铭记抗战史 回望高工校——纪念抗日战争胜利60周年

抗日战争时期，高工校（成都电子机械高等专科学校前身）坚持在外东多宝寺办学，克服种种困难，广大师生精诚团结与合作，扩大学校规模，开办短训班，增设航技科、电机（电讯）科培养抗战急需的人才。部份青年学生冲破阻力奔赴抗日前线，为电子高专校史写下了光辉的篇章，为抗日战争挽救国家和民族的存亡与兴衰作出了积极的贡献。

关于日语方位词省略成因的探讨

在日语句子中，“场所／物体（上位）词＋方位（下位）词”是处所表述的常用形式，但在表示动作结果留存的处所意义时，往往省略下位词，而仅用上位词表达。本文就这一语言习惯进行了探讨，认为它主要依据两个条件：其一，人们对下位处所的一致认识；其二，特定的谓语动词对下位处所起到补足作用。

Antiviral Activity of a Novel Compound CW-33 against Japanese Encephalitis Virus through Inhibiting Intracellular Calcium Overload

Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV), a mosquito-borne flavivirus, has five genotypes (I, II, III, IV, and V). JEV genotype I circulates widely in some Asian countries. However, current JEV vaccines based on genotype III strains show low neutralizing capacities against genotype I variants. In addition, JE has no specific treatment, except a few supportive treatments. Compound CW-33, an intermediate synthesized derivative of furoquinolines, was investigated for its antiviral activities against JEV in this study. CW-33 exhibited the less cytotoxicity to Syrian baby hamster kidney (BHK-21) and human medulloblastoma (TE761) cells. CW-33 dose-dependently reduced the cytopathic effect and apoptosis of JEV-infected cells. Supernatant virus yield assay pinpointed CW-33 as having potential anti-JEV activity with IC₅₀ values ranging from 12.7 to 38.5 μM. Time-of-addition assay with CW-33 indicated that simultaneous and post-treatment had no plaque reduction activity, but continuous and simultaneous treatments proved to have highly effective antiviral activity, with IC₅₀ values of 32.7 and 48.5 μM, respectively. CW-33 significantly moderated JEV-triggered Ca²⁺ overload, which correlated with the recovery of mitochondria membrane potential as well as the activation of Akt/mTOR and Jak/STAT1 signals in treated infected cells. Phosphopeptide profiling by LC-MS/MS revealed that CW-33 upregulated proteins from the enzyme modulator category, such as protein phosphatase inhibitor 2 (I-2), Rho GTPase-activating protein 35, ARF GTPase-activating protein GIT2, and putative 3-phosphoinositide-dependent protein kinase 2. These enzyme modulators identified were associated with the activation of Akt/mTOR and Jak/STAT1 signals. Meanwhile, I-2 treatment substantially inhibited the apoptosis of JEV-infected cells. The results demonstrated that CW-33 exhibited a significant potential in the development of anti-JEV agents.     

Photography and the Elphinstone Institution of Bombay

Abstract

Ralizing the potentials of photography, the Court of Directors of the East India company recommended to the Government of Bombay as early as 1845 ‘the encouragement of the study of this useful art of photography in any of the seientific or educational institutions under the control or inf1uence of your government’. They also offered to furnish students with the requisite apparatus, if they found it necessary to procure them from England¹. The proposal was repeated in their dispatch dated 29th December 1854, when they again expressed their desire to establish training in photography. Thereupon, W. Hart, Secretary to the Government of Bombay, requested the Board of Education of Bombay Presidency to submit a scheme for carrying out this project². Mr Stowell, Secretary to the Board of Education, called for the opinions of the Principal of the Elphinstone Institution, and of its Professor of Chemistry³. A small but interesting episode of early photography in India had its beginning in this way.     

Peeking at the ERP Decline stage: Japanese empirical evidence

This research located and analyzed forty case studies in Japan related to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) switching, and specifically discussed the Decline stage of the ERP Life Cycle which has not been concerned enough in the academia. Qualitative data was mainly collected to answer the research questions fully. The results indicate the Decline stage does exist empirically. The prior studies explore the ERP failure cases which usually happen soon after the kickoff. This research finds empirical evident that both Large Enterprises (LEs) and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) have experienced some kinds of declining in system performance and business performance, and had the urges and needs to retire or upgrade the current ERP system. Based on the findings, the causes of ERP termination, the two strategies which organizations adopted to deal with the current ERP systems, and the five events after the decision-making point were summarized and discussed. The findings also revealed three ambiguous issues that need more efforts. The results of this research fill up the blank in the ERP life cycle theory for more than one decade. The findings from a relatively large sample can also help practitioners and researchers to explore the shifting period more thoroughly and to build tools to solve current and potential problems in order to prepare and assist organizations.     

日本办公建筑的绿色生态设计及其评价

介绍了日本2个绿色办公建筑实例及其获得的评价,总结了新建和改建办公建筑的主要绿色技术亮点,阐述了自然采光、可再生能源利用、室内舒适性空调设计等方面的绿色生态设计手法,供国内同行参考与借鉴。     

Sex‐related differences in the nutritional value of Japanese quail meat

The objective of the study was to evaluate the impact of birds’ sex on the carcass composition and meat (breast muscle) nutritional value in Japanese quails in a large‐scale four‐generation study. Standard poultry feed was used, based on maize, soya bean meal and wheat. Four generations of quails were housed up to the age of 17 weeks each. Then samples of breast muscle were collected after dissection and analysed for basic nutrient content and for fatty acids composition. Results were analysed by GLM procedure in SAS, and significance of differences between birds of different sex was estimated by Duncan's test. Dissection revealed marked differences between birds’ of different sex in case of relative organ weight. Results of meat analyses showed no differences in the basic composition. Fatty acids analyses showed a more advantageous profile in female meat.
