本文以应用无机化学专业课程为例,探索如何在应用型化学类本科专业课教学中引入生产、教学、科研一体化教学模式提高专业课授课效果,阐述了该教学模式实施的条件、特点、效果及其在实施过程中需要妥善处理的问题。

APA/APAGS Award for Distinguished Graduate Student in Professional Psychology: Julie E. Braciszewski.

Julie E. Braciszewski, recipient of the APA/APAGS Award for Distinguished Graduate Student in Professional Psychology, is cited for her noteworthy efforts to decrease mental health and academic service disparities among low-income, urban African American youth. Braciszewski recognizes that educational achievement is the clearest and most reliable route to breaking the cycle of persistent poverty. She has substantially contributed to research in understanding the needs of inner city children and the processes that contribute to their risk and success. Award for Distinguished Professional Contributions to Knowledge: Marvin R. Goldfried.

Marvin R. Goldfried received the 2001 Award for Distinguished Professional Contributions to Knowledge. He was given this award because of his contributions to the science and practice of clinical psychology. He has written or edited defining works in the areas of Rorschach, cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy, and psychotherapy integration. Environmental management of the design process. Managing multidisciplinary design: the role of environmental consultancy

Complexity and multi-disciplinary represent the challenge that the design and construction of sustainable buildings have to face. The nature and quantity of information needed are further considerations which lead to re-thinking the whole design process. The architect alone cannot have all the skills required, so he/she should be able to rely on other specialized professionals. In some European countries, environmental consultancy—which deals with ecology matters—is becoming more and more crucial for the design of a successful building. Taking into account two British consultancy companies—investigated as case studies—this paper looks at the way the design process related to complex projects is managed, and at the effects on the architectural sector.

Corporate Ethics in the Construction and Engineering Industry

Ethical conduct is closely related to legal conduct although they do not always overlap, leaving ambiguity over appropriate actions in specific circumstances. This uncertainty can be reduced by designing organizations which encourage ethical behavior. This paper investigates the organizational factors that inhibit and encourage ethical behavior in the construction and engineering industry. A total of 27 factors are identified as playing a potentially important role in influencing ethical conduct in the industry. A survey of construction firms identifies three factors as particularly influential, namely, the absence of ethics training programs; the absence of reward systems for those who act ethically within the industry, and the low level of “visibility” that exists within the industry. These findings are important for an industry that has become negatively stigmatized with poor ethical conduct. The paper concludes with a series of organizational and contractual recommendations to help the industry achieve higher standards of ethical conduct.
