Laboratory simulated slipstream testing of novel sulfur removal processes for gasification application

The Wabash River Integrated Methanol and Power Production from Clean Coal Technologies (IMPPCCT) project is investigating an Early Entrance Coproduction Plant (EECP) concept to evaluate integrated electrical power generation and methanol production from coal and other carbonaceous feedstocks. Research, development and testing (RD&T) that is currently being conducted under the project is evaluating cost effective process systems for removing contaminants, particularly sulfur species, from the generated gas which contains mainly synthesis gas (syngas), CO₂ and steam at concentrations acceptable for the methanol synthesis catalyst. The RD&T includes laboratory testing followed by bench-scale and field testing at the SG Solutions Gasification Plant located in West Terre Haute, Indiana. Actual synthesis gas produced by the plant was utilized at system pressure and temperature for bench-scale field testing.     

Characterization of Thai limestone for desulphurization in a fluidized bed combustor

The objective of this study is to determine the chemical kinetics of desulphurization of Thai limestone in an atmospheric fluidized bed combustor (AFBC). The experiments, which employed the batch technique using the limestone samples from six major sources in Thailand, were performed in a laboratory‐scale AFBC. The results obtained were analysed and correlated in the form of apparent reaction rate and deactivation rate constants as a function of operating conditions of the furnace and their properties, respectively. The formulae derived from these correlations were kept as general as possible in order that they could be used as input parameters for the selected mathematical model of desulphurization in an AFBC that is suitable for practical use. Synthesis of silicon oxynitride by infiltration-mediated combustion

Silicon oxynitride Si₂N₂ O was synthesized from a mixture of Si, SiO₂, and Si₃N₄ by infiltrationmediated combustion in nitrogen gas. The chemical/phase composition of product and process parameters (temperature and burning velocity) were studied upon variation in charge composition and initial pressure of gas reagent. Parameters of the reaction yielding single-phase Si₂N₂O have been optimized.      

添加煤沥青提高焦炭强度的研究

本文进行了煤和煤沥青共炭化试验,将煤沥青添加到20kg焦炉内进行炼焦试验。结果表明,煤沥青对武钢用煤有一定的改质作用,添加煤沥青可提高焦炭强度。     

提高炮采工作面块煤率的爆破技术

通过小规模爆破试验，用线性回归方法对块煤进行筛分分析，指出影响炮采工作面块煤率的因素是炸药性能、装药结构、爆破参数、起爆顺序、时间间隔等。     

旋风燃烧器冷态模型内颗粒运动轨迹计算

在冷态模型流场内，考虑气流对粉煤颗粒的气动阻力，建立其运动微分方程式。通过计算，得到九种粒径的颗粒在流场中的运动轨迹、停留时间、着膜位置和气－固相相对速度与该燃烧器几何参数和气动参数的关系，为燃烧器的深入研究提出了建议。     

A sensitivity analysis of the linear complementarity programming model: Appalachian steam coal and the natural gas market

There have been extensive attempts in recent years to perform spatial equilibrium analysis of commodity markets, particularly that of energy. Most of these attempts have been based on linear programming transportation models, and more recently quadratic programming models. Unfortunately, neither of these modelling approaches can deal with the case of multi-commodity analysis with non-symmetric regression coefficients. In this paper, we overcome this problem by employing the linear complementarity programming model. In addition, we show how the model can be applied to coal and gas energy flows within a single region. Future potential applications of the model are also implied.

从分析中心焦柱在炉缸内的受力出发，计算了１０００￣５５８０ｍ＾３高炉大喷煤前后中心焦柱在炉缸铁水内的沉入深度，分析了炉缸内铁水环流的产生与炉缸内衬侵的关系，分析表明大喷煤有得利抑制铁水环流对缸内补的冲刷，提出了降低铁水环流对炉缸内衬侵蚀的途径。
