Reflections on a profession: What's in a name?

A profession's self-identifying label has a normative effect on its practitioners. This article briefly explores the consequences of the term psychoanalyst and discusses some of the inherent contradictions in its use in clinical practice. The need for human beings to talk to and to listen to each other is explored, and the import for both participants is discussed and placed within an historical context. Psychotherapy in Argentina: Theoretical orientation and clinical practice.

This article focuses on the relationship between theoretical orientation and clinical practice in Argentina. Five hundred twenty-five psychotherapists were surveyed in the city of Buenos Aires and the provinces of Buenos Aires, Santa Fe, La Pampa, Neuquén, Chubut, and Rio Negro. Psychoanalysis was chosen by 53.1% of the psychotherapists as the main theory used in their clinical practice. Integrationists made up 39.8% of the sample and represented the 2nd most important group. Within the integrationist group, psychoanalysis was mentioned by 63.2% as the main or base theory, followed by 12.9% mentioning cognitive theory. A longitudinal analysis shows how the trend toward integration of the different theories has grown over the years. These results reveal the importance of psychoanalysis and the trend toward integration within clinical practice in Argentina. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2010 APA, all rights reserved)

某气井投产5年后井下管柱因CO2等综合性酸性腐蚀穿孔、断脱，全井形成长片、断根，甚至部分井段双落鱼并行卡死，2005年通过下开窗捞筒、反扣钻杆、倒扣捞矛等修井打捞工具对其进行分段打捞处理。文章总结了该井历时近8个月的修井过程及技术要点，为今后同类气井修井作业及气井完井提供了参考依据。

为浙江省编制洪水风险图始于1989年,根据浙江省的洪水灾害特点,基本资料情况等,采取了以历史水灾-水文学法为主的洪水风险分析方法,而在水库溃坝风险分析中运用了水力学二维仿真模型.在洪水风险图的基础上还延伸开发了水灾损失评估系统,并在防御台风、洪水中发挥了显著的减灾效益,同时也为其他领域提供强有力的科学决策依据.

简述了《炼钢》杂志的办刊方针，回顾和分析了创刊18年来共100期录用文章对办刊方针的体现简况，并对进一步办好《炼钢》杂志提出了意见。     

Effects of repeated practice and contextual-writing experiences on college students' writing skills.

The authors examined the effects of both general and task-specific writing experiences on college students' writing-skill development. On the basis of theories of expertise development and a cognitive process theory of writing-skill development, the authors predicted that repeated practice would be associated with superior writing skills and that after controlling for repeated practice, writing within a specific task domain would be associated with superior writing skills. Undergraduate students participated in a field experiment in which 279 students practiced their writing skills in a professionally relevant task domain, whereas another group of 385 students practiced their writing skills in a more general domain. The results were consistent with the predictions. The authors discuss implications for teaching writing skills and for general theories of expertise development in writing.
