SPECTRAL RADIUS,KRONECKER PRODUCTS AND STATIONARITY

Abstract. We provide a stochastic proof of the inequality ρ(A?A+B?B) ≥ρ(A?A), where ρ(M) denotes the spectral radius of any square matrix M, i.e. max{|eigenvalues| of M}, and M?N denotes the Kronecker product of any two matrices M and N. The inequality is then used to show that stationarity of the bilinear model will imply stationarity of the linear part, i.e. the linear ARMA model for r= 1 and q= 1. Furthermore, it is shown that stationarity of the subdiagonal model, i.e. the bilinear model with b_ij=0 for i< j, again implies stationarity of its linear part, provided that the stationarity condition given by Bhaskara Rao and his colleagues is met. Interestingly, the conclusion that stationarity of the subdiagonal models, implies that the linear component models cannot be extended to the general non-subdiagonal bilinear models. The last observation is demonstrated via a simple example with p=m= 1, r= 0 and q= 2.

The properties of electroactive ruthenium oxide coatings supported by titanium-based ternary carbides

Electroactive oxide coatings on titanium, known in industrial chlorine production as dimensionally stable anodes (DSA), are of limited service life owing to the dissolution of active oxide, but also due to low corrosion stability of titanium, at high anodic potentials and elevated temperatures. In order to improve the anode stability, ternary carbide, Ti₃SiC₂, could be a promising material for the coating support, since chemical corrosion stability of Ti₃SiC₂ is significantly higher if compared to Ti. In this work, the possibility of the sol-gel preparation of RuO₂-TiO₂ coating on Ti₃SiC₂ is investigated and comparison of the basic characteristics of sol-gel processed oxide coating, Ru_0.5Ti_0.5O₂, applied onto Ti₃SiC₂ and Ti, is reported. Microscopic investigation of the coating surface showed that considerably less cracked coating is formed onto the Ti₃SiC₂ support. Slightly higher voltammetric currents are registered for Ti₃SiC₂-supported coating in H₂SO₄ and NaCl solution. The activity for chlorine evolution is higher, while the currents of oxygen evolution reaction are lower for Ru_0.5Ti_0.5O₂/Ti₃SiC₂ anode in comparison to Ru_0.5Ti_0.5O₂/Ti anode. Even though these preliminary results on the basic electrochemical properties of Ru_0.5Ti_0.5O₂/Ti₃SiC₂ anode and chemical stability of Ti₃SiC₂ are promising, the accelerated stability test in NaCl solution showed that coated Ti₃SiC₂ is not anodically stable and lasts considerably shorter than Ru_0.5Ti_0.5O₂/Ti anode prepared and tested under the same conditions.

高辐射耐热涂层的研制

阐述了一种具有高辐射和耐高温性能的涂层，它可用于铁路的红外轴温探测系统，以提高该系统红外线(红外热量)的辅出度。介绍了涂层的制备工艺及其指标数据的测定原理及方法，分析了影响涂层耐热性及热辐射性能的众多因素。

结合作者的实际工作 ,总结了对工程建设实施“三道质量控制工序”的经验 ,强调了过程质量控制的重要性 ,较为系统地介绍了化工建设项目预验收工作的程序和内容
