Chinese calligraphy is a unique visual art, and is still emitting fascinating artistic brilliance and charm. The artistic beauty of Chinese calligraphy is constituted by two elements, i.e., form and spirit, which attract continual attentions by calligraphy artists. In this paper, we present Shear-Guided filter to extract the artistic information. Shear-Guided filter is designed by combining the shear transformation and the guided filter. It has both the edge-preserving smoothing property from the guided filter and the linear multidirectional property from the shear transformation. Shear-Guided filter can extract more spirit information from the calligraphy images, especially in the half-dry strokes. Furthermore, the previous evaluation parameters consider all pixels equally, which is against the truth. Here we put forward three new parameters to solve this issue. Finally, experiments show that Shear-Guided filter can extract the information of form and spirit more accurately, and the new evaluation parameters have better performances in evaluation. 相似文献

Recent advancements in engineering technology have enabled the construction of super-large underground engineering projects in China. Currently, the ventilation requirements and standards of normal-size underground spaces are used for super-large underground excavating engineering projects in China. For example, the minimum air velocity of 0.15 m/s is the standard velocity for normal-size underground spaces; however, this value is also used as the required air velocity for diluting underground contaminants in super-large underground developments. This paper aims to examine the minimum ventilation requirements for super-large underground developments (S > 100 m2). A three-dimensional computational domain representing a full-scale underground space has been developed. The pertinent parameters such as dust concentration, smoke density, oxygen concentration and air temperature have been simulated. The results show that at some specific underground conditions, the ventilation air velocity of 0.15 m/s is sufficient to control the dust level, provide required oxygen concentration and maintain the air temperature at acceptable levels during development; however, it is not sufficient to bring the CO concentration below an acceptable safe limit. Underground coal gasification (UCG) is a process which converts deep, un-mineable or difficult to mine coal resources into syngas which can then be converted into valuable end products such as electric power, liquid fuels, synthetic natural gas and chemicals. This paper provides a summary of the UCG operations conducted at the Chinchilla Demonstration Facility in Australia, focusing on gasifiers constructed using directional drilling. A number of the experiences and key lessons learned from operating multiple underground gasifiers over several years at the facility are described. Implications for the implementation in commercial projects using UCG are also discussed. Finally, the potential of UCG as a method for producing syngas from deep coal is discussed and some of the challenges and opportunities are summarized. 相似文献

The systematic recording of underground structures, their location, use as well as other characteristics is something that is still missing from the global engineering community. The paper presents the development of the Underground Atlas Project which aims at gathering and indexing the major underground sites worldwide, becoming the focal point of information regarding subsurface structures. The main features of the project are found in the development of the electronic database to store and depict the spatial information of the site, as well as in the crowdsourcing concept that was selected for the data and information submission. To foster the submission process, a new taxonomy and categorization of underground space uses has been proposed, while a respective web service and mobile app was developed by the design team. The users can either browse through the records stored or, more importantly, can submit new content either by using their browser or by taking advantage of the geolocation capabilities of their mobile device. Finally, the Atlas will provide the opportunity for the meta-analysis of the data by using and benefiting from the accumulated knowledge and collective experience of the engineering community. 相似文献
