A sales agent for part manufacturers: VMSA

The sales activity of most parts manufacturing companies is based on orders of buyers. The process of promotion, receipt and selection of orders of the parts manufacturers is closely coupled with the load status of the production lines. On deciding whether to accept an order or not, as well as negotiating with buyers, sales persons need information such as load and schedule of production lines, and manufacturability of the order. Manufacturability analysis, process planning, and scheduling are therefore key features in developing an agent of sales activity for the parts manufacturing business. In this paper, an intelligent agent, a virtual manufacturing-based sales agent (VMSA) with multi-agent architecture is proposed to support the sales activity for the parts manufacturers in the Internet environment. A VMSA has an integrated architecture of agent and virtual manufacturing. The prototype of VMSA has been developed for a machine parts manufacturing company that has lathe machines, drilling machines, cutting machines, and milling machines.

Parallel crypto-devices for GF(p) elliptic curve multiplication resistant against side channel attacks

All elliptic curve cryptographic schemes are based on scalar multiplication of points, and hence its faster computation signifies faster operation. This paper proposes two different parallelization techniques to speedup the GF(p) elliptic curve multiplication in affine coordinates and the corresponding architectures. The proposed implementations are capable of resisting different side channel attacks based on time and power analysis. The 160, 192, 224 and 256 bits implementations of both the architectures have been synthesized and simulated for both FPGA and 0.13μ CMOS ASIC. The final designs have been prototyped on a Xilinx Virtex-4 xc4vlx200-12ff1513 FPGA board and performance analyzes carried out. The experimental result and performance comparison show better throughput of the proposed implementations as compared to existing reported architectures.

在电子商务环境下,货源信息的质量将直接影响企业业务经营水平。该文对电子商务环境下的货源信息搜索问题进行分析,提出以万维网为信息源,采用Web挖掘和信息检索技术设计实现货源搜索机器人的方法。该机器人内置元搜索引擎,可以扩大搜索范围,通过对搜索信息进行分析处理,从中发现有价值的货源相关信息。     

汽车电子商务与企业ERP的整合

作为汽车企业信息系统主体的制造资源计划MRP-Ⅱ/ERP系统应该与电子商务有机结合起来,充分利用互联网络技术,将供需链管理、客户关系管理、电子商务、办公业务等功能全面集成,形成资源共享、数据共享,适应网络经济的充分柔性的汽车企业管理信息系统.     

CAutoCSD – Evolutionary Search and Optimisation Enabled Computer Automated Control System Design

This paper attempts to set a unified scene for various linear time-invariant (LTI) control system design schemes, by transforming the existing concept of "computer-aided control system design" (CACSD) to novel "computer-automated control system design" (CAutoCSD). The first step towards this goal is to accommodate, under practical constraints, various design objectives that are desirable in both time and frequency domains. Such performance-prioritised unification is aimed at relieving practising engineers from having to select a particular control scheme and from sacrificing certain performance goals resulting from pre-commitment to such schemes. With recent progress in evolutionary computing based extra-numeric, multi-criterion search and optimisation techniques, such unification of LTI control schemes becomes feasible, analytical and practical, and the resultant designs can be creative. The techniques developed are applied to, and illustrated by, three design problems. The unified approach automatically provides an integrator for zero-steady state error in velocity control of a DC motor, and meets multiple objectives in the design of an LTI controller for a non-minimum phase plant and offers a high-performance LTI controller network for a non-linear chemical process.     

Automated configuration support for infrastructure migration to the cloud

With an increasing number of cloud computing offerings in the market, migrating an existing computational infrastructure to the cloud requires comparison of different offers in order to find the most suitable configuration. Cloud providers offer many configuration options, such as location, purchasing mode, redundancy, and extra storage. Often, the information about such options is not well organised. This leads to large and unstructured configuration spaces, and turns the comparison into a tedious, error-prone search problem for the customers. In this work we focus on supporting customer decision making for selecting the most suitable cloud configuration—in terms of infrastructural requirements and cost. We achieve this by means of variability modelling and analysis techniques. Firstly, we structure the configuration space of an IaaS using feature models, usually employed for the modelling of variability-intensive systems, and present the case study of the Amazon EC2. Secondly, we assist the configuration search process. Feature models enable the use of different analysis operations that, among others, automate the search of optimal configurations. Results of our analysis show how our approach, with a negligible analysis time, outperforms commercial approaches in terms of expressiveness and accuracy.     

云计算环境中面向DAG任务的多目标调度算法

为了实现任务执行效率与执行代价的同步优化,提出了一种云计算环境中的DAG任务多目标调度优化算法。算法将多目标最优化问题以满足Pareto最优的均衡最优解集合的形式进行建模,以启发式方式对模型进行求解;同时,为了衡量多目标均衡解的质量,设计了基于hypervolume方法的评估机制,从而可以得到相互冲突目标间的均衡调度解。通过配置云环境与三种人工合成工作流和两种现实科学工作流的仿真实验测试,结果表明,比较同类单目标算法和多目标启发式算法,算法不仅求解质量更高,而且解的均衡度更好,更加符合现实云的资源使用特征与工作流调度模式。
