Fields: What Could Be Learned?

High magnetic fields are one of the most powerful tools available to scientists for the study, modification and control of matter. This includes the knowledge on correlations effects, interaction mechanisms, structural information and understanding of mesoscopic effects. In this context, a review of recent scientific achievements at the Grenoble High Magnetic Laboratory is given to illustrate, on specific examples, the power of the Magnetic Field probe.     

Computational analysis of thin coating layer failure using a cohesive model and gradient plasticity

Thermal barrier coatings (TBC) are widely used to prevent transient high temperature attack and allow components high durability. Due to strong inhomogeneous material properties the TBC failure often initiates near the interface between the brittle oxide layer and the ductile substrate. A reliable prediction of the TBC failure requires detailed information about the crack tip field and the consequent fracture criteria. In the present paper both cohesive model and gradient plasticity are used to simulate the failure process and to study interdependence of the interface stress distribution with the specific fracture energies. Computations confirm that combination of the two models is able to simulate different failure mechanisms in the TBC system. The computational model has the potential to give a realistic prediction of the crack propagation process.     

堆石料与基岩面直剪试验

介绍了堆石料与基岩面的现场直剪试验方法，6个组次的直剪试验结果表明，堆石料与基岩面的抗剪强度指标随基岩面坚硬度的增大而增加，并随基岩面粗糙度的加大而加大。     

胶性材料在混凝土坝裂缝处理中的应用

介绍了观音阁坝被埋水下6年越冬停浇面水平裂缝采用“粘贴T1密封胶及表面粘三元乙丙后锚固”的处理方案。结果表明,利用胶性材料处理运行中的重力坝迎水面裂缝,技术可靠,方法简单,经济合理。     

洪家渡水电站工程高边坡综述

乌江洪家渡水电站坝址河谷深切300余m,硬质岩与软质岩相间分布,岸坡地形陡峻,软弱夹层发育,卸荷、崩塌等物理地质作用强烈。根据坝址地质条件与电站枢纽布置,工程存在:隧洞群进水口同向高边坡整体稳定问题;坝肩开挖、隧洞进出口开挖、厂房开挖及料场开挖等高边坡稳定问题;泄洪冲刷及雾化区1号、2号塌滑体高边坡稳定问题;王家渡堆料场、瓦房寨砂石系统高边坡稳定问题。因此,工程高边坡稳定问题是本工程的主要工程问题之一,但通过参建各方共同努力,本工程高边坡处理都取得了圆满成功。     

WPAN/WLAN应用环境下基于PER的链路自适应算法

本文重点研究基于包错误率测量的链路自适应算法，分析了包错误率与信道参数的关系，提出了一种有别于固定门限值方案的优化门限值方案。仿真结果表明，优化门限值方案的网络吞吐量要大于固定门限值方案和基于信干比估计的链路自适应算法，最大增幅可达12Mbit/s。在系统引入重传机制后，网络吞吐量将有所损失，但最大不超过1Mbit/s，相比较服务质量的提高是值得的。需指出的是，虽然分析和仿真均以HIPERLAN／2为例，但不失一般性，它们同样适合于WPAN/WLAN等类似系统。

高功率脉冲水中放电的应用及其发展

首先介绍了高功率脉冲水下放电的机理，然后综合论述了其应用和研究的状况，从较为成熟的脉冲水处理技术到医疗领域的ESWL应用技术，以及在脉冲电场食品杀菌和水下目标探测方面的最新发展和研究，最后指出了高功率脉冲电技术应用前景以及进行更系统和深入研究的必要性。     

Micro assembly injection moulding

Injection moulding is established as one of the most common manufacturing processes of thermoplastics due to its high degree of automation and the short cycle times. Micro injection moulding is a rapidly growing technology that allows for the efficient production of very complex micro parts in high series. The “Market Analysis for Microsystems II 2002–2005” of the Nexus Task Force anticipates a yearly growth in the field of micro system technology of about 20% (Wechsung et al. 2002). This study identifies in addition to the continuous miniaturization the growing use of polymers in micro systems (Schneider et al. 2001). No other material group offers this wide range of material properties and permits to choose processing parameters and application properties according to necessities (Gächter 2000). While the production processes of micro technical components are mainly controllable, the assembly of these components to hybrid micro systems is a bottleneck to the industrial large scale production. The assembly itself represents a large fraction of the added product value and gains in importance with growing complexity and miniaturization of the systems.

LCoS光学引擎作为整个背投的一个要组成部分，其照明系统显著地影响着LCoS背投的性能。详细分析了影响照明效果的各个因素，并利用ZEMAX软件设计出了单片LCoS光学引擎中基于彩色LED光源的照明系统，该系统能达到较好的亮度和均匀性，满足整个光机系统的成像要求。
