This work is concerned with the problem of point set matching over features extracted from images. A novel approach to the problem is proposed which leverages different techniques from the literature. It combines a number of similarity metrics that quantify measures of correspondence between the two sets of features and introduces a non-iterative algorithm for feature matching based on spectral methods. The flexibility of the technique allows its straightforward application in a number of diverse scenarios, thus overcoming domain-specific limitations of known techniques. The proposed approach is tested in a number of heterogeneous case studies: of synthetic nature; drawn from experimental biological data; and taken from known benchmarks in computer vision. 相似文献

Image mosaicing, the process of obtaining a wider field-of-view of a scene from a sequence of partial views, has been an attractive research area because of its wide range of applications, including motion detection, resolution enhancement, monitoring global land usage, and medical imaging. A number of image mosaicing algorithms have been proposed over the last two decades. This paper provides an in-depth survey of the existing image mosaicing algorithms by classifying them into several groups. For each group, the fundamental concepts are first explained and then the modifications made to the basic concepts by different researchers are explained. Recently, the problem of intrinsic shape matching has received a lot of attention. A number of algorithms have been proposed, among which random‐sampling‐based techniques have been particularly successful due to their generality and efficiency. We introduce a new sampling‐based shape matching algorithm that uses a planning step to find optimized “landmark” points. These points are matched first in order to maximize the information gained and thus minimize the sampling costs. Our approach makes three main contributions: First, the new technique leads to a significant improvement in performance, which we demonstrate on a number of benchmark scenarios. Second, our technique does not require any keypoint detection. This is often a significant limitation for models that do not show sufficient surface features. Third, we examine the actual numerical degrees of freedom of the matching problem for a given piece of geometry. In contrast to previous results, our estimates take into account unprecise geodesics and potentially numerically unfavorable geometry of general topology, giving a more realistic complexity estimate. 相似文献

We present a suitable virtually documented environment system providing the user with high level interaction possibilities. The system is dedicated to applications where the operator needs to have his hands free in order to access information, carry out measurements and/or operate on a device (e.g. maintenance, instruction). The system merges video images acquired through a head-mounted video camera with synthetic data (multimedia documents including CAD models and text) and presents these merged images to the operator. Registration techniques allow the operator to visualise information properly correlated to the real world: this is an essential aspect in order to achieve a feeling of presence in a real environment. We increase the sense of immersion through high level Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) allowing hands-free access to information through vocal commands as well as multimodal interaction associating speech and gesture. In this way, the user can access information and manipulate it in a very natural manner. A scheme that registers and aligns digital image lesions of psoriasis within and between sessions is proposed. Lesions to be tracked are found under the assumption of being the object of largest size in thematic maps produced by a two-step hierarchical classification scheme that uses the output of an expectation-maximization algorithm to obtain a classification window of optimal size. Advantage is taken of the fact that the shape and the size of lesions with psoriasis do not change very much along the time. A first alignment of the lesions is done assuming that the correspondence between points is given by equivalence of positions of pixels after translations and rotations. Finally, a combined contextual registration and alignment scheme is applied. The alignment and registration schemes both use an Extreme Value Detection Algorithm based on a retinal mapping model. The output of the scheme is satisfactory not only in terms of visual appreciation of the aligned lesions, but also because the variation within sessions in the aligned lesions resembles randomly distributed Gaussian noise. 相似文献

为了提高虚拟齿轮形貌点云和实测非均匀齿轮形貌点云的配准精度提出一种配准方法。首先以实测齿轮形貌点云数据为基准生成与其数量相同的虚拟齿轮形貌点云数据;再利用互相关算法求出这两组点云数据的初相位,并对虚拟齿轮形貌点云进行相位平移;最后以实测齿轮形貌点云数据为基准,重新生成一组与其点与点对应的虚拟齿轮形貌点云数据,实现两组点云数据的精确配准。实验结果表明:当周采样数目为125952时,采用一维非均匀齿轮形貌点云配准方法较迭代最近点(ICP)算法,角位移配准精度提高了0.0008°,线位移配准精度提高了4μm。该方法可提高非均匀齿轮形貌点云的配准精度。 相似文献
