In this paper, modeling of the vibration of cylindrical shell components of space structures incorporating piezoelectric sensor/actuators (S/As) for optimal vibration control is proposed and formulated. The parameters of the control system, which include the placement and sizing of the piezoelectric S/As and the feedback control gains, were considered as design variables and optimized simultaneously. The effect of the amount of piezoelectric patches was investigated as well. The criterion based on the maximization of energy dissipation was employed for the optimization of the control system. A modified real-encoded genetic algorithm (GA) dealing with various constraints has been developed and applied to search for the optimal placement and size of the piezoelectric patches as well as the optimal feedback control gains. The results of three numerical examples, which include a simply supported plate, a simply supported cylindrical shell, and a clamped-simply supported plate, demonstrated significant vibration suppression based on the optimal design of the control system. It was also found that for specific controlled vibration modes, the optimal distribution of the piezoelectric S/As should be located at the areas separated by the nodal lines to achieve the optimal control effect. Glass fiber-reinforced polymer (GFRP) bridge deck systems offer an attractive alternative to concrete decks, particularly for bridge rehabilitation projects. Current design practice treats GFRP deck systems in a manner similar to concrete decks, but the results of this study indicate that this approach may lead to nonconservative bridge girder designs. Results from a number of in situ load tests of three steel girder bridges having the same GFRP deck system are used to determine the degree of composite action that may be developed and the transverse distribution of wheel loads that may be assumed for such structures. Results from this work indicate that appropriately conservative design values may be found by assuming no composite action between a GFRP deck and steel girder and using the lever rule to determine transverse load distribution. Additionally, when used to replace an existing concrete deck, the lighter GFRP deck will likely result in lower total stresses in the supporting girders, although, due to the decreased effective width and increased distribution factors, the live-load-induced stress range is likely to be increased. In the United States alone, about 30% of the bridges are classified as structurally deficient or functionally obsolete. To alleviate this problem, a great deal of work is being conducted to develop versatile, fully composite bridge systems using fiber-reinforced polymers (FRPs). To reduce the self-weight and also achieve the necessary stiffness, FRP bridge decks often employ hollow sandwich configurations, which may make the dynamic characteristics of FRP bridges significantly different from those of conventional concrete and steel bridges. Due to the geometric complexity of the FRP sandwich panels, dynamic analyses of FRP bridges are very overwhelming and rarely reported. The present study develops an analysis procedure for the vehicle-bridge interaction based on a three-dimensional vehicle-bridge coupled model. The vehicle is idealized as a combination of rigid bodies connected by a series of springs and dampers. A slab FRP bridge, the No-Name Creek Bridge in Kansas, is first modeled using the finite-element method to predict its modal characteristics, then the bridge and vehicle systems are integrated into a vehicle-bridge system based on the deformation compatibility. The bridge response is obtained in the time domain by using an iterative procedure employed at each time step, considering the deck surface roughness as a vertical excitation to the vehicle. The bridge dynamic response and the calculated impact factors are compared between the FRP slab bridge and a corresponding concrete slab bridge. Finally, the applicability of AASHTO impact factors to FRP bridges is discussed. 相似文献

进行型钢混凝土标准推出试件试验,对型钢混凝土粘结滑移性能和粘结滑移受力机理研究.根据荷载-加载端滑移曲线的试验研究结果,建立型钢混凝土特征粘结强度、特征滑移的统计回归计算公式,并提出型钢混凝土粘结滑移本构关系数学模型.进一步采用所建立粘结滑移基准本构模型对型钢混凝土推出试件进行ANSYS数值模拟分析,数值模拟结果与试验结果吻合较好.研究结果表明,所建立型钢混凝土粘结滑移本构模型简单实用,并且能较全面的反映混凝土强度等级、横向配箍率、型钢埋置长度和型钢保护层厚度等主要影响因素的影响,可为型钢混凝土粘结滑移性能和型钢混凝土结构数值模拟技术研究提供参考. 相似文献

以徐州大黄山矿区耕地质量为例,通过对历年监测点数据资料和现场调查资料的分析,揭示高潜水矿区耕地质量在采矿业和农业交替扰动下的变化特征和驱动力,为合理选择复垦方式和利用方式以保证耕地可持续利用提供理论依据.研究表明,矿区耕地在利用-破坏-复垦-再利用过程中,其质量总体经历了下降-恢复-提高的变化,其中土壤肥力指标变化速度较快但不同指标变化不平衡;土壤环境质量指标变化则缓慢,有的甚至不可逆;耕地排灌条件改善明显,水资源数量保证率提高而水资源质量有所下降. 相似文献

The problem of optimal design of structures with active support is analyzed in the paper. The sensitivity expressions with respect to the generalized force and the position of actuator are derived by the adjoint structure approach. Next, the optimality conditions are formulated by means of an introduced Lagrangian function. The problem of introduction of a new actuator is also considered and the condition of modification is expressed by means of the topological derivative. The obtained sensitivity formula, optimality conditions and modification conditions are applied in the optimization algorithm with respect to the number, positions and generalized forces of the actuators. Damage tolerance analysis (DTA) was considered in the global design optimization of an aircraft wing structure. Residual strength and fatigue life requirements, based on the damage tolerance philosophy, were investigated as new design constraints. The global/local finite element approach allowed local fatigue requirements to be considered in the global design optimization. AFGROW fatigue crack growth analysis provided a new strength criterion for satisfying damage tolerance requirements within a global optimization environment. Initial research with the ASTROS program used this damage tolerance constraint to optimize cracked skin panels on the lower wing of a fighter/attack aircraft. For an aerodynamic and structural model of this type of aircraft, ASTROS simulated symmetric and asymmetric maneuvers during the optimization. Symmetric maneuvers, without underwing stores, produced the highest stresses and drove the optimization of the inboard lower wing skin. Asymmetric maneuvers, with underwing stores, affected the optimum thickness of the outboard hard points. Subsequent design optimizations included DTA and von Mises stress constraints simultaneously. In the configuration with no stores, the optimization was driven by the DTA constraint and, therefore, DTA requirements can have an active role to play in preliminary aircraft design. 相似文献

A general framework for estimating nonlinear functions and systems is described and analyzed in this paper. Identification of a system is seen as estimation of a predictor function. The considered predictor function estimate at a particular point is defined to be affine in the observed outputs and the estimate is defined by the weights in this expression. For each given point, the maximal mean-square error (or an upper bound) of the function estimate over a class of possible true functions is minimized with respect to the weights, which is a convex optimization problem. This gives different types of algorithms depending on the chosen function class. It is shown how the classical linear least squares is obtained as a special case and how unknown-but-bounded disturbances can be handled.Most of the paper deals with the method applied to locally smooth predictor functions. It is shown how this leads to local estimators with a finite bandwidth, meaning that only observations in a neighborhood of the target point will be used in the estimate. The size of this neighborhood (the bandwidth) is automatically computed and reflects the noise level in the data and the smoothness priors.The approach is applied to a number of dynamical systems to illustrate its potential. 相似文献
