Wrinkling is a well known phenomenon experimented by tension membranes in Civil Engineering applications. This paper will
present an efficient numerical technique for the computational simulation of such wrinkles in a prestressed membrane. In particular,
the relaxed energy approach (Pipkin in IMA J Appl Math 36:85–99, 1986) is particularized for prestressed membranes (Gil in
Textile composites and inflatable structures, CIMNE, 2003) undergoing moderate strains. Wrinkling conditions in terms of the
Euler-Lagrange finite deformation tensor along principal directions will be obtained. This will provide a framework to describe
properly the initial instant when wrinkles start to be encountered in a prestressed Saint Venant–Kirchhoff hyperelastic membrane.
Subsequently, a modified Helmholtz’s free energy functional will be introduced with the purpose of describing the modified
constitutive behaviour of the continuum after the onset of wrinkling. Consistent derivations of the stress tensor as well
as the constitutive tensor will de depicted. The results will be particularized for membranes and cables in a Finite Element

This study provides experimental evidence for proton and hydrogen formation caused by the anodic electropolymerization of cyclohexyl benzene (CHB), which is a popular electrolyte additive for overcharge protection of lithium-ion batteries (LIBs). It is found that considerable H2 evolution is observed in overcharged LiCoO2/graphite cells, especially when CHB is included as an electrolyte additive. In order to confirm the proton generation during the CHB oxidation, Pt/Pt-rotating ring disc electrode (RRDE) measurements are performed in 1 M Li(C2F5SO2)2N ethylene carbonate/ethyl methyl carbonate (1/2, v/v) solutions with and without CHB. The cathodic ring current is intimately correlated to the anodic disc current, and the cathodic reaction at the ring is determined to be the reduction of the proton. The proton generation efficiency during the CHB oxidation is as high as 90%. Proton liberation is also observed during the anodic decomposition of the electrolyte solvents, although it occurs in a much less stoichiometric way compared with that during the CHB oxidation. 相似文献

On-line NMR spectroscopy can beneficially be applied to studies of supercritical and near-critical fluids as an alternative to optical spectroscopy. The authors present a novel high pressure cell with displacement plunger for on-line NMR experiments on compressible fluids which can be used in conjunction with commercially available SCF NMR flow probes. The on-line technique offers advantages compared to stopped flow techniques such as enhanced control of mixture composition and reaction parameters as well as the facility of engagement into the reaction. In order to increase the efficiency of waste utilization in thermal conversion processes, pre-treatment is advantageous. With the Herhof Stabilat® process, residual domestic waste is upgraded to waste-derived fuel by means of biological drying and mechanical separation of inerts and metals. The dried and homogenized waste-derived Stabilat® fuel has a relatively high calorific value and contains high volatile matter which makes it suitable for gasification. As a result of extensive mechanical treatment, the Stabilat® produced is of a fluffy appearance with a low density. A two-stage gasifier, based on a parallel-arranged bubbling fluidized bed and a fixed bed reactor, has been developed to convert Stabilat® into hydrogen-rich product gas. This paper focuses on the design and construction of the configured laboratory-scale gasifier and experience with its operation. The processing of low-density fluffy waste-derived fuel using small-scale equipment demands special technical solutions for the core components as well as for the peripheral equipment. These are discussed here. The operating results of Stabilat® gasification are also presented. 相似文献
